I am the bodyguard of the Crown Prince in the Capital Circle. On a daily basis, the Crown Prince makes mistakes, yet he remains unscathed while I endure beatings. I finally lost my temper and stormed into his room to show him the injuries on my body. I hoped that after all these years together, he would tone down his antics a bit.
His expression darkened, and for once, he looked somewhat serious as he said in a hoarse voice, "If you become mine, I won't let you get beaten anymore."
I rolled my eyes and hurriedly left without even putting on my clothes. The mention of Qi Ye was a terrifying one. When I was by the old man's side, I had heard rumors about Qi Ye. He was involved with the SM group and had a reputation for being sadistic; the sounds of men screaming in agony often echoed from his room.
However, since Qi Ye took me from the old man, I had never seen him bring anyone back. Despite that, I still felt an innate fear of Qi Ye deep within me.
Qi Ye was a frightening person. He often engaged in reckless activities like street racing, skydiving, and fighting—nothing out of the ordinary as everyone has their hobbies. But he always watched with excitement when racers met with accidents; the more gruesome the scene, the more thrilled he appeared.
When I was punished for not keeping Qi Ye in check, he would gaze at the scars on my back with keen interest, his eyes swirling with suppressed emotions. Only now do I realize that it was desire—raw, unfiltered desire.
I ran nonstop to the building where the old man lived, terrified that if I hesitated even for a moment, that monstrous man would drag me back.
"Boss, I can't do this anymore; I want to resign." Upon hearing this, Qi Long sized me up before responding in a deep voice, "Have you made your decision?"
I nodded vigorously.
Damn it, I couldn't handle being targeted by someone like Qi Ye. Who knows when he might take a fancy to me and drug me to play with his toys? My life could very well be at stake. I came here to be a bodyguard, not to sell myself.
Now that I knew Qi Ye had taken an interest in me, if I didn't run now, when would I?
I couldn't confront the Qi Family head-on; they were a dominant force in the Capital Circle. Even if I were to be taken advantage of, I'd have to swallow my pride and keep quiet about it. But could I not avoid them?
There were plenty of attractive people in the Capital Circle; perhaps one day Qi Ye would find someone else interesting and forget about me, this insignificant bodyguard, sparing me from trouble.
Qi Long glanced at me and suddenly said, "When I was young, I had a bit of a conflict with his mother and didn't pay much attention to Ye, which led to both of us not noticing that Qi Ye was acting strangely. It wasn't until I reconciled with his mother that I realized Qi Ye's mental state was already quite abnormal."
I felt a bit confused; why was he telling me this? I'm here to resign, and what happened to Qi Ye in his childhood has nothing to do with me. But the next moment, I was startled by Qi Long's words. "For Ye, if he sets his sights on something, he either has to get it or he'll destroy it."
Those words sent chills down my spine, and I took a deep breath, trying to steady my wildly beating heart. Qi Ye only behaves this way towards things he desires, I reassured myself; he probably doesn't even have that level of interest in me yet.
Qi Long looked at me calmly and asked, "Do you still want to resign?" After thinking for a moment, I replied, "Yes." A glimmer of mockery flashed in Qi Long's eyes as he handed me the resignation contract and simply said, "Good luck." It felt like a call from hell, making me almost write my name incorrectly.
On the day I moved out, I lied to Qi Ye, saying there were family matters that required me to return home for a few days. Qi Ye showed no reaction at all; he didn't even come to see me off. He stood quietly by the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor, looking at me with an indifferent expression that revealed no emotions. Yet, I felt as if I were being targeted by a beast lurking in the jungle, sending chills down my back. I hurriedly jumped into the car and immediately told the driver to drive away.
After several twists and turns, I finally landed in Hai city. It's not a first or second-tier city, so I wouldn't run into any young masters or ladies I knew before. I admit that I'm hiding from Qi Ye, and the old man's words still inevitably frighten me.
I'm afraid that Qi Ye really has taken an interest in me, might send someone to drag me back, and then forcefully take what he wants. If he ultimately finds out that he can't have me, he might just dismember me and dispose of my body in the wilderness. On the first day, I didn't even dare to step outside.
On the second day, I wandered around the rented house but felt so paranoid that I almost got taken in by the police.
On the third day, while strolling around the neighborhood and checking for any surveillance, my courage gradually grew when I found no one watching.
I got to know a big brother over here in Hai city, and life became easy as I followed him to help with fish processing.
A month passed without any sign of Qi Ye. With the resources of the The Qi Family, it shouldn't take this long for them to find me.
I pondered for half a day and guessed that Qi Ye must have found a new target and had long forgotten about me.
However, today seemed a bit off. I remembered locking the door twice before leaving, but when I turned the knob, it opened.
I held my breath, took a step back, and immediately ran outside.
In the next moment, several tough men in black suits rushed out of the room and surrounded me.
My skills were decent, but ultimately, my fists couldn’t compete against four hands. I quickly fell into their grasp and was bound tightly before being taken to the man who had remained calm throughout.
Qi Ye had no apparent expression on his face, yet I felt he was angry. I lowered my head, unable to discern what he was thinking.
