Chapter Fifty-Nine: Breaking the Formation 0

Although I do not understand the matters at hand, from a standpoint of fairness, they have the right to set prices for their houses and land, regardless of how dilapidated those properties may be. As private property or commodities, they can sell them at the price they deem fit. If you can afford it, buy it; if not, then don’t. However, the current real estate industry is entirely about forced purchases and expropriation. Those who refuse to accept the compensation offered are selfish individuals hindering development—stubborn holdouts. 0

Therefore, after listening to Mr. Zhu's words, I couldn't help but curse him and his ancestors in my heart. For the sake of profit, he has driven people to suicide; those who engage in such actions truly make me think of two words—lack of virtue! 0

However, I also know that people are inherently selfish. Now that things have reached this point, discussing how immoral Mr. Zhu is will not help; it is more important to resolve the immediate trouble. So I asked him if the woman who committed suicide due to forced relocation had any connection to the Feng Shui Master. 0

Mr. Zhu said he did not know if they were related; he only knew they lived in the same area. 0

I sighed and told Mr. Zhu that it was very likely that the Feng Shui Master had developed a grudge against him because of the demolition issue. This could be why he sought Mr. Zhu out for Feng Shui matters, designing a Feng Shui arrangement that turned his building into a cursed one, making it unsellable. 0

Mr. Zhu naturally understood that this was intentional on the part of the Feng Shui Master, leaving him both angry and helpless. Who could blame him? No matter how angry or regretful he felt now, it was too late; after all, he was the one who pressured others in the first place. 0

However, I had a doubt in my mind. Although the Feng Shui Master set up a Soul Lock Formation here, if no one died or no spirits were present when the building was constructed, then this Soul Lock Formation would be ineffective—it would be as good as nothing. How did the Feng Shui Master know that someone would die after the building was completed? Did he deliberately cause the first woman who hanged herself to die by some means? Or did he bring a ghost with him? If it was the former, then this Feng Shui Master would be truly malicious for seeking revenge by harming others. If it was the latter, then it would be even more troublesome because we only saw the souls of those who died in the building, but we had not encountered any ghost brought in by the Feng Shui Master. If that were true, where was that ghost hiding? 0

Since I couldn't figure things out, I decided not to dwell on them. I have always been this way; I am reluctant to think too much about things because I find thinking exhausting and a waste of countless brain cells. There is an old saying: "When you reach a mountain pass, there will be a road; when you reach a bridgehead, it will straighten out." Anyway, one thing follows another; when something comes up, deal with it as it arises—why overthink? However, Grandfather once said my head must have been kicked by a donkey for not using my brain to think things through; of course, he might have been intentionally insulting me. 0

Resolving immediate issues has always been my approach to handling matters. I know that although this Bagua Yin Yang Soul Lock Formation is complex, breaking it is not difficult. 0

Like an ordinary Bagua Formation, breaking through its life and death gates will dismantle the Bagua Formation. The same applies to this Soul Lock Formation; as long as we identify its Yin Gate and Yang Gate, we can break this formation. 0

I focused my mind and looked around. Sure enough, I only found six formation eyes set on the pillars, while two formation eyes had disappeared. It seemed that the two missing formation eyes were the Yin and Yang gates. At this moment, I had activated my Heavenly Eye, so the gray mist did not obstruct my vision much. With the Heavenly Eye open, all I needed to do was observe the Qi. 0

Qi is divided into three types: Yang Qi, Yin Qi, and Sha Qi. Typically, Yang Qi is orange-red, but if it belongs to a highly enlightened monk or someone with great fortune, it appears purple. Some monstrous beasts or cultivated creatures also show orange-red in the enlightened eye, but their colors are dimmer and lack a halo. Those who have achieved their true form appear light yellow; these are collectively referred to as "Yang Qi." 0

Wild ghosts appear white in the enlightened eye, while evil spirits and resentful souls mostly appear gray, with some appearing black; these are collectively known as Yin Qi. In general, the darker the color, the more troublesome it is. Then there is Sha Qi, which is mostly cyan with a hint of blue. Traditional Feng Shui believes that "sharp objects bring Sha," meaning that anything with edges carries Sha Qi; the sharper the edges, the heavier the Sha Qi. 0

In Yin-Yang techniques, there is another saying regarding Sha Qi: "Killing is Sha; harming ghosts is great Sha; harming celestial bodies is ultimate Sha; Sha can accumulate; killing also confounds it." Simply put, anything that has taken a life (especially human) carries Sha Qi. If it has harmed ghosts, its Sha Qi will be significant; if it has killed important figures, it becomes the most Sha-laden object. Sha Qi can accumulate; if one weapon has harmed many ghosts or ordinary people, its Sha Qi can surpass that of a weapon used to kill important figures. 0

