I was extremely reluctant, but in the end, my brother forcibly shoved me into the car. "Stop lying around at home all day. Get out and get some fresh air, or you'll just keep overthinking."
"I know," I replied.
When we arrived at the party venue, my brother was immediately surrounded by a group of executives. I stood in the corner, feeling bored as I watched the crowd.
At that moment, a girl walked over to me, looking anxious. "Excuse me, could you help me with the zipper at the back? I can't get it up."
"Sure," I nodded and walked over to assist her with the zipper.
As I pulled it halfway up, it suddenly got stuck and wouldn't budge.
The girl panicked. "What should I do? It won't zip up!"
"Don't worry, I'll fix it right away."
I pulled hard, and with a loud pop, the zipper broke open.
The girl's dress instantly tore apart, revealing her underwear underneath.
She let out a scream and quickly covered her chest.
I was startled and immediately apologized. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to."
"What happened?" A familiar voice rang out. I looked up to see Liang Lebang standing in front of me, staring at me in shock.
I stood frozen in place, staring blankly at him.
He wore a white suit, and a warm smile graced his handsome face.
Beside him stood a girl in a white dress, her long black hair cascading over her shoulders, and her fair skin glimmering enticingly under the lights.
The two of them looked like a perfect couple, strikingly matched.
I couldn't tell if it was just my imagination, but it seemed like the girl intentionally leaned closer to Liang Lebang.
Liang Lebang lowered his head to look at the girl, and they exchanged smiles.
I was consumed by jealousy, wishing I could step in and separate them.
I turned away, no longer wanting to watch them, thinking that I needed to find a guy to flirt with so Liang Lebang could also feel a twinge of jealousy.
I scanned the area and spotted a handsome guy not far away. I approached him with a drink in hand and greeted him with a smile, "Hi, are you here alone?"
The guy's eyes lit up when he saw me. "Yeah, are you?"
"Mm-hmm." I nodded and started chatting with him.
The guy's name was Chen Jing; he worked at a bank and was quite friendly and talkative.
However, while talking to him, I couldn't help but compare him to Liang Lebang.
No matter how I compared, I always felt that Liang Lebang was slightly better.
Liang Lebang was like a beauty mark on my heart, making it impossible for me to ignore his presence.
After chatting with Chen Jing for a while, my mood became even more depressed.
I found an excuse to slip away to the bathroom. Standing in front of the mirror, I looked at the face reflected back at me and murmured, "Wan Hui, you can't be so useless! It's just a man. Why let him occupy your thoughts? You need to be stronger and not let him affect your mood!"
I forced a smile at my reflection.
At that moment, the bathroom door was pushed open, and I instinctively turned to look, seeing Liang Lebang standing behind me.
He stared at me with deep eyes, stepping closer with each stride.
I instinctively backed away until my back pressed against the wall, and only then did I realize, "What... what do you want?"
"Who do you want to hit?" he squinted his eyes, his gaze sharp.
"Huh?" I was taken aback.
He reached out and grabbed my chin, leaning down to kiss me.
"Mmm..." I widened my eyes, looking at him in disbelief.
Doesn't he have a new girlfriend? Why is he kissing me?
I reached out to push him away, but he caught my wrist and pinned it above my head.
His kiss was forceful and passionate, as if he wanted to devour me entirely.
The faint scent on him filled my breath, intoxicating me and making it hard to escape.
I wanted to push him away, but my hands uncontrollably wrapped around his waist.
His palm was warm as he caressed my cheek and softly said, "Wan Hui, I miss you so much."
I looked up into his dark eyes, my heart racing.
Just as I was about to speak, a sudden knock on the door interrupted us: "Hello, is anyone there?"
"Hmm?" Liang Lebang raised an eyebrow at me, a glint of mischief in his eyes.
I looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he was trying to do.
Suddenly, he pressed my head back and kissed me again.
He kissed me forcefully, making my lips numb and almost causing me to cry out in pain.
The person outside continued knocking, but Liang Lebang showed no signs of stopping.
I signaled him with my eyes that there was someone outside!
He ignored my gaze and continued to kiss me.
I panicked and struggled hard, but he pulled me into his embrace, responding to the knocking with his kiss.
Dizzy from his kiss and feeling weak all over, I could only lean against him.
I don't know how long it lasted, but finally he released me, reached out to touch my face, and whispered, "Wan Hui, I really miss you."
I gasped for breath and looked up at him. "Don't you have a new girlfriend now?"
He smiled slyly. "Are you jealous?"
"I'm not," I retorted stubbornly.
He pinched my cheek and laughed. "If you're not, then you're not. Anyway, I have plenty of ways to make you admit it."
"What do you want to do?" I asked, watching him warily.
He chuckled but didn't say anything.
After coming out of the bathroom, I sneaked into the banquet hall and saw my brother chatting with someone, completely unaware of my presence.
So, I quietly slipped out.
Back home, I took a shower and lay on my bed, but no matter what, I couldn't fall asleep.
As soon as I closed my eyes, my mind was filled with thoughts of Liang Lebang.
