Chapter Ninety-Eight: The Half-Baked Feng Shui Master (2) 0

The Zheng Family remained the same. Upon seeing Mr. Zhao arrive, they greeted him as a distinguished guest. While busy preparing tea and making arrangements for seating, they instructed their daughter-in-law and Daughter to slaughter chickens and ducks to entertain the gentleman. 0

As the host and guest enjoyed tea and chatted, they exchanged pleasantries about their recent experiences. The Zheng Family expressed their gratitude, saying, "Sir! I must thank you! Ever since you helped my father settle in that good place, everything has been going smoothly for me these past few years! I can't say I've become extremely wealthy, but life has been stable, all thanks to you!" 0

In truth, Lao Zhao could have just gone with the flow; having climbed that unexpected ladder back then, he could just as easily descend now. However, Lao Zhao did not think this way. He thought: No way! I can't be mistaken; it was clearly the “Seven Kill Absolute Land,” how could it be like this? No, I need to figure this out. 0

The sincere words from the Zheng Family felt like needles in Lao Zhao's Ears. 0

After dinner, Lao Zhao told the Zheng Family: "I need to find an old friend; I won't be coming back tonight." He then took his leave and stepped outside. 0

Once outside, ensuring no one was paying attention, he stealthily slipped out of the village. Without much effort, he arrived at the grave of Zheng Old Man, the father of the Zheng Family. He found a spot on the bare rocky hilltop where he had previously brought the Zheng Family and where he had personally guided the construction of this grave. Everything before him looked exactly as it had ten years ago. 0

Lao Zhao climbed up at the hour of Dog and lay down until nearly the hour of Pig, observing that there was no movement at all. He pondered: The hours of Rat and Ox correspond to water; however, it was so dry here that even dew wouldn't wet it—this couldn't be during Rat hour. The hours of Tiger and Rabbit correspond to wood; yet not even a blade of grass would grow here—this couldn't be during Tiger or Rabbit hours either. The Ox corresponds to earth and is also a metal tomb; it seems if there is something significant here, it must be during Ox hour. 0

It was a clear summer night, with a deep blue-black sky filled with stars, twinkling brilliantly. 0

As Rat hour passed into Ox hour, just as he expected, something significant occurred! There was movement! 0

In a low, creaking sound, the grave of Old Zheng's father, Zheng Laodai, slowly cracked open, revealing the coffin inside. The Heavenly Big Dipper emitted seven thin, long, shiny silver threads that floated down and hooked onto the coffin in the grave, trembling as it slowly lifted off the ground, rising higher and higher until it hung in mid-air. A gust of wind blew by, causing the coffin to sway as if it were about to fall. 0

Oh my! How could this happen! As the hour approached, the coffin trembled again and descended back into the grave. The seven silver threads loosened from the coffin and floated back to the Heavenly Big Dipper, while the grave slowly closed with a low creaking sound. 0

Old Zhao watched everything in front of him, his mouth agape, drool dripping onto the ground; he was dumbfounded. It was over. He rubbed his eyes vigorously, but everything remained the same. Before him, the grave was still a grave, and the rocky hill was still a rocky hill; the Heavenly Big Dipper was still the Heavenly Big Dipper. It seemed as if nothing had happened in the world. 0

Incredible! Old Zhao had studied feng shui for a lifetime and learned about yin and yang for a lifetime; he had never seen such a thing in person nor even heard of it. 0

At that moment, if Old Zhao had opened his eyes to this new reality and been wise enough to either stay or leave as he wished, it would have been a happy ending for everyone. Unfortunately, Old Zhao had already developed a heart demon and was walking further down the Demonic Path, unable to turn back. 0

"Damn it! I will break you!" Old Zhao intended to go against heaven's will. 0

The next day, Old Zhao remained at Old Zheng's home, enjoying their warm hospitality. After dinner, he borrowed an incredibly sharp pair of large shears used for trimming tea trees from Zheng's family, claiming that a friend needed them before taking his leave. 0

Just like the day before, he stealthily slipped out of the village with the large shears and made his way back to Old Zheng's father's grave, lying in wait. 0

As midnight passed and the hour approached again, movement began anew. Zheng Laodai's grave slowly cracked open once more, revealing the coffin inside. The Heavenly Big Dipper emitted seven thin, long, shiny silver threads that floated down again and hooked onto the coffin in the grave, trembling as it slowly lifted off the ground once more. At this moment, Old Zhao was undeterred; he picked up the shears and aimed at two of the threads—snip! Snip! 0

However, after cutting twice, the silver threads remained intact; instead, there were now two additional silver lumps. 0

"Stop! Please stop!" A voice filled with urgency came from above. Old Zhao paused with his shears and looked up to see an old man with a white beard. 0

It turned out that seeing Old Zhao cut twice made the old man lose his composure; he revealed himself without hesitation. 0

"Ah, you, sir, are too biased towards your employer. This piece of 'Seven Stars Surrounding the Moon' is already a Feng Shui treasure land, quite prosperous as it is, and yet you still find it lacking! Do you know that with just one cut from you, this silver nugget will produce a talented individual? With two silver nuggets... sigh!" The Old Man trembled as he spoke, shaking his head repeatedly, filled with reluctance and a sense of loss. 0

Mr. Zhao listened, feeling deeply disappointed and angry. In a fit of rage, a red mist rose before his eyes. 0

This red mist directly struck Lao Zhao, and in an instant, Lao Zhao realized he had been hit by the Three Killers God. 0

Forty-nine days later, Lao Zhao returned home. Suddenly, he felt a faint pain in his chest. After counting his fingers, he realized the grim truth: he had only three months left to live. He then summoned the Ancestor Master for help. The Ancestor Master said: "You reap what you sow; I cannot help you with the Three Killers God. Your lifespan has ended; accept your fate!" 0

