I stared for a long time before suddenly realizing. This is not Chen Shan; this is Cui Lidong. I took a deep breath to calm myself and said softly, "Did you want to talk about something today?" He paused for a moment and replied quietly, "Nothing much, just wanted to invite you out to chat." I nodded: "Yeah, I have something to say to you too." He smiled: "Then go ahead."
I smiled back and said softly, "Let’s break up." He froze, staring at me in shock. I smiled again and took out the basketball medal from my bag, handing it to him. He stared blankly at the medal without taking it. I pressed the medal into his hand and said softly, "This is what you gave me before; I'm returning it to you now." He looked down at the medal in his hand without saying a word. I said seriously, "Cui Lidong, thank you for being good to me before, but... I think it's best if we end our relationship here."
He looked up at me, his eyes red: "Is it because of what happened that day?"
I shook my head and said softly, "No, it's because I shouldn't have lied to you."
He was taken aback: "Lied to me?"
I nodded and said gently, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have lied to you."
He was stunned, staring blankly at me.
I smiled and said softly, "You need to take care of yourself from now on."
His eyes were red, and he didn't say anything.
I said seriously, "I'm leaving now, take good care of yourself."
After saying that, I stood up and turned to leave.
I had just taken a few steps when I suddenly heard someone shout, "Cui Lidong!"
I instinctively turned back and saw Liu Fengyi standing not far away.
She was wearing a floral dress, just like the girl in the photo.
I was momentarily stunned and turned to look at Cui Lidong.
He frowned, looking at Liu Fengyi.
Ma Yiming was standing next to Liu Fengyi, tugging at her arm and whispering, "Stop causing trouble and come home with me."
Liu Fengyi shook off his hand and stared at me and Cui Lidong.
Ma Yiming sighed and said softly, "Yihan, don't do this."
Liu Fengyi remained silent, just staring at me and Cui Lidong.
I said softly, "I'm leaving now."
After saying that, I turned to leave.
Ma Yiming suddenly called out, "Chen Qian!"
I looked back at him.
He hesitated for a moment and said softly, "You should go back first; something happened at Cui Lidong's house, and he needs to go back."
I nodded slightly and said, "Okay."
I turned and walked outside, while Ma Yiming, along with Cui Lidong and Liu Fengyi, went in another direction.
I stepped out of the gym and took a deep breath.
Everything was over.
When I returned to the dormitory and had just sat down, my phone suddenly vibrated.
I picked it up to see a message from Liu Fengyi: [Can we meet? I want to talk about something with you.]
I replied: [There's no need. Let's not meet again in the future.]
She quickly responded: [Did you break up with Cui Lidong?]
I replied: [Yes.]
She didn't reply again.
I put down my phone and sighed.
From now on, it was all over.
The next day, Liu Fengyi came to find me.
She was wearing a floral dress, standing under the teaching building, looking delicate and charming, with a faint air of pride about her.
I walked up to her and softly asked, "Did you need something?"
She smiled and said, "Can we talk?"
I hesitated for a moment before nodding, "Okay."
We went to a nearby café that was quiet and nearly empty.
We found a spot to sit down and each ordered a cup of coffee.
After taking a sip of her coffee, she quietly asked, "Do you still have feelings for Cui Lidong?"
I shook my head and replied, "We've already decided to break up."
She paused for a moment and looked at me.
