Facing Wang Xue's departure, Li Chen felt an overwhelming sense of regret. His heart ached as if it were being torn apart, and memories of their joyful times together flooded his mind. "I want to talk to you," Li Chen said more firmly, "about our past and about myself."
Wang Xue furrowed her brow slightly, signaling him to go on.
"I know I've disappointed you during this time," Li Chen said earnestly, "I was too focused on my career and neglected you and our relationship. I chased after success while forgetting that the most important thing in life is our feelings for each other."
Wang Xue's eyes flickered with emotion; she did not interrupt but listened quietly.
"I once thought that achievement was my only pursuit, but now I understand that genuine emotions are more precious than any accomplishment," Li Chen's voice began to choke up. "If I continue down this path, I will lose you and everything beautiful between us. I don’t want that; I want to change."
"You speak passionately, but..." Wang Xue finally replied, her voice low and slightly trembling, "Do you think I can still trust you? I'm really tired."
"I know I've made mistakes," Li Chen said urgently. "But I'm willing to put in the effort. I will prove my change through my actions. I don't want to disappoint you anymore." He paused, hope shining in his eyes. "Give me a chance to prove myself again."
At that moment, tears streamed down Wang Xue's cheeks as if moved by Li Chen's words. She felt a struggle within her but also a deep nostalgia for their beautiful past. Taking a deep breath, she finally nodded, indicating her willingness to give them both a chance.
"I hope you can do it," Wang Xue said softly yet firmly. "I need time and I need to see your efforts."
Li Chen felt warmth surge within him; he knew this was a new beginning. Their eyes met, and in that instant, it seemed all misunderstandings and pain vanished, replaced by rekindled trust and hope.
As they reconciled, Li Chen realized how pointless his investigation into Lu Zhou had been. He had once been curious about Lu Zhou's life and even felt some jealousy, but now he understood that what truly mattered was not others' lives but cherishing those around him. He decided to end the investigation and stop prying into others' lives, focusing instead on his own life and emotions.

He started capturing those ordinary yet moving details—the dappled shadows cast by sunlight on the street, the laughter of children playing in the park, even Wang Xue’s focused expression while cooking in the kitchen—each moment made him feel the reality and beauty of life.
One day, Li Chen took his camera and went with Wang Xue to a small art exhibition. As they walked through the gallery, Li Chen pointed at a piece on the wall and smiled: "This painting reminds me of our first date when you wore that blue dress; sunlight fell on you as if the whole world bloomed for you."
Wang Xue smiled back at him, warmth shining in her eyes: "I remember that day too; your smile made me feel incredibly safe."
Li Chen held her hand, feeling their heartbeats resonate with each other. They wandered through the exhibition sharing their interpretations of art as if everything had returned to its initial beauty. At that moment, Li Chen understood that every moment in life was worth cherishing and that true art comes from genuine emotions deep within one’s soul.

At one photography exhibition, Li Chen showcased his latest series titled "Reclaiming Reality." The audience was moved by the emotionally charged images displayed before them, many shedding tears of emotion. Standing at the center of the exhibition filled with pride and gratitude while Wang Xue smiled beside him cheering him on.
"This is my truest voice," Li Chen addressed the audience. "Each photo captures moments shared with Wang Xue; every instant reminds me that love and understanding are our most important pursuits in life."
When Li Chen's gaze met Wang Xue's again, he saw tears shimmering in her eyes—tears of emotion, happiness, and unwavering faith in their future together.
