"Looking for me?" Xu Jing was quite surprised. Although they knew each other, they had rarely met formally. At most, they had seen each other a few times at a banquet. Privately, they had never met alone.
Huang Hongwei said, "Can we talk somewhere else?"
Xu Jing nodded, "Come in." She invited him inside. Huang Hongwei followed her in. Xu Jing pointed to the sofa, "Have a seat." Huang Hongwei sat down on the sofa. Xu Jing poured him a cup of tea, "Have some tea." Huang Hongwei took the teacup but did not drink; instead, he placed it on the table.
Xu Jing sat down on another sofa, "What do you need to talk to me about?" Huang Hongwei looked at her, "There's something I want to ask your opinion on." Xu Jing slightly nodded, "Go ahead."
Huang Hongwei hesitated for a few seconds before taking out an A4 sheet from his bag and handing it to Xu Jing. Xu Jing took it and glanced at it; it was a divorce agreement.
Huang Hongwei said, "This is Zhou Qiang's divorce agreement." Xu Jing looked at the contents of the agreement; Zhou Qiang had already filled in his information. He had given her both of his properties and all the savings in his bank account.
As for the reason for the divorce, Zhou Qiang filled in "voluntary."
Xu Jing looked at Huang Hongwei and asked, "Where is he?"
Huang Hongwei shook his head and replied, "He is on a mission."
Xu Jing nodded slightly, "Does he know you came to see me?"
Huang Hongwei said, "No, he doesn't."
Xu Jing asked, "What does that mean?"
Huang Hongwei explained, "He has been very conflicted and doesn't know how to bring up the divorce with you, so I wanted to ask you."
Xu Jing remained silent.
Huang Hongwei continued, "Zhou Qiang has been procrastinating, and I don't know what he really thinks. I came to see you while he was away."
Xu Jing inquired, "Do you want to marry him abroad?"
Huang Hongwei was quite surprised and asked, "How did you know?"
Xu Jing replied, "He told me."
Huang Hongwei lowered his head and said softly, "I told him I wanted to marry him abroad, and he agreed. He just hasn't found the right moment to explain it to you."
Xu Jing asked, "When did he go on the mission?"
Huang Hongwei answered, "It's been thirty-seven days."
Xu Jing questioned, "How much longer will it last?"
Huang Hongwei shook his head, "I don't know."
Xu Jing fell silent for a moment before asking, "Why does he want a divorce from me?"
Huang Hongwei replied, "I don't know."
Xu Jing looked at him. His gaze was clear and did not waver.
Xu Jing knew he wasn't lying.
But she still couldn't understand why Zhou Qiang wanted a divorce from her.
"Is it because of Zhou Qi?"
Xu Jing shook her head.
"Impossible! Zhou Qiang and Zhou Qi don't have a good relationship. Besides, Huang Hongwei doesn't know Zhou Qi."
Xu Jing thought for a moment and asked, "Do you know Zhou Qi?"
Huang Hongwei looked confused. "Who is Zhou Qi?"
Xu Jing stared at him. "You really don't know?"
Huang Hongwei shook his head. "I really don't know."
Xu Jing smiled.
It seemed that Zhou Qiang hadn't told Huang Hongwei about Zhou Qi's existence.
She looked at Huang Hongwei and said, "I agree to the divorce."
Huang Hongwei was slightly taken aback.
Xu Jing picked up a pen and signed her name on the divorce agreement.
She handed the divorce agreement to Huang Hongwei. "I wish you and Zhou Qiang happiness."
Huang Hongwei's eyes instantly turned red.
He looked at her and choked out, "Xu Jing, I'm sorry, thank you."
Xu Jing waved her hand. "Don't thank me; I wish you both well."
If Zhou Qiang was happy, then she would be happy too.
Huang Hongwei asked, "You really don't blame us?"
Xu Jing shook her head. "I really don't blame you."
Huang Hongwei said, "I'm sorry."
Xu Jing smiled lightly. "Don't say sorry; you both must be happy."
Huang Hongwei nodded vigorously and said, "We will definitely be happy."
