On the 20th, it had been sixteen days since Yan Jien had consumed the Mouse King, and he still had not shown any signs of losing control; his condition remained normal every day.
Yan Jien returned home from work in a good mood. Finally, he didn’t have to go to the office anymore.
In the evening, during Yan Weila's livestream, she left Dou Dou at Yan Jien's house to play with the two little puppies. Yan Jien initially planned to train by himself and let them play on their own. However, he suddenly noticed that Bread and Milk Tea were feeling hungry after dark, though not intensely.
Previously, whenever they felt hungry, they would bite anything in sight. "It seems they haven't attacked Dou Dou," Yan Jien murmured as he watched the two little ones playing with Dou Dou. At first, Yan Jien was worried they might hurt Dou Dou, but after constant suggestions from him, they accepted Dou Dou and now truly regarded him as a companion.
"I wonder if you can control your impulses?" Yan Jien wanted to see if they could restrain themselves, so he didn’t intervene immediately but stayed nearby.
Soon, it was almost ten o'clock. Dou Dou seemed a bit sleepy, while Bread and Milk Tea still hadn’t attacked him. "It looks like the training has been effective," Yan Jien said as he coaxed Dou Dou to sleep on the sofa and continued to observe.
Perhaps due to several days of psychological training combined with playing with Dou Dou every day, their ability to self-regulate their loss of control had significantly improved. By eleven o'clock, their urges gradually weakened, and there were no signs of transformation from them.
"Not bad," Yan Jien fed them some goat milk while they were still hungry, using psychological suggestions to teach them what food was and what they shouldn’t attack.
"Woo woo woo..." They responded to Yan Jien while drinking the milk.
"Alright, it's getting late; you should go to sleep," Yan Jien said. The two little ones finished their goat milk and lay down by Yan Jien's feet.
"Go sleep in Dou Dou's room," Yan Jien instructed. The two little ones walked into Dou Dou's room and climbed onto the bed.
"I wonder if T Liquid will be effective for Dou Dou?" Yan Jien thought with some anticipation.
Yan Weila came back early in the evening to take Dou Dou home to sleep. Yan Jien had mentioned at noon that she should rest early today and see how things went after a nap, so Yan Weila took Dou Dou back to rest.
"You go ahead and rest, Dou Dou. I'll carry you," Yan Jien said.
"It's fine, I can carry him back," Yan Weila shook her head.
"Alright then," Yan Jien did not insist.
Yan Weila carried Dou Dou back while Yan Jien took the two little ones to the terrace on the second floor. He opened the attic room and brought out two male rabbits, placing them on the ground.
Previously, the two little ones had only eaten small white rabbits, weighing less than two kilograms. This time, Yan Jien wanted to try larger male rabbits to see if they could finish them.
Facing the two male rabbits, which were larger than themselves, Bread and Dou Dou initially behaved normally. However, as time passed, within less than an hour, they became restless and started scratching at the male rabbits with their front paws, testing their reactions.
"It seems they can't hold back any longer," Yan Jien shook his head.
This time he did not intervene but allowed them to attack. After a while of testing, they found that the male rabbits only dodged and did not fight back. Their courage gradually grew, and they began to attack actively. Although the male rabbits were larger than them, they did not retaliate and were soon bitten to death, becoming their meal.
After finishing the two male rabbits, Bread and Milk Tea's aggression diminished significantly. Through his mental link, Yan Jien sensed that they seemed a bit drowsy.
"Do they sleep after eating enough?" Yan Jien wondered in surprise. He cleaned up the remains of the rabbits and let them lie down to rest.
About twenty minutes later, Bread and Milk Tea simultaneously opened their eyes, baring their teeth and letting out low growls as if in pain. Soon, Yan Jien saw their bodies swelling slightly, as if something was writhing beneath their skin.
"Is this evolution?" Yan Jien looked at the two little ones in astonishment. Before long, their sizes had increased several folds, now resembling adult dogs.
"Woo woo woo..." The two little ones completed their evolution and walked over to Yan Jien, rubbing their heads against his hand while making whimpering sounds.
"Not bad," Yan Jien said as he patted their heads.
"Now that you both have the size of adult dogs, you shouldn't play with Dou Dou anymore. I'll find you some new playmates," Yan Jien continued.
"Woo woo woo..." The two little ones nodded.
"You can understand my words now. In the future, I will teach you some skills through a mental link," Yan Jien said.
"Woo woo woo..." The two little ones nodded again.
"Very good," Yan Jien said with satisfaction, nodding his head.
He gave the two little ones a bath and then took them downstairs.
...
The next morning.
After getting up, Yan Jien fed Dou Dou some goat milk and then went to knock on Yan Weila's door.
"Why are you up so early?" Yan Weila asked as she opened the door and looked at Yan Jien.
"I wanted to ask you how you felt after using the T Liquid," Yan Jien inquired.
"I feel much better physically, and I slept well last night," Yan Weila replied.
"That's good to hear," Yan Jien nodded.
"Come in and sit down," Yan Weila said.
"No, I need to go back and train," Yan Jien shook his head.
"Dou Dou hasn't woken up yet," Yan Weila mentioned.
"Then when Dou Dou wakes up, bring him over to play," Yan Jien suggested.
"Okay," Yan Weila nodded.
