Explanation of the Poem: 0
This poem was written by Tang Dynasty poet Pei Di, expressing his wishes and advice for his friend Cui Jiu as he returns to a life of seclusion in the mountains. 0
"Returning to the mountains, deep and shallow" describes Cui Jiu's imminent return to mountain life, with "deep and shallow" signifying both the depths and shallows of the mountains. 0
"One must fully appreciate the beauty of hills and valleys" advises Cui Jiu to thoroughly enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape, indicating that he should completely experience or savor it. 0
"Do not emulate the Wuling People" refers to those who accidentally enter the Peach Blossom Land and then leave, advising Cui Jiu not to merely have a fleeting experience of a secluded life like them. 0
"Wandering briefly in the Peach Blossom Land" refers to this idealized place depicted in ancient Chinese literature, symbolizing a perfect retreat; "briefly wandering" implies a temporary visit. 0

The entire poem conveys the poet's heartfelt wishes for his friend, hoping that he can truly experience and enjoy the beauty of a secluded life rather than just having a momentary visit like the Wuling People. The language in this poem is concise yet philosophical, making it one of Pei Di's notable works. 0

Story Title: Pei Xiaodi's Mountain Adventure 0

I live in a small village surrounded by mountains, where the scenery is beautiful and serene. My greatest dream since childhood has been to explore every mountain and uncover its secrets. 0

But I had never realized this dream. Until Cui Xiaojiu told me he was moving to live in the mountains. Cui Xiaojiu is my best friend, and how could I miss his housewarming celebration? I packed my bags and set off to find him in the mountains. 0

The journey was long and winding; I didn't know how long I had walked, but finally, I saw Cui Xiaojiu. His new home was hidden among the mountains, surrounded by lush greenery. When I opened the door, Cui Xiaojiu looked at me in surprise: "What brought you here?" 0

I smiled and patted his shoulder: "You moved into a new home, of course, I had to come to congratulate you." Looking around, I exclaimed, "Xiao Jiu, your house is beautiful, just like a fairy tale forest cottage." 0

Cui Xiaojiu felt a bit shy: "Don't say that; I think it's nice here, and I really like it." Yes, I liked it too. The air in the mountains was exceptionally fresh, filled with greenery and vibrant life all around. 0

Cui Xiaojiu and I strolled through the mountains, gazing at the majestic peaks in the distance, and my heart felt more open. I couldn't help but exclaim, "The mountains are truly beautiful; you must enjoy every moment here." Cui Xiaojiu nodded, his eyes sparkling in the forest. 0

I knew he loved this land as deeply as I did. We sat by the lake, watching the clear water reflect the blue sky. A few birds flew over the lake, occasionally skimming the surface and creating ripples. 0

"Xiao Jiu, do you know?" I began slowly, "When I was a child, my father once told me a story." "The story of Farewell to Cui Jiu." Cui Xiaojiu turned to look at me curiously as I continued. 0

"This story is about a man named Cui Jiu who was intelligent and eager to learn, enjoying travels everywhere." "One day, he arrived at a beautiful small mountain village and was amazed by the scenery there." 0

"He never expected there to be such a beautiful place in the world. He decided to settle here and fully appreciate the scenery." 0
"From then on, Cui Jiu lived here, searching for the most beautiful sights in the mountains every day, then recording and painting them." 0
"Later, he became a famous painter and poet in the area, documenting everything he saw and heard, allowing more people to see this beautiful little mountain village." 0
The story ended, and Cui Xiaojiu remained silent, his gaze deep and tranquil. 0
I knew he had understood the meaning of my story. 0
