Chapter 7
Just when Lo Sen thought things hadn't completely spiraled out of control, Su Qing suddenly turned against him. She handed over all the evidence I needed—proof of Lo Sen's infidelity, details of asset transfers, and more—planning to secure her own safety through me.
It turned out she had already seen through Lo Sen's lies and was unwilling to continue taking the blame for him. Lo Sen was incredulous; he never expected his mistress would betray him. Su Qing's betrayal was a heavy blow to Lo Sen, plunging him into deep despair.
I used the evidence provided by Su Qing to further pressure Lo Sen, driving him into a corner. Aunt Lin was also forced to accept reality; although she was reluctant, she could no longer argue in the face of irrefutable evidence. Through a series of plans and strategies, I successfully turned the situation around, transforming what was originally an unfavorable position for me into an absolute advantage over Lo Sen and Aunt Lin.
Su Qing confessed to me that the child she was carrying was not Lo Sen's but belonged to another man. The reason she had entangled herself with Lo Sen was that she had been deceived by his sweet words, mistakenly believing he would provide her with the life she wanted. However, she quickly realized Lo Sen's true nature and decided not to sacrifice her future for him any longer. She handed over all the evidence to me, hoping I could protect her child and her assets. I agreed to her request, and in exchange, she continued to cooperate with my plan.
Su Qing's betrayal was a heavy blow to Lo Sen, plunging him into deep despair once again. He had thought Su Qing was his most trusted pawn, someone he could use to restrain me, but he never anticipated that Su Qing would suddenly turn against him and completely destroy his plans.
Lo Sen's face turned pale as he looked at Su Qing in disbelief. "Why? Why did you betray me?"
Su Qing sneered, "You lied to me, Lo Sen."
"You once promised me you would marry me and give me the best life, but you have been deceiving me all along."
"You just wanted to use me to restrain Bai Xi; you never really intended to marry me."
"You are nothing but a selfish little man."
Lo Sen was scolded mercilessly by Su Qing, yet he did not refute her because he knew that what she said was the truth. He indeed only wanted to use Su Qing to restrain me and had never genuinely considered marrying her.
Su Qing looked at him, her eyes filled with disdain. " Lo Sen, I will no longer sacrifice my future for you. I will no longer be your pawn."
Lo Sen was shocked by Su Qing's words; he never expected her to see through him so clearly. He immediately fell into deep despair.
I watched everything coldly, filled with a sense of revenge. Lo Sen, today is your day of reckoning.
Aunt Lin observed the argument between Lo Sen and Su Qing, her face showing deep resentment and anger. She never anticipated that her meticulously crafted plan would be easily unraveled by me. Even more surprising was that her own son would be betrayed by a Mistress.
She looked at me, her eyes filled with malice and bitterness. " Bai Xi, you won."
I smiled at her. "Aunt Lin, you are mistaken. It is not I who won; it is justice that has triumphed."
Aunt Lin scoffed, "Justice? Where is the justice in this world?"
"Only victory and defeat."
I chuckled softly. "You are right; there is only victory and defeat."
"But the victor may not be you."
Aunt Lin looked at me, her eyes revealing deep defeat and helplessness. She knew she had lost completely and could no longer turn back.
I gazed at her, filled with the pleasure of a victor. I had finally defeated Aunt Lin, defeated Lo Sen, defeated this mother-son duo. I could finally free myself from their control.
Su Qing looked at me, her face showing deep gratitude. " Bai Xi, thank you."
I smiled back at her. "No need to thank me; this is what you deserve."
Su Qing nodded, "I promise you, I will cooperate with your plan. I will help you deal with Lo Sen and Aunt Lin."
I gladly accepted her cooperation and began to plan the final counterattack.
