After several kicks, the bathroom door was kicked open with a loud bang. Luo Qi was slumped on the floor, already in a daze. The Black Dog picked up Luo Qi and tossed her onto the coffee table.
Looking at Luo Qi's exposed body, the Black Dog felt a surge of desire and licked his dry lips, saying, "Such a good woman, what a waste on that useless guy!" With that, he reached out with his dirty hands.
Suddenly, the door to the private room was kicked open from the outside. The unexpected noise nearly scared the Black Dog into submission. He turned around angrily and saw a man with a cold expression and bulging veins on his forehead rushing in.
"Who are you..."
"The one here to take your life!" Ye Yiming shouted angrily as he charged forward and delivered a kick.
In an instant, chaos ensued. The Black Dog cried out in agony, clutching his groin like a cooked shrimp. That kick nearly severed his manhood and left him powerless to resist.
Ye Yiming ignored the Black Dog and quickly moved to check on Luo Qi's condition. Fortunately, she was only disoriented and had not been violated. If he had arrived any later, the consequences would have been unimaginable!
Ye Yiming lifted Luo Qi into his arms and was about to leave the private room when the Black Dog, lying on the ground, glared at him and growled fiercely, "You wait for me, kid..."
"Sure! I'll be waiting for you!" Without letting the Black Dog finish his threat, Ye Yiming charged forward again and stomped down on the Black Dog's groin once more.
The black dog howled in agony as it fell. Ye Yiming showed no signs of stopping and repeatedly stomped on the dog's groin. The area was soaked in dark blood, causing the dog to faint from the pain. Only then did Ye Yiming stop, picking up Luo Qi and leaving the mangrove forest.
Niu Gang's car had not left; it was parked by the roadside. The driver, leaning against the car door and smoking, saw Ye Yiming and quickly tossed away his cigarette, opening the car door.
"Thank you."
"Mr. Ye, you're too polite," the driver replied with a grin, driving Ye Yiming back home.
Ye Yiming laid Luo Qi on the bed and fetched some cool water to wipe her down. Suddenly, Luo Qi reached out and grasped Ye Yiming's hand, mumbling drowsily, "Ye Yiming... I just want to live a peaceful life... why do you have to treat me like this?"
"I... I've been married to you for so long, and there's never been a good day..."
"Ye Yiming... you jerk! I'm so tired... really so tired..."
Tears streamed down Luo Qi's face, her heart filled with unexpressed sorrow. Hearing this, Ye Yiming paused for a moment before continuing to wipe her down.
The drug that Luo Qi had taken was common twenty years later; it merely caused fever and fatigue. After wiping her down, Luo Qi's condition gradually stabilized.
"Qiqi, don't worry, I will never let you down in this lifetime," Ye Yiming said as he looked at Luo Qi's sleeping face, gently covering her with a blanket before turning to leave the bedroom.
Next, he went to the market to buy some ingredients and cooling herbs, picking up Yiyi on the way home. Just as he finished preparing lunch and simmering the medicinal soup, he heard Yiyi's voice: "Mommy, are you awake?"
Luo Qi had woken up. Ye Yiming entered the bedroom with a bowl of medicinal soup and handed it to Luo Qi: "Drink some soup!"
Luo Qi glanced coldly at the soup but did not reach for it; instead, she looked at Yiyi beside her: "Yiyi, you still have to go to kindergarten this afternoon; go eat your meal first!"
