Suddenly, the Blood Wolf across from him tensed its body and lunged forward like a sharp sword. Its raised claws and sharp teeth glinted ominously, exuding a fierce aura that struck fear into his heart.
Ren Pingsheng's pupils contracted; he hadn't expected the Blood Wolf to be so fast. He immediately activated the Phantom Moon Movement Technique, stepping sideways to become blurry. Four shadowy figures appeared around him, making it difficult to discern which was real.
The lunging wolf suddenly paused, disregarding the illusions as it landed and dashed forward, shattering several of the figures. Then it turned and alternated its claws toward Ren Pingsheng, determined to tear him apart.
Ren Pingsheng crossed his steel sword to block the Blood Wolf's claws and used this opportunity to retreat. His figure became blurry again as he flashed to the side of the Blood Wolf and thrust his sword forward. This strike was silent yet incredibly swift. The Blood Wolf reacted quickly, leaping lightly to evade the attack.
"What a pity; such a good opportunity was missed. Fierce Beasts are indeed much stronger; they have speed and power," Ren Pingsheng thought as he retreated after his failed strike, entering a standoff with the beast.
"It seems that coming out for this experience was indeed worthwhile. Only through continuous battles can I identify my shortcomings and keep improving. I can use this Blood Wolf to practice diligently, whether it's Sword Technique or Movement Technique."
With this thought in mind, Ren Pingsheng did not hesitate. He shook his steel sword and unleashed the Flying Spirit Sword Technique. A hazy Sword Light spread out and descended upon the Blood Wolf.
The Blood Wolf was naturally unwilling to back down; it retreated briefly before charging forward at an even faster speed, its foul mouth opening wide with sharp teeth ready to bite. Without looking back, he executed a Flying Spirit Slash with one hand, colliding with the Blood Wolf's claws. Ren Pingsheng's body felt weightless as he maneuvered; seizing the moment when the Blood Wolf hesitated, he unleashed Flying Spirit Flash directly at its neck.
However, where the steel sword passed did not yield the desired effect; it only left a shallow scratch with faint crimson blood seeping out.
"This Fierce Beast's body is indeed tough; my steel sword barely broke its skin. It seems that killing it will require considerable effort," Ren Pingsheng remarked with a hint of helplessness on his face.
The wound on its neck and the pain that followed enraged the Blood Wolf; its ferocious eyes seemed to glaze over with bloodlust. Its color appeared even more vibrant than before.
A more intense Killing Intent surged forth, and those with weak wills would likely be struck with fear in an instant. The speed of the approaching threat seemed to have increased by a third compared to before.

The chilling killing intent terrified the Blood Wolf, which desperately tried to retreat. But this strike was as swift as lightning; it felt a sharp pain in its neck before blood gushed out. It even saw its own body collapse to the ground, twitching twice before falling still.
This strike was the Intermediate Sword Technique 'Golden Edge Kill,' fast as lightning and full of lethal intent—impossible to evade. Realizing that other Sword Techniques could not inflict significant damage on the Blood Wolf, Ren Pingsheng did not hesitate to use this move. Looking at the dismembered Blood Wolf, Ren Pingsheng let out a sigh of relief. Without any hesitation, he quickly gathered the Blood Wolf's claws and teeth before leaving directly.
