Gaoyuan returned to the classroom and saw Li Wan's textbook still there, realizing she hadn't gone home yet. He sat down on a chair, feeling a bit dizzy. It then occurred to him that he had run out of his medication. He struggled to support his head until he fainted.
When I returned from the dance studio, the classroom was empty. I packed my things, preparing to go home. Just as I reached the door, something suddenly crossed my mind, and I turned back to take a look. Gaoyuan was slumped over the desk, seemingly asleep.
I felt a bit puzzled and walked over to call him, "Hey, Gaoyuan?" He didn't respond. I called again, "Hey, Gaoyuan?" Still no response. I reached out and nudged him, "Hey, Gaoyuan?" He remained motionless.
Realizing something was wrong, I quickly hugged him. He was too heavy, and I found it hard to breathe. I wanted to go outside to find someone for help, but just then, he opened his eyes briefly before closing them again. At that moment, his phone rang.
I hesitated for a moment, took out his phone, and pressed the answer button. "Hey, Yuan, when are you coming back?" It was a girl's voice.
I replied, "Hello, Gaoyuan has fainted. Are you a family member?" There was a pause on the other end. "I'm his mother; I'm on my way now. Please take care of him until I arrive."
I said, "Okay, please hurry." After hanging up the phone, I gently patted Gaoyuan's face. "Wake up, Gaoyuan."
Gaoyuan slowly opened his eyes and looked at me with a confused expression. "Are you awake now, Gaoyuan?" He responded with silence and closed his eyes again. I felt a bit helpless.
I had no choice but to continue waiting. Half an hour later, Gaoyuan's mother, Zhou Shu, arrived. After helping Gaoyuan into the back seat of the car, I noticed that Zhou Shu was not driving very steadily, causing Gaoyuan to lean towards me repeatedly. My body tensed up, and I didn't dare to move.

When Gaoyuan woke up, it was already nine-thirty in the evening. He opened his eyes and saw Li Wan sitting by the bed, looking down at her phone. She was wearing a pink pajama set, her hair styled in a bun, revealing her fair and slender neck.
Gaoyuan's gaze fell on her profile; her skin was delicate, her nose was high and straight, and her long eyelashes trembled slightly. He couldn't help but reach out, wanting to touch her face. His hand hovered in the air before suddenly stopping. He remembered that she didn't know him yet.
He retracted his hand and gently called out, "Li Wan."
Li Wan turned her head to look at him and asked, "You're awake?"
Gaoyuan replied, "Yeah."
Li Wan said, "I'll get you a glass of water."
Gaoyuan responded, "Okay."
Li Wan stood up to pour him some water. Gaoyuan watched her back with gentle eyes. When Li Wan returned with the water and handed it to him, she said, "Drink some water."
Gaoyuan replied, "Thank you." He took the cup and drank a few sips.
Li Wan asked, "Are you hungry? Should I cook something for you?"
Gaoyuan answered, "I'm not hungry."
Li Wan suggested, "Then how about I peel an apple for you?"
Gaoyuan agreed, "Sure."
Li Wan went to the kitchen to wash the apple and then peeled it. She returned with the apple while Gaoyuan was sitting on the bed, looking down at his phone. Li Wan handed him the apple and said, "Here’s an apple."
Gaoyuan thanked her again as he took the apple and took a bite.
Li Wan: "Is it good?"
Gaoyuan: "It's good."
Li Wan: "Then I'll peel apples for you every day from now on."
Gaoyuan: "..."
He looked up at her: "Why?"
Li Wan: "Because I want you to get better soon."
Gaoyuan: "..."
He was silent for a moment and asked her, "Li Wan, why did you save me?"
Li Wan: "Because you're handsome."
Gaoyuan: "..."
Li Wan: "Just kidding."
Gaoyuan: "..."
Li Wan: "Actually, I think we have a special connection."
Gaoyuan: "Hmm?"
Li Wan: "Look, we've run into each other twice, and both times it was at the same Ice Cream Shop."
Gaoyuan: "..."
He smiled slightly: "It really is a special connection."
Li Wan: "So can you come find me to hang out often in the future?"
Gaoyuan: "Sure."
Li Wan: "Pinky promise."
Gaoyuan: "..."
He extended his finger and made a pinky promise with her.