He sat on my family's worn-out sofa, holding a glass of wine. After casually swirling it a couple of times, he waved his hand to dismiss everyone standing in the room before slowly raising his eyes to look at me.
"Come here, kneel."
I obediently knelt before him, unsure of his current attitude.
He looked at me with a half-smile.
"Aren't you allergic to alcohol? You seem to be drinking quite happily with others."
My pupils constricted suddenly as I looked up sharply.
My alertness couldn't be this low; I should have noticed if someone was following me. However, these past few days, I truly hadn’t felt like anyone was watching me. Otherwise, I would have packed my things and left immediately.
Qi Ye patted my face and scoffed:
" The Qi Family has plenty of capable bodyguards. If I had instructed someone to shoot at you back then, you probably wouldn’t even know where the bullet came from."
After saying that, he brought the wine glass to my lips and commanded:
"Drink."
I dared not drink; I feared Qi Ye might have drugged it.
In truth, I didn’t particularly like alcohol. Perhaps it was because every time Qi Ye went to a bar to drink, trouble would follow, causing me to get hurt. That’s why I loathed alcohol so much that when Qi Ye asked me to drink, I lied and said I was allergic to it.
As for Big Brother inviting me for drinks, I had no choice but to comply. If it weren’t for him vouching for me, I might have been sent to the police station. He also helped me find a job despite my lack of education and background.
He treated me like a good brother and invited me for drinks; thus, I had to drink.
I remained silent, but Qi Ye wasn’t in a hurry. He withdrew his hand and placed his foot between my legs, pressing down lightly with the patterned red sole of his shoe.
I immediately clenched my teeth; sweat formed on my forehead due to Qi Ye’s actions. My body felt unbearably hot and wanted to release tension, but just as I reached that critical point, Qi Ye withdrew his foot and lazily opened a silver case.
Inside were all kinds of toys, making my scalp tingle.
I struggled to breathe, gasping as I spoke:
"What do you want?"
Qi Ye chuckled lightly, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.
His long, fair hand glided over the items one by one as he slowly began to speak:
"I gave you a month. During this time, if you had just called me or even sent a message, I wouldn't have left you in such a miserable state."
"Zhou Heng, considering you've been with me for almost four years, I'll give you another chance. You can either go back to being my bodyguard and obey me from now on, or you can die here today. Choose one."
He raised his gaze, his dark eyes locking onto mine. I turned my head away to avoid his stare and hesitated for a few seconds before speaking:
"What if I don't choose at all?"
With a click, a collar was taken out from the suitcase. Qi Ye leisurely unfastened the black collar, a smirk playing on his lips as he said:
"If you don't choose, I'll choose for you."
As I watched the collar come closer to my neck, panic set in, and I quickly said:
"I'll take the first option; I choose the first one."
Qi Ye sighed softly, seeming a bit disappointed but still carefully put the collar away and returned it to its place.
He picked up the glass of wine again, took a sip, and turned it toward me with a teasing look on his face as he watched my reluctant expression.
"Drink up."
Compared to being toyed with by Qi Ye in this dilapidated room, drinking his saliva was nothing unbearable.
I reassured myself and let Qi Ye feed me the wine.
"Good boy."
Qi Ye smiled genuinely this time; he leaned in and untied the ropes binding me, surprisingly gentle as he applied medicine to the wounds I had received from fighting those bodyguards.
"Zhou Heng, as long as you listen obediently, I won't let you get hurt."
Bullshit, I rolled my eyes silently in my heart; all the injuries on me were because of that bastard Qi Ye.
I returned to the The Qi Family once again.
Master Qi showed a knowing expression but rarely complimented me:
"You managed to run for a month; impressive."
I wasn't sure if he was praising me for hiding for a month or praising Qi Ye for being able to endure for a month before catching me.
But it didn't matter anymore; my heart was dead, and there was no hope for these days ahead.
I thought Qi Ye's insistence on obedience meant he wanted me to sleep with him, but my work remained unchanged. Still, I felt like someone was keeping an eye on me; it sent chills down my spine.
Until one day, when Qi Ye's elder brother was summoned back to the old residence due to an arranged marriage, I asked him during a break while smoking:
"Eldest Young Master, is your marriage with the daughter of the Qu Group because you love her?"
He chuckled lightly and shook his head:
"Not love; it doesn't matter to me. I have no one I like, and neither does she."
I pondered, "Well, can you find a marriage partner for the young master? He's twenty-five now, not a child anymore." I thought that although the Qi Family is a leading enterprise, they still have their pride. At least after marrying into another family, they would deal with those ambiguous relationships surrounding the young master.
I could no longer endure this precarious life. Every day I worried about what would happen if Qi Ye suddenly decided to act on his whims.
Qi Chuan paused, his hand holding the cigarette faltering as he looked behind me with barely concealed amusement. I stiffened and dared not turn around. Just as I was about to flee, someone grabbed my shoulder. A sinister voice whispered in my ear, "Go to my room, take off your top, kneel properly, and wait for me to return to deal with you."
With tears of despair, I had no choice but to comply. I dared not disobey Qi Ye; otherwise, the consequences would be even worse.
