"Brother Yan Jien, why are you asking this?" Tong Liya said shyly.
"I need to measure your body data," Yan Jien replied.
"Oh." Tong Liya hesitated for a moment and whispered, "82, 62, 86..."
"It seems you've gained some weight," Yan Jien nodded and said, "Go get a measuring tape."
"Okay." Tong Liya nodded, went to the bedroom, and brought back a measuring tape, handing it to Yan Jien.
Yan Jien took the tape and measured Tong Liya's three measurements.
Indeed, Tong Liya had gained nearly 20 pounds, and her measurements had increased as well.
"Liya, I want to conduct another experiment with you," Yan Jien said.
"What kind of experiment?" Tong Liya asked curiously.
"I want to see how strong your regenerative ability is," Yan Jien replied.
"How do we test it?" Tong Liya inquired.
"Just hold on a moment," Yan Jien said as he pulled out a knife and made a small cut on Tong Liya's finger.
"Hiss—" Tong Liya gasped in pain.
"Are you okay?" Yan Jien asked with concern.
"I'm fine," Tong Liya shook her head.
Yan Jien focused on Tong Liya's finger, observing her wound.
He watched as the wound quickly stopped bleeding, scabbed over, and then fell off, with the skin returning to normal!
The entire process took less than a minute!
"Liya, your regenerative ability is impressive!" Yan Jien exclaimed in surprise.
"Really?" Tong Liya said excitedly.
"Yes." Yan Jien nodded and said, "I want to conduct another experiment."
"Okay," Tong Liya nodded.
Yan Jien took Tong Liya's right hand and made a cut on the back of her hand.
Tong Liya frowned in pain.
"Does it hurt?" Yan Jien asked.
"It hurts," Tong Liya replied pitifully.
"Just bear with it; I estimate this time the healing will take longer," Yan Jien said.
"Okay," Tong Liya nodded.
The two of them stared at the wound, waiting.
Time passed second by second.
"Brother Yan Jien, is it done yet?" Tong Liya couldn't help but ask.
"Almost there," Yan Jien glanced at his watch and replied.
A few more minutes passed.
"Done!" Yan Jien sighed in relief.
"Wow, really!" Tong Liya exclaimed as she looked at her healed wound.
"It took a total of 13 minutes and 18 seconds from the wound scabbing to complete healing," Yan Jien said.
"Brother Yan Jien, is that a long time?" Tong Liya asked.
"Not really," Yan Jien shook his head and replied, "For an ordinary person's wound, it usually takes several days to heal."
"Oh," Tong Liya said, realizing.
"Liya, do you know what your regeneration limit is?" Yan Jien asked.
"What is the regeneration limit?" Tong Liya asked, confused.
"It's the critical point at which your wound can no longer regenerate after being injured," Yan Jien explained.
"I don't know," Tong Liya shook her head.
"You'll gradually discover it in the future," Yan Jien said.
"Mm," Tong Liya nodded.
"Liya, you can watch TV for now; I'll tidy up the room," Yan Jien said.
"Brother Yan Jien, let me help you," Tong Liya offered.
"No need," Yan Jien shook his head and said, "You just moved in; take a rest first."
"Then... okay," Tong Liya hesitated before agreeing.
Yan Jien carried his suitcase and continued tidying up the room.
Tong Liya sat on the sofa in the living room, absentmindedly watching TV.
Her mind was filled with images of the experiment Yan Jien had just conducted on her.
She never expected to have such powerful self-healing abilities!
This made her feel surprised, excited, and a bit scared.
"Liya, I'm done tidying up; let's go out for a walk," Yan Jien said as he walked out of the bedroom.
"Mm-hmm," Tong Liya quickly got up and followed Yan Jien outside.
"Liya, do you know why I bought this house?" Yan Jien asked.
"Why?" Tong Liya asked curiously.
"Because right across is Jinyuan Mountain," Yan Jien said.
" Jinyuan Mountain?" Tong Liya exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes," Yan Jien nodded and said, " Jinyuan Mountain is a primitive forest with many mutated animals inside."
"Brother Yan Jien, you train dogs in the forest, right?" Tong Liya guessed.
"That's right," Yan Jien nodded and said, "I plan to bring back bread and milk tea today."
"Brother Yan Jien, are you going to the mountain?" Tong Liya asked.
"Mm-hmm," Yan Jien nodded and said, "Do you want to come along?"
"Can I?" Tong Liya asked excitedly.
"Of course," Yan Jien smiled and said, "You've completed the mutation; you're already considered half a mutant and can interact with mutated animals."
"That's great!" Tong Liya exclaimed excitedly.
"Let's go." Yan Jien smiled and took Tong Liya into the elevator. Jubao Huayuan is only 5 kilometers away from Jinyuan Mountain, and it can be reached quickly by car. Yan Jien parked the car at the foot of the mountain and walked with Tong Liya deeper into the forest.
"Brother Yan Jien, what do Bread and Milk Tea look like?" Tong Liya asked curiously.
"You'll find out soon," Yan Jien replied with a mysterious smile.
The two walked along the stream and entered the canyon.
"Woof Woof Woof!"
A dog's barking came from afar.
"It's Bread and Milk Tea!" Tong Liya exclaimed joyfully.
"That's right," Yan Jien nodded and ran towards the direction of the pond with Tong Liya.
In the pond, Bread and Milk Tea were playing. After not seeing them for two months, they had grown a lot and were almost the size of an Alaskan.
"Brother Yan Jien, Bread and Milk Tea are so big!" Tong Liya said in surprise.
"Yes," Yan Jien nodded and explained, "Bread and Milk Tea's mother is an Alaskan, and their father is a mutant Wild Dog, so they grow relatively fast."
"I see," Tong Liya realized excitedly, "Brother Yan Jien, can I play with them?"
"Sure," Yan Jien nodded and called out, "Bread, Milk Tea!"
"Woof Woof Woof!"
Bread and Milk Tea immediately swam to the shore and rushed towards Yan Jien.
"Brother Yan Jien, they are so well-behaved!" Tong Liya said with delight.
"Mm-hmm," Yan Jien nodded and introduced them, "This male is Bread, and this female is Milk Tea."
"Hello, Bread and Milk Tea!" Tong Liya squatted down and gently stroked the heads of the two Huskies.
"Woo woo woo..."
Bread and Milk Tea enjoyed it, closing their eyes and sticking out their tongues to lick Tong Liya's palm.
"Brother Yan Jien, Bread and Milk Tea's fur is so soft!" Tong Liya exclaimed joyfully.
