"Roar!"
The Mutated Rat King roared at Yan Jien, its eyes filled with ferocity.
"What is this beast going crazy about?" Yan Jien frowned.
He noticed that no matter how he attacked, the Mutated Rat King always protected the pit behind it, which puzzled him.
"Could there be something important in there?" Yan Jien wondered curiously.
"Whoosh!"
He leaped into the pit.
"Chirp chirp!"
Seeing this, the Mutated Rat King went completely mad, screeching as it lunged into the pit after him.
"Indeed, there is something inside!" Yan Jien exclaimed excitedly.
He focused his gaze and saw five cubs lying at the bottom of the pit.
These cubs had not yet opened their eyes, huddled together, trembling.
"So it's protecting its young," Yan Jien realized.
"Chirp chirp!"
The Mutated Rat King charged into the pit and attacked Yan Jien furiously.
"In that case, don't blame me for being ruthless!" Yan Jien snorted coldly.
He extended his arms, grabbed the Mutated Rat King, and swung it around.
"Die!" Yan Jien shouted.
He forcefully threw it down, but to his surprise, the Mutated Rat King flapped its wings and stabilized itself, nearly scratching his arm in the process.
"This beast is really clever!" Yan Jien was astonished.
Just as he was about to continue his attack, a light bulb went off in his head; he thought of an idea.
"Let's see how you block this time!" Yan Jien sneered.
He extended his right hand, curled his fingers, aimed his knuckles at the Mutated Rat King's eyes, and then suddenly jabbed forward.
"Chirp chirp!"
The attack on its eyes caused the Mutated Rat King immense pain; it screeched wildly, but to no avail.
"Bang bang bang!"
Yan Jien seized the opportunity and repeatedly jabbed at the Mutated Rat King's eyes until they were quickly blinded.
"Hiss hiss!"
After losing its sight, the Mutated Rat King let out a mournful scream and began to thrash around in an attempt to escape.
"It's time to end this!" Yan Jien snorted coldly.
He jumped out of the pit, picked up a brick from the ground, and smashed it down hard onto the Mutated Rat King's head.
"Bang!"
With a dull thud, the Mutated Rat King collapsed to the ground, twitching a few times before falling silent.
"Finally dead!" Yan Jien sighed in relief.
He dropped the brick and checked his body; although his wounds were deep, they hadn't damaged any bones and were healing rapidly.
"This body is incredible!" Yan Jien exclaimed in shock.
"Chirp chirp!"
At that moment, a sound came from below the pit.
"Huh? There's more?" Yan Jien was surprised.
He jumped down into the pit and discovered five cubs gnawing on the corpse of the mutated rat king. Although they had just been born and their teeth were not fully developed, they were still tearing into the mutated rat king's body, leaving it drenched in blood.
"Truly the offspring of the rat king, they're indeed vicious!" Yan Jien remarked.
"Chirp chirp!"
One of the cubs suddenly shrieked upon seeing Yan Jien.
"Oh no!" Yan Jien's expression changed dramatically.
He sensed that more presences were gathering around him, converging towards this spot.
"This creature is actually summoning its kind!" Yan Jien was astonished.
He dared not linger and quickly jumped out of the pit, running towards the outside.
"Chirp chirp!"
As soon as he exited the yard, Yan Jien heard a screeching sound behind him.
"What incredible speed!" Yan Jien was alarmed.
He turned to see a massive figure rapidly approaching from the darkness. This figure resembled the mutated rat king he had encountered earlier but was larger and faster.
"Damn it!" Yan Jien gritted his teeth.
He quickened his pace, trying to shake off his pursuer. Unfortunately, his arm had not yet healed, affecting his speed, and he couldn't escape the chase at all.
"What should I do? What should I do?" Yan Jien was anxious.
He looked around for an escape route, but everything was pitch black, making it hard to discern any direction.
"Bang!"
In his panic, Yan Jien tripped over a stone and fell to the ground.
"Roar!"
The mutated rat king behind him seized the opportunity and lunged at him, aiming for his shoulder.
"It's over!" Yan Jien felt despair wash over him.
In this life-and-death moment, his body underwent another miraculous transformation; his face elongated, his mouth protruded, and claws sprouted from his hands as he entered a semi-transformed state.
"Crack!"
The mutated rat king bit down on his shoulder with a crunching sound.
"This..."
Seeing this scene left Yan Jien utterly shocked. He never expected that his body could withstand the attack of the mutated rat king.
"Roar!"
He roared in anger and turned to pounce on the Mutant Rat King.
"Crack, crack!"
He opened his mouth and bit down on the Mutant Rat King's jaw, pulling with all his strength until it snapped off.
"Hiss!"
The Mutant Rat King screamed in agony, struggling wildly, but it was futile.
"Rip!"
Yan Jien seized the opportunity, using his claws to grab the flesh on the Mutant Rat King's neck and tore it away forcefully.
"Roar!"
The intense pain drove the Mutant Rat King into a frenzy as it thrashed its head, trying to shake Yan Jien off.
But Yan Jien held onto its wound tightly, refusing to let go no matter what.
"Rip, rip, rip!"
He continued to tear at the flesh on the Mutant Rat King's neck, shredding it into pieces.
"Hiss!"
Blood gushed out like a fountain, and the Mutant Rat King's struggles grew weaker until it finally collapsed on the ground, motionless.
"Pant, pant!"
Yan Jien gasped for breath as he stood up, looking at the corpse of the Mutant Rat King with a crazed expression in his eyes.
"Come on, I'll kill as many as you send!" he roared.
"Chirp, chirp!"
In the distance, the pursuing mutant rats heard the sound and rushed over.
However, when they saw the two corpses on the ground, they all stopped, fear evident in their eyes.
"Come on!" Yan Jien shouted.
He glared with blood-red eyes, his face twisted in a fierce expression.
"Chirp, chirp!"
The group of mutant rats exchanged glances before turning to flee from the scene.