No matter how much Lao Zhao pleaded with the Ancestor Master for salvation, the Ancestor Master refused to help. Eventually, when Lao Zhao wanted to invite the Ancestor Master down again, the Ancestor Master did not show up at all. With no other options left, Lao Zhao sought out several other masters but found no one who could save him. However, from one of these masters, he heard that only a paper effigy maker could resolve this kind of Three Killers God issue. Unfortunately, he had consulted many Paper Effigy Makers who only knew how to make paper figures but did not understand spells. Until yesterday, he suddenly heard that a highly skilled spell-casting paper effigy maker had arrived in the village, so he rushed to seek my help. 0

In fact, the harm caused by the Three Killers God can be resolved; it is just quite difficult. Normally, his Patriarch would definitely be able to save him. The reason why Lao Zhao's Patriarch refused to help is likely because he felt that Lao Zhao brought this upon himself and could not blame anyone else. 0

The Three Killers God is not an ordinary Killing Intent; it is a spirit of vigilance guarding Feng Shui treasure sites. Although it is referred to as a spirit, it essentially refers to underground ghosts. Every Feng Shui treasure land has ghosts protecting it from unworthy or unfortunate individuals from obtaining or damaging it until a fated person arrives, at which point they will continue to guard it. If the descendants of this fated person exhaust their ancestors' virtue, the Vigilant Ghosts will leave. 0

Because these ghosts guarding Feng Shui treasure lands dwell underground in damp and dark conditions for long periods of time, they gradually develop pestilential energy that is detrimental to living beings. In other words, these Vigilant Ghosts carry disease energy; if living beings collide with them, they are bound to attract illness and disaster. If they do not resolve this quickly, they may lose their lives within months. 0

Seeing that I remained silent, Lao Zhao suddenly began to cry, tears streaming down his face, looking quite pitiful indeed. Perhaps when one is near death, their words become sincere; thus at this moment, Lao Zhao was filled with regret and began to weep bitterly over his desire to harm others. Although he realized his mistake, he was troubled by having an eighty-year-old Old Mother at home and a young Child needing care below him while also having a sickly wife in between them—he could not afford to die just yet. 0

To be honest, I have seen many pitiful people and tragic stories. However, it is rare to see someone like Lao Zhao who brought this upon himself yet cried so sorrowfully. Initially, I intended to turn away; after all, one reaps what they sow—if you want to blame someone for not saving you, blame yourself for your misdeeds. However, seeing his remorseful expression made me momentarily unable to ignore his plight; I sighed and told him to get up. Whether I could save his life would depend on his own fortune. 0

Upon hearing my words, Lao Zhao naturally understood that I was willing to help him. He hurriedly bowed three times and then stood up asking me what to do next; he would follow my instructions completely. 0

I told him that ordinary talismans would not work against the Three Killers God; instead, we needed to make a Paper Figurine using his birth date and name along with hair and nails as substitutes. Then we would use a Nine-Inch Nine Golden Needle Fire Array to dispel the malevolent energy brought by the Three Killers God and its pestilential aura. Since the Three Killers God belongs to earth energy, we must use metal; thus the Golden Needle Fire Array belongs to metal as well. As the saying goes: earth produces metal; only by using metal can we absorb the malevolent energy of the Three Killers God that has invaded his body." 0

Lao Zhao was very surprised and asked if this was enough. 0

I nodded, "Yes, this is the only way to resolve it, but..." 0

"But what? Please speak plainly, I will certainly comply," Lao Zhao said anxiously upon seeing my serious expression. 0

I sighed, "It's just that once the formation is activated, there will be no turning back. Your life will be fused with Paper Figurine. If anything goes wrong during this process, even Great Luo Immortal won't be able to save you." 0

Lao Zhao looked a bit scared, but after thinking for a moment, he still firmly insisted that I help him perform this spell. Perhaps in his eyes, this was his only hope. 0

So, I took Lao Zhao's birth date, name, hair, and nails, and then returned to the city that same day. I told Lao Zhao that I would perform the spell for him tonight, and if he could see the sun tomorrow, it would mean the spell was successful and everything would be over. 0

Lao Zhao was very grateful and wanted to pay me. I refused to accept any money because this kind of Spell was about bringing someone back to life; whether it would succeed was still uncertain, so it wouldn't be right to take his money. 0

That day, I returned to my shop. I didn't do anything else but stayed inside and made a Paper Figurine. On the chest area of the Paper Figurine, I wrote Lao Zhao's birth date and name with ink, and his hair and nails were also incorporated into the body of the Paper Figurine. 0

When midnight arrived, I set up an altar, lit incense, invited Patriarch, and placed the Paper Figurine I made for Lao Zhao on the Altar. The Paper Figurine wasn't large; it was about the size of a fist and six inches long. Once the Paper Figurine was set up, I began to cast the spell and recite the incantation... 0

As soon as the Incantation began, I saw the Paper Man on the Altar suddenly come to life. Although it didn't jump off the Altar, it could blink its eyes and appeared very vivid. Seeing this, I knew that the Spell had officially begun; now Lao Zhao's life depended on the Paper Figurine on the Altar. If I were to cut the Paper Figurine at this moment, then naturally Lao Zhao would not survive either because this Paper Figurine represented his soul! 0

As they say, a person has three souls: Heaven Soul, Earth Soul, and Life Soul. After a person dies, the Heaven Soul ascends to heaven, the Earth Soul enters the Underworld, while the Life Soul lingers around the graves in Yin Zhai. 0