With my Heavenly Eye open, I discovered that this Soul Locking Formation only had six formation eyes formed by the Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, and Gen pillars, while the Qian and Dui formation eyes were concealed. It seemed that these Qian and Dui formation eyes were indeed the Yin and Yang gates. 0

If I simply broke the Kun position, I would choose another Cement Pillar to become the Kun position; breaking the Kan position would cause another Cement Pillar to manifest a Kan eye. This formation can cycle endlessly; thus, only by breaking its Yin and Yang gates can I dismantle it. The reason this formation operates as such relies entirely on these two formation eyes of Yin and Yang. These two formation eyes are like generals, while the other formation eyes and Cement Pillars are merely soldiers; everything in this formation is directed by the Yin and Yang formation eyes. 0

Could it be that hiding the Yin and Yang eyes means I can't do anything about it? Since you concealed the Qian and Dui formation eyes, I will create new Qian and Dui formation eyes for you. You have your Yin gate and Yang gate; I will open another set of Yin and Yang gates for you. 0

Thinking this way (to find out how to locate the original site, search for "Heiyanshu" on Baidu and enter Heiyanshu to search for "Zha Paper Craftsman"), I activated my Heavenly Eye and walked to the Qian position of the Bagua formation. Using stones, I drew a Gathering Yang talisman on the ground; this talisman could gather underground Yang Qi onto itself to serve as a Yang gate. Next, I went to the Dui position and similarly drew a Gathering Yin talisman to serve as a Yin gate. 0

Just as I finished drawing the Gathering Yin talisman, suddenly I saw that constantly shifting Cement Pillar come to an abrupt stop for about ten breaths. Then these Cement Pillars resumed their shifting between Yin and Yang again; however, this time they revolved around those Gathering Yang and Gathering Yin talismans. 0

As the Yin and Yang shifted, the energies of those two talismans merged with those Cement Pillars into one entity. Truly, there was you within me and me within you. 0

If I were to break these newly established Yin and Yang gates now, then all formations would once again obey the commands of those previously hidden two formation eyes. Therefore, I must first reveal those two hidden Yin and Yang gates before destroying them together with my own established gates in order to break this formation. 0

However, finding out where the hidden Yin and Yang gates were located was not difficult now because the entire formation had merged seamlessly with my established gates. Thus at a glance, I could see two solitary energies clearly. 0

The two isolated auras, one with a chill in the west and the other with vitality in the east. So, I walked to these two places and directly drew a Dispelling Yin Talisman and a Dispelling Yang Talisman at their respective centers. 0

The purpose of the Dispelling Yin Talisman and the Dispelling Yang Talisman is to disperse the yin and yang energies in that area. These talismans can be used on both humans and spirits. If the Dispelling Yang Talisman is drawn or affixed to a person, that person will soon lose all their yang energy and die within moments. Conversely, if the Dispelling Yin Talisman is drawn or affixed to a ghost, that ghost will also dissipate as its yin energy fades away. This is a simple yet extremely malicious spell. 0

Before long, the hidden yin and yang energies at those two locations had almost completely dissipated. I then moved to the location of the Gathering Yin Talisman and wiped it off the ground. As a result, the entire Soul Locking Array came to a halt, and all the Cement Pillars stopped rotating. 0

Next, I approached the Gathering Yang Talisman and erased it from the ground. The moment I wiped away the Gathering Yang Talisman, I felt the aura of the entire Soul Locking Array vanish instantly; both yang and yin energies disappeared. 0

“Boom…” 0

With a loud bang, I felt the ground tremble. Suddenly, dust surged up from the collision of air currents, filling the entire underground layer with clouds of dust. The dust obscured everything; I could not see or breathe, and the entire floor had become an ocean of dust. Meanwhile, thunderous explosions echoed in my ears; I knew this was the sound of breaking the array, indicating my success. 0

After a long while, the dust finally settled, and the earth became quiet again. 0

I wiped away the dust from my eyes and looked again. The ground beneath me was no longer filled with chilling energy; the parking lot was no longer shrouded in dark mist. Although it was still night, my flashlight could shine directly onto the wall at the end. The two yellow talismans I had previously affixed to the two cement pillars were clearly visible. 0

Finally done! I was overjoyed! 0
