"Boom!"
The building behind them collapsed with a loud crash, sending up a wave of gray dust. Ming Juan quickly buried her face in Miao Chengmin's embrace, tightly closing her eyes.
"You’re still so timid..."
Miao Chengmin held Ming Juan close, unable to free his hands to caress her cheek, but he always felt an overwhelming love for her in his heart.

Ming Juan opened her eyes and gazed at Miao Chengmin's jawline.
Miao Chengmin dared not lower his head; he just walked toward Fierce Eagle and Blue Face Hero.
"Look at me."
Miao Chengmin stopped, trying to lower his head but then turning it away again.
Ming Juan could only smile helplessly, reaching out to touch her zombie boyfriend's cheek.
"Do you think I mind that you've become like this?" Ming Juan's gentle tone was filled with warmth and affection.
"..." Miao Chengmin didn't speak because he felt he had no right to answer that question.
"Of course not, silly. Did you even need to think about that?" Ming Juan lifted herself slightly and kissed her zombie boyfriend on the cheek.
"Uh... ah..."
Miao Chengmin didn’t dare to move; how could he dare to hope for a human's love?
Even though she was the girl he deeply loved.
"I don’t care what you’ve been through in these three years; in my eyes, you will always be a hero." Ming Juan released her lips, wrapping her arms around Miao Chengmin's neck, snuggling close and closing her eyes as if she had fallen asleep.
And Miao Chengmin felt as if he had lost his voice, saying nothing at all. He had thought about returning to Earth to see Ming Juan, but he didn’t want to meet her looking so terrifying.
Now that he had seen her, he didn’t expect anything more. As long as Ming Juan was well, he would feel at ease. That Ming Juan was willing to accept him as he was now was already a stroke of luck for Miao Chengmin.

Miao Chengmin heard Ming Juan speak and quickly lowered his head, looking at the happiness on Ming Juan’s face.
"Do you still want to marry me?"
Ming Juan knew that Miao Chengmin hesitated to speak because of his appearance; she hoped her enthusiasm would dispel his concerns about this matter.
"I... want to too," Miao Chengmin said weakly.
"That's good," Ming Juan said, "You promised; you can't go back on your word."
"How could I dare? My little darling wife," Miao Chengmin replied, his voice almost melting away, filled with tenderness and affection.
Ming Juan chuckled softly, opened her eyes, and pouted, "You're annoying."
"Bad, huh?" Fierce Eagle said, "Another prey captured by love."
"We're all like that, aren't we?" Blue Face Hero replied, but he couldn't manage a smile.
Fierce Eagle looked at his serious eyes for a long time and suddenly remembered the countdown.
"Captain An, Hydrogen Bomb has launched."
At this moment, Nightmare and the other The Celestial Warriors were standing in a narrow street, with the nearby billboard flickering as it tried to light up.
Nightmare listened to the sounds outside.
It was getting closer.
Nightmare raised his gun and extinguished the last bit of light on the street—the flickering billboard.
"Wow!"
Suddenly, outside came a series of joyous shouts as if they had found their prey, and the sound of countless footsteps sent chills down their spines.
"Fall back a bit," Nightmare called to Madwoman and Divine Fist. The three of them ran to the end of the street and turned back to see the Zombie Horde pouring in from around the corner.
"One quarter..."
"One third..."
Nightmare calmly watched as the tide of corpses gradually filled the entire street. The tables and chairs on the roadside were kicked over and smashed by the zombies. The originally dark street now resembled bats crawling towards them with flames in the eyes of the zombies.
"Sister..." Madwoman was starting to feel uneasy; she and Divine Fist raised their fists simultaneously.
"That's enough!" As soon as Nightmare finished speaking, Divine Fist immediately raised his fist, and a signal flare shot out from the joint of his fist, trailing a dazzling orange-red light that shone in the snowy night.
"Three quarters!" Nightmare waited anxiously as they looked at the rooftops on both sides of the street.
"Set it on fire!"
With George's command, two Spirit Corps beside him and across from him instantly unleashed explosive flames from their hands!
The other Spirit Corps quickly dodged to the sides in fright.
It wasn't just one Spirit Corps that could breathe fire; there was another one. These two Spirit Corps unleashed their full firepower, and a small flame shot from their hands instantly expanded into fireballs dozens of times larger, covering the street filled with zombies!
The entire street suddenly looked like it was filled with boiling lava, with fiery waves climbing up along the buildings on both sides, directly erasing any chance for the zombies to climb up.

