"Mr. Yan, what do you think?" Wu Fangting asked.
"The house is nice, but the price..." Yan Jien hesitated.
"The price can be negotiated," Wu Fangting smiled.
"This house is worth at most four hundred thousand," Yan Jien said.
"Mr. Yan, I bought this house for eight hundred thousand," Wu Fangting shook her head.
"Then forget it," Yan Jien shook his head.
"Mr. Yan, do you really want to buy a house?" Wu Fangting frowned.
"Of course, but the price must be right," Yan Jien nodded.
"How much do you think is appropriate?" Wu Fangting asked.
"About four hundred thousand," Yan Jien said.
"This..." Wu Fangting hesitated.
"If that's not possible, then forget it," Yan Jien shook his head.
"Fine, four hundred thousand it is," Wu Fangting gritted her teeth.
"Miss Hu, I feel like you're in a hurry to sell the house?" Yan Jien asked, puzzled.
"Yes, I urgently need some cash," Wu Fangting nodded.
"Oh," Yan Jien nodded.
"Mr. Yan, when are you available? Shall we go see the house?" Wu Fangting asked.
"I have time right now," Yan Jien said.
"That's great, let's go now," Wu Fangting said happily.
The two left the café and headed to Jubao Huayuan.
Wu Fangting didn't drive, so she got into Yan Jien's car.
Yan Jien followed Wu Fangting's directions and arrived at Jubao Huayuan.
"Mr. Yan, how is this development?" Wu Fangting asked.
"Not bad, it's a new development," Yan Jien nodded.
"Yes, it was just delivered last year," Wu Fangting smiled.
As they chatted, they entered the elevator and arrived at room 2801 on the 8th floor.
Wu Fangting opened the door and invited Yan Jien inside.
Yan Jien entered the room and looked around, finding that the decoration was nice and the layout was good, but the area was a bit small.
"Mr. Yan, this house has three bedrooms, two living rooms, and one bathroom, with a construction area of 88 square meters and a usable area of 72 square meters."
"You see, this is the master bedroom, this is the second bedroom, this is the living room..." Wu Fangting introduced.
Yan Jien followed behind Wu Fangting and carefully toured the house.
"Miss Hu, this house is nice, but it's a bit small," Yan Jien said.
"Mr. Yan, this house is already quite spacious; it's more than enough for you living alone," Wu Fangting shook her head.
"It’s certainly enough for me alone, but I'm planning to get married; this house would only be a temporary solution," Yan Jien said.
"Oh, so Mr. Yan is planning to get married," Wu Fangting realized.
"Yes," Yan Jien nodded.
"Mr. Yan, you can wait a bit longer; I have other houses available," Wu Fangting said apologetically.
"It's fine, I'll take another look." Yan Jien waved his hand.
The two continued the tour, finishing with the living room and bedroom before Wu Fangting led Yan Jien to the attic.
"Mr. Yan, look, this attic is over thirty square meters, has a terrace, and even a yoga room," Wu Fangting introduced.
"This attic is nice," Yan Jien nodded.
He looked around and noticed that the space was good enough to keep a few dogs or set up an aquarium.
"Mr. Yan, are you satisfied with this house?" Wu Fangting asked.
"It's okay," Yan Jien nodded.
"Shall we sign the contract then?" Wu Fangting inquired.
"Sure," Yan Jien agreed with a nod.
Wu Fangting took out the property certificate, ID card, and other documents, handing them to Yan Jien.
Yan Jien checked everything and confirmed it was correct.
"Miss Hu, I currently only have less than four hundred thousand in funds; I will pay you the rest slowly," Yan Jien said.
"This..." Wu Fangting hesitated.
"Don't worry, I won't default," Yan Jien reassured her.
"I'm not worried about you defaulting; I'm concerned about being away from Nanquan..." Wu Fangting hesitated again.
"You won't be in Nanquan?" Yan Jien was surprised.
"Yes, I might have to go abroad," Wu Fangting nodded.
"Then you can find someone else," Yan Jien suggested.
"I don't trust anyone else," Wu Fangting shook her head.
"What should we do then?" Yan Jien frowned.
"Mr. Yan, do you have any friends looking to buy a house?" Wu Fangting asked.
"I..." Yan Jien hesitated.
He thought for a moment and realized he didn't have any friends looking to buy a house.
"Mr. Yan, if you can pay in full, I can give you a discount of several thousand," Wu Fangting said.
"A discount of several thousand?" Yan Jien was surprised.
"Yes, the lowest price is five hundred thousand," Wu Fangting confirmed with a nod.
"I'll think about it," Yan Jien hesitated.
He pondered for a while; he had over three million on hand, but that money couldn't be touched—if it were used, his mutation issue would be exposed.
Besides that three million, he had another card with over four hundred thousand from previous earnings.
"Alright, five hundred thousand it is," Yan Jien gritted his teeth.
"That's great! Thank you!" Wu Fangting was delighted.
After some discussion, they signed the contract, and Yan Jien completed the online signing and transferred the deposit to the designated account.
"Mr. Yan, thank you!" Wu Fangting expressed her gratitude.
"No need to thank me," Yan Jien smiled back.
They chatted for a bit more, exchanged contact information, and then went their separate ways.
Back home, Yan Jien felt a tinge of loneliness.
He lay on the sofa and habitually wanted to listen for sounds from Yan Weila's room but found he could hear nothing at all.
"Ah, habits are truly terrifying," Yan Jien said with a wry smile.
He shook his head, stood up, took off his clothes, and began to exercise.
His muscles had already taken shape; although not particularly strong, they were beautifully defined and very smooth.
"At this rate, in a few months, I should be able to get back to my previous level," Yan Jien said excitedly.
He used to practice Sanda; while he wasn't a master, he could handle three or five ordinary people without any problem.
"Now, I estimate I could take one down with just one punch," Yan Jien said proudly.
He glanced at the time; it was only a little past five, still early.
"How about running a lap at West Lake Park?" Yan Jien's eyes lit up.
He hadn't exercised last night and wanted to test his endurance and physical fitness today.
Additionally, he wanted to see if the mutated rat king was still around.
Having made up his mind, Yan Jien put on his sneakers and left home.
He rode his bicycle to West Lake Park.
It was evening, and there were quite a few people in the park, mostly elderly folks and children.
Yan Jien locked his bike, stretched a bit, and started jogging.
As he ran, he enjoyed the scenery and felt very comfortable.
"Huff huff huff!"
Yan Jien gasped for breath, drenched in sweat.
He had been running for half an hour, and his body had reached its limit; if he continued, he wouldn't be able to hold on any longer.
"I can't go on; I have to stop," Yan Jien gritted his teeth.
He slowed down and gradually came to a stop, sitting on a bench to rest.
After resting for a moment, he wiped off the sweat and continued running.
He ran for another hour until it was completely dark outside.
"That's enough," Yan Jien muttered.
