Qian Mo had no idea how much turmoil he had stirred in the outside world. Well, he knew that the Ritual of Embalming Judgment and the Embalmer Alliance must be in an uproar. But the key issue was… he couldn’t get out! 0

For the past two days, Qian Mo seemed to suppress his panic, gradually completing this absurd trial game. But after all, he was just a 19-year-old young man. Alone in this perilous and unpredictable Primeval Wilderness, witnessing the senseless brutality of life and death, he was on the verge of losing his mind. 0

Fortunately, there was always a glimmer of hope. If a person in dire straits could find something to distract them, then they had a good chance of persevering! Of course, there was also the possibility of meeting a peaceful end… 0

Now, Qian Mo discovered a vast expanse that could divert his attention… a sprawling field of Soulgrass! 0

“To pick or not to pick, that is the question!” 0

Qian Mo sat cross-legged on the ground, gazing at the “grassland,” weighing the pros and cons in his mind. On one hand, common sense told him that treasures were often guarded by strange beasts, and given that he was in this bizarre place where he couldn’t discern reality from illusion, why take the risk? On the other hand, his luck-driven mindset urged him to take a chance; after all, fortune favored the bold. 0

“Damn it! Enough thinking; I’ll just have to try it out. First, I’ll prepare my Swift Movement Talisman and Vajra Talisman. If anything goes wrong, I’ll run for it. It’s not too far from here to the ‘line,’ and even if there are strange beasts around, they can’t possibly chase me all the way to the Loess Plateau!” 0

Having made up his mind, Qian Mo stood up. Just as he pulled out his Wolf Hair Embalming Brush and completed his preparations, a powerful aura suddenly emerged from the path he had descended. 0

Qian Mo quickly concealed himself; no matter who owned that aura, he wanted nothing to do with it! In this era, any hesitation could lead to death! 0

As he suppressed his own presence completely, the aura from below finally approached. A figure slowly came into view. 0

“What is that…” 0

Qian Mo felt a bit dazed. 0

The figure was as large as a pony, with four legs and claws that had five digits each. Its body shone like jade and radiated light. Its mouth and nose resembled those of a lion, with whiskers beneath its neck and a single horn on its forehead that glimmered with divine light. Smoke and clouds swirled around its body, supported by auspicious clouds. 0

“Wow! This is… Bai Ze? Uh… it’s just slightly smaller than what’s described in the Embalmer manual.” 0

The figure before him was indeed Bai Ze, strikingly similar to how Qian Xuan and others had observed Bai Ze in reality when they were watching Qian Mo—if not exactly the same! However, it appeared somewhat smaller than its real-world counterpart; it seemed that it hadn’t fully matured yet. 0

“Come out. You are aware of my talent for sensing the unknown as a member of the Bai Ze Clan; hiding is pointless. I have not concealed my presence on my way here; this is enough to show my sincerity. I am not here for battle.” 0

Bai Ze stood at a distance from Qian Mo’s hiding place and spoke in a deep voice. Unlike its clear tone in reality when it had become a Specter, this voice was sharper and somewhat juvenile. This caused Qian Mo not to recognize it immediately. 0