Aibo jumped down from above, shattering the bricks beneath him. He landed behind the three and bent down to extend his hand. The three immediately jumped into Aibo's palm one after another. Aibo turned around and gently curled his fingers to protect them.
The flames spread to Aibo's side, but for Aibo, made of stone, this high temperature actually brought some warmth in this cold winter.
After a while of flames wrapping around Aibo's back and finding it couldn't burn him, they dissipated with smoke.
"Nice job, brothers!" George gave a thumbs up to the two fire-breathing Spirit Corps.
All the zombies that had entered the street were burned to ashes, and the surrounding walls and ground were charred black from the high temperature. Aibo, carrying the three of them, ran out of the street over ground sparking with embers, while the surviving Spirit Corps jumped down from the rooftops, closely following behind Aibo.
"How many zombies are left?" After the three emerged from Aibo's palm, Divine Fist asked Nightmare.
Nightmare opened the perspective of the Hovercraft floating in the sky, looking at the Zombie Horde approaching on the ground. "I estimate we could still fill six office buildings," she shook her head. She raised her gun to show the others that the magazine slot of the Dreamfall sniper rifle was completely empty.
"Phew, I'm exhausted too..." Madwoman unlocked her armor, placing her hands on her knees and gazing at the thin layer of snow on the ground, panting. After fighting in the Zombie Horde for over half an hour, plus running seven or eight kilometers with Dr. Xu earlier, she felt like she was falling apart.
At that moment, Divine Fist noticed a white ripple beneath his feet, and his gaze followed the ripple as it quickly moved into the distance. "What is that...?" Madwoman also looked puzzled.
"Whatever it is," Nightmare said, looking at the flickering sparks on the horizon, "let's meet again in another life."
On Fierce Eagle's side, they were also startled by the sudden appearance of the ripple. The two looked around, but only Ming Juan tapped Miao Chengmin and pointed to the ground. Following Ming Juan's gesture, their eyes fell upon the decapitated body of Zombie Queen Virgil.

"This is bad," Zombie King said as he looked ahead. "She still had a trick up her sleeve."
"What do you mean?" Blue Face Hero and Fierce Eagle looked at Zombie King with questioning eyes.
"Before she died, she must have used her last bit of chaotic energy to send out a signal wave," Zombie King explained.
"Signal wave?" Fierce Eagle suddenly recalled his earlier distress signal.
Blue Face Hero glanced at him and said, "She probably thought we could kill her but wouldn't be able to deal with all the zombies in the city."
"Exactly," Zombie King confirmed. "Virgil wants to summon the remaining zombies in town to wipe us out while we're already weakened."
"Zzz... zzz..."
"Hey, An Team?" Jiao An's voice came through from the other end.
"Go ahead," An Xiaotian replied.
"I have two pieces of news, neither of which is good." Jiao An paused, looking at the horde of corpses rushing toward the city while completely ignoring The Celestial Warriors and Spirit Corps. "The zombies are acting like they're insane; they didn't even glance at us and just headed straight for you."
"And General Jiang says that the Hydrogen Bomb will arrive in about ten minutes."
The Hydrogen Bomb travels at approximately eight hundred kilometers per hour; with this data, An Xiaotian could roughly determine where it had been launched from. Why would a drone drop it from such a distance?
An Xiaotian actually knew what was going on.
"Thank you, General Jiang." An Xiaotian didn't express anything about these two pieces of news; he ended the call and spoke to the light point on the horizon.
"General Jiang must have fought for that controller with his life and released the Hydrogen Bomb early to give us one last glimmer of hope," Nars articulated everything An Xiaotian was thinking.
"Can you handle the horde?" Miao Chengmin asked as he set Ming Juan down.
Of course, he felt as if he had asked a pointless question. The two exhausted warriors before him, one with its armor still malfunctioning and the other covered in wounds, had little chance of surviving even if they continued to fight.
As for Miao Chengmin, he had Chaos Crystals within him to maintain his body. As for his abilities, it was difficult to eliminate all the Soulless unless...
"We'll go deal with the one in the sky," An Xiaotian stated clearly, knowing what Miao Chengmin was thinking.
"What about your armor?"
No sooner had Miao Chengmin spoken than An Xiaotian began summoning the Variant Current within him. Despite the unbearable pain, this was the only way to absorb the excess energy from his armor.

An Xiaotian tilted his head back and did not stop; instead, he increased the intensity of his release, allowing the Variant Current to erode his flesh.

"Xiaotian!" Liu Xuan's voice came from within this body as he quickly took hold of An Xiaotian's hand. "Don't push yourself too hard, okay? We've done great."
"I..." Upon hearing Liu Xuan's voice, An Xiaotian's tears could no longer be held back. He tilted his head back, blinking hard to keep from crying.
"We can't die, understand?" An Xiaotian looked at the distant sparks in the sky. "I can sacrifice myself, but you all are Earth's last hope. As captain, I feel a helplessness called lack of strength."
Liu Xuan and the others—Miao Chengmin and Ming Juan—fell silent.
Although Miao Chengmin had not witnessed An Xiaotian's efforts directly, he could tell from their recent battle that this soldier's punching power had far surpassed known human records. How did he achieve that? It no longer mattered; what mattered was that he saw a greater spirit in this soldier than in himself.

Miao Chengmin summoned Black Lightning into his hand as he faced the approaching clouds of dust.

"You need to hide; the other Celestial Warriors will arrive soon to assist you," Miao Chengmin said as he put away Black Lightning and pulled Ming Juan into an embrace, kissing her soft hair tips.
"I'll wait for you." After Miao Chengmin released Ming Juan, she let go of his hand and turned to run toward the building behind them.
"Xiaotian, I'm leaving," Blue Face Hero said as Thruster ignited immediately, blowing away nearby snowflakes.
"I'll wait for you too," An Xiaotian replied. "Come back alive."
Blue Face Hero made an "OK" gesture and flew toward the Hydrogen Bomb in the sky.
