Xiaoyong looked at the beautiful scenery before him, feeling an immense joy.
"Lightning, look! It's so beautiful here!"
Lightning also excitedly called out, running and jumping around.
Suddenly, Xiaoyong heard a sorrowful song.
It was a yellow bird singing.
Its song was so sad that it brought tears to one's eyes.
Xiaoyong walked over and gently asked the yellow bird, "Why do you sing such a sad song?"
The yellow bird stopped singing and sighed, "My song is a sad one because I am telling a story."
"What story?" Xiaoyong asked curiously.
"This story is called 'The Huang Bamboo Song,' and it tells of a person who had to leave his hometown and family due to war to fight in distant lands. When he left home, there was a yellow bamboo growing in his yard, and he promised his family that when he returned, the bamboo would have bloomed and borne fruit. However, he was gone for a very long time and never came back; the bamboo withered away, and his family passed on."
Listening to this story, Xiaoyong felt a heaviness in his heart.
"This story is too sad," Xiaoyong sighed.
"Yes, that's why I sing such a sad song," the yellow bird also sighed.
"But we will surely find happiness," Xiaoyong said firmly.
"Really?" the yellow bird asked doubtfully.
"Really, because we always hold onto hope," Xiaoyong replied with a smile.
Xiaoyong bid farewell to the yellow bird and continued on with Lightning.
They finally arrived at Yaochi.
As Xiaoyong gazed at Yaochi, his eyes widened in amazement.
The water of Yaochi was so clear and so tranquil.
Countless lotus flowers bloomed on the water's surface, with sparkling dewdrops rolling on the lotus leaves. In the distance, there were continuous mountain ranges, lush with green trees and blooming flowers.
"This place is so beautiful!" Xiaoyong couldn't help but exclaim. He had been staying in Yaochi for several days, and these days were the happiest and most unforgettable of his life. He danced, sang, and played with Sister A-Yao. Every day in Yaochi, he watched rainbows dance, flowers bloom, and cranes soar through the sky. He enjoyed celestial fruits, drank sweet dew, and savored delicious dishes every day. He felt the warm sunlight, the gentle breeze, and the beautiful scenery surrounding him.
"If only I could stay here forever!" Xiaoyong lay on the grass, gazing at the stars in the sky, sighing wistfully.
"Yes, I wish you could stay here forever too," Sister A-Yao said with a smile as she sat beside Xiaoyong.
"But I know that's impossible," Xiaoyong sighed.
"You are from the human world; eventually, you will have to return to it," Sister A-Yao sighed as well.
As the sun set, the evening glow painted the sky red. Xiaoyong knew it was time for him to leave.
"Sister A-Yao, I'm leaving," Xiaoyong said, looking at Sister A-Yao with reluctance in his eyes.
"Xiaoyong, I know you have to leave," Sister A-Yao's eyes shimmered with tears. "But I hope we will always be good friends."
"We will always be good friends!" Xiaoyong nodded firmly.
Sister A-Yao took out a box and handed it to Xiaoyong. "This is a gift for you, as a memento."
Xiaoyong opened the box to find a shining gem that sparkled brightly.
"This is a luminous gem; it represents my feelings," Sister A-Yao said softly. "No matter how far apart we are, our hearts will always be connected."
"Sister A-Yao..." Xiaoyong looked at the gem in his hand, filled with gratitude.
"Your intentions, I accept them." Xiaoyong placed the gem close to his heart. "I will always remember you."
"No matter where you go, don't forget that in Yaochi, there is a friend who will always miss you." Sister A-Yao looked at Xiaoyong with deep affection.
"I will definitely not forget," Xiaoyong nodded solemnly.
Xiaoyong mounted Lightning and waved goodbye to Sister A-Yao, then waved in the direction of Yaochi.
"Goodbye, Sister A-Yao! Goodbye, Yaochi!" Xiaoyong shouted loudly.
"Goodbye, Xiaoyong!" Sister A-Yao's tears finally flowed down her cheeks.
Xiaoyong rode Lightning, galloping into the distance.
"Goodbye, Yaochi!" Xiaoyong turned back for one last look at Yaochi and silently thought, "But I know we will meet again!"
Xiaoyong opened his eyes in confusion, reflecting on the dream he just had, feeling a bit sad about not being able to see the beautiful scenery of Yaochi again.
