At that moment, Liu Jiawei also saw me, and his reaction was even more intense than mine as he exclaimed, "How are you here?"
I replied in confusion, "Why can't it be me?"
Liu Jiawei trembled as he said, "Impossible! Didn't you already die? How can you possibly be human?"
It seemed he thought I was a ghost.
I explained, "Look closely, I am very much alive."
Liu Jiawei stared at me for a long time before finally letting out a sigh of relief. "It really is you. How did you get in here?"
I casually replied, "I just walked in."
"Walked in?" Liu Jiawei suddenly panicked. "Where did you come in from? Did you bump into something? We're done for; we're all going to die here."
I quickly said, "Don't say that. I haven't bumped into anything yet."
"That's good," Liu Jiawei sighed in relief. "I've already tried; the way I came from is filled with traps. There's no way we can go back the same way."
I shrugged it off and said, "It's fine. As long as there's a path, I can find my way."
Liu Jiawei frowned and asked, "Did you accidentally touch something earlier?"
I nodded and replied, "Yes, I did touch something, but I've already dealt with it."
Liu Jiawei looked at me as if I were a madman. "Do you know what you're doing? You're joking with your own life!"
I replied calmly, "Since I can come here, I can definitely get out."
"Get out? You wish," Liu Jiawei said with a face full of despair. "I just tried; there's no way out at all."
I said confidently, "Trust me, as long as we move forward, there will definitely be a way."
"Forward?" Liu Jiawei turned to glance behind him. "There are only three paths ahead, and if we choose the wrong one, we'll die."
"Then let's take the middle path." I was too lazy to argue with him and walked straight over.
Liu Jiawei stood frozen in place, looking indecisive.
I urged him, "Come on, why are you still standing there?"
Liu Jiawei forced a smile. "You're so reckless; you definitely won't live long."
Even so, he followed me, as he was afraid to be left alone in the tomb.
We both entered the tomb that Liu Jiawei had come out of, and indeed there were three paths in front of us.
Without any hesitation, I walked toward the middle path.
Liu Jiawei sighed and followed me. "Are you really here to rob graves? You don't look professional at all."
"Professional?" I was taken aback. "What does this have to do with being professional?"
Liu Jiawei said, "Generally speaking, in situations like this, experienced adventurers would throw a candle inside. If the candle goes out, it means there's no oxygen or some kind of danger inside."
"Is there really such a method?" I scratched my head. "Unfortunately, I didn't bring a candle."
Liu Jiawei looked speechless, clearly having given up completely.
We continued walking forward, and the space became narrower and narrower, almost pressing us together.
This path was incredibly narrow, like a corridor, making it difficult to even turn around.
Our footsteps echoed in the tomb passage, sounding particularly eerie.
Liu Jiawei seemed to be quite talkative and continued to ask me questions. "Are you really looking for your Uncle?"
I nodded. "Of course."
"Is your Uncle really here?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure we can get out?"
"Absolutely."
"Why are you so sure?"
"Don't ask, asking means you don't know."
I was a bit annoyed by his question and spoke with a harsher tone.
Liu Jiawei suddenly pushed me, sending me stumbling three or four meters away.
I almost fell and turned to glare at him, "Why did you push me?"
Liu Jiawei looked confused, "I didn't push you."
"If you didn't push me, did I just fall on my own?" I was increasingly irritated and felt that this guy was acting strange.
Liu Jiawei thought for a moment and suddenly changed color, "Did you really feel me push you?"
I snapped, "Of course! Your hand was still on my shoulder."
Liu Jiawei's voice trembled, "I... I was just tying my shoelaces."
Tying shoelaces?
I paused for a moment, turned to take a look, and indeed saw that his shoelaces were untied.
I suddenly felt a chill run down my spine and stammered, "Are you... are you sure you didn't push me just now?"
"I'm sure. Both my hands were tying my shoelaces," Liu Jiawei's face turned pale.
"I thought you felt it."
"I thought it was you who pushed me," my voice began to tremble.
Since Liu Jiawei didn't push me, what pushed me?
Could there be something else in this tomb passage?
At this thought, my heart jumped into my throat.
Liu Jiawei was also scared out of his wits, constantly looking around as if searching for whatever pushed me.
I said nervously, "Let's go, we should leave here quickly."
Liu Jiawei forced a smile and said, "Leave? Can we really leave?"
As soon as he finished speaking, I suddenly saw that there was clearly no one behind him, yet he suddenly ran forward a few steps, almost colliding with me.
This scene was exactly the same as before.
I was terrified, stammering, "What... what just happened?"
Liu Jiawei's face turned pale as he trembled and said, "Just now... something pushed... pushed me."
It really is like that!
There are indeed ghosts in this tomb!
I felt my legs go weak, nearly collapsing to the ground, my heart racing as if it would burst out of my chest.
Liu Jiawei was equally terrified, staring at me with wide eyes: "Little brother, what do we do now?"
I took a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down.
Since I was young, I had heard the elders say that ghosts are most afraid of human Yang Energy. As long as one maintains a righteous heart, even ghosts cannot harm you.
But if fear takes hold, then it's all over.
Thinking of this, I silently encouraged myself, repeating in my mind, "I am human, I am not afraid of ghosts. I am human, I am not afraid of ghosts..."
Seeing Liu Jiawei becoming increasingly frightened and seemingly losing his ability to move, I quickly grabbed his hand and whispered, "Don't be afraid, come with me."
Liu Jiawei trembled and said, "Little brother, my legs are weak; I can't move."