About thirty minutes later, I heard the sound of the door opening. Qi Ye entered with that familiar silver suitcase. I swallowed hard in fear and pleaded with him, "Young Master, I'm sorry. Please don't do these things to me. I'm begging you; I really don't like it."
I was genuinely terrified. The moment I saw Qi Ye take out that suitcase, I understood that the rumors were true.
The Qi Family's old residence has several buildings; each family member has one. Previously, I stayed with the old man who preferred peace and lived far from here. I had never heard any men's screams and was half in doubt about the rumors. But watching Qi Ye skillfully handle those items made me believe them.
I also knew that my words today had angered Qi Ye again; he wouldn't let me off easily like last time.
Ignoring my pleading gaze, Qi Ye coldly sat on the bed and lifted his eyelids slightly, speaking with irritation, "Choose one; otherwise, I'll choose for you."
I was terrified as I looked at the array of items before me and finally selected a candle that seemed less dangerous.
Qi Ye raised an eyebrow and smiled meaningfully while holding the candle between his fingers.
His smile gave me an uneasy feeling. Before I could ask if I could choose something else, he had already taken out a lighter and lit the candle, commanding me, "Kneel between my legs."
I felt humiliated.
But I had no capital to resist; I already knew better. Pressing my lips tightly together, I silently moved my knees until I was kneeling in front of Qi Ye.
He tilted the candle; the wax was low-temperature and not too hot, but when it dripped onto my wound from yesterday, it made me shudder uncontrollably.
It seemed like Qi Ye did it on purpose, dripping wax onto my wounds and sensitive areas.
I bit my lip to suppress any sounds. Qi Ye appeared dissatisfied with my reaction; he hooked his foot around my belt and said in a deep voice, "Take off your pants."
Suddenly, I clenched my fists tightly and for the first time did not immediately obey Qi Ye's command.
Qi Ye clicked his tongue in displeasure: "What? Are my words ineffective? Take off your pants—now—immediately."
A surge of anger rushed to my head; my eyes turned red with fury as I defiantly replied, "I'm not taking them off."
In the next moment, someone grabbed my hair; Qi Ye's expression darkened: "You dare to resist me? After doing something wrong, you still dare to shout at me? Have I been too lenient with you lately that you've forgotten your place?"
All the fear and insecurity from these days transformed into a blaze of anger as I shouted at him with heaving breaths:
"Indulge me? What right do you have to say that? All the injuries on me are because of you. You never listen to my advice, you act recklessly, causing trouble and getting me punished, beaten until I'm bruised and battered. This is what you call indulging me? I said I don't like playing with these toys, I don't want them, but you never listen."
I shook off Qi Ye's hand that was gripping mine, my eyes blazing with fury. "I've had enough of this, Qi. If you have the guts, just kill me. I don't want to play with these twisted toys anymore; you disgust me."
I straightened up, looking down at Qi Ye who sat on the bed with a dark expression, feeling a sense of relief for the first time. If I'm going to die, then let it be with dignity. I've had enough of this ridiculous game with Qi Ye; whoever wants to play can do so.
Just as I was about to leave, my wrist was suddenly yanked back. In the next moment, I was forcefully thrown onto the bed, with Qi Ye straddling me and gripping my neck with one hand.
"Zhou Heng," he said, "you think I'm disgusting? How dare you say that? Where do you get the courage?"
His grip tightened relentlessly; I had no doubt he wanted to choke me to death. But just as I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness, he released his hold.
He smirked mockingly, rubbing my lips as his tone shifted to a gentler one. "Zhou Heng, if you find me disgusting, then I'll make you just like me—dirty and disgusting. That way, you'll never be able to say that again."
A chill ran down my spine; there was a crazed look in Qi Ye's eyes—this time he was serious.
I cursed at him fiercely. "Qi Ye, if you dare to sleep with me, I will make sure you pay for it."
My threat had no effect; Qi Ye's lips came down firmly on mine.
Qi Ye was strong; his grip was like a vice, and I couldn't break free. He pried open my tightly clenched jaw and thrust his tongue in, making it hard for me to breathe.
I bit down hard on his invading tongue. Qi Ye suddenly pulled back, looking at me only to see the disgust clearly written on my face.
He froze for a moment before shoving me away and shouting angrily, "Get out."
I quickly rolled away and scrambled out the door. Just as I opened it, I caught a glimpse of Qi Ye sweeping all his little toys onto the floor, smashing them into pieces.
I knew how much he valued those things; I had seen him carefully store them in a safe with three locks when he returned that day. But now he had destroyed them all in a fit of rage. Once he calmed down, I would likely be the next thing he dealt with.
But I didn't want to run anymore; it seemed pointless. No matter where I went, I'd be caught and live in fear. I felt like a rat hiding in a gutter while Qi Ye was the leisurely cat enjoying my anxiety and fear—waiting until I thought I was safe before delivering a fatal blow.
Fortunately, I'm an orphan; there's nothing in this world worth worrying about for me.
In a hundred years' time, we'll all be dust anyway. What's a few decades earlier? Perhaps heaven will take pity on me and let me be reborn as Qi Ye's son; then I'll make sure to torment him endlessly.
