"Ah—" Yong Nan let out a piercing scream.
My action instantly drew the attention of other patrons in the café.
Yong Nan was a mess, her hair and makeup completely ruined by the fruit tea.
She trembled with anger, pointing at me and stammering, "Shangguan Yunduo, you—how dare you splash me!"
I raised an eyebrow. "What do I have to be afraid of?"
With that, I raised my hand and gave her a sharp slap.
Smack—
I put all my strength into that slap.
Five clear fingerprints immediately appeared on Yong Nan's face.
She covered her face, looking at me in disbelief.
I leisurely took out a tissue, wiped my hands clean, and said, "This slap is for Xiao Cheng."
"Yong Nan, remember this: Xiao Cheng is my husband, not someone you can casually covet."
Yong Nan's expression gradually turned vicious.
Through gritted teeth, she spat, "Shangguan Yunduo, don't get too arrogant! Do you think you can be proud for long? Xiao Cheng doesn't love you at all!"
I calmly said, "Is that so?"
"Of course." Yong Nan suddenly laughed again, "If he really loves you, how could he take me to the banquet? How could he dance with me?"
"Shangguan Yunduo, I came back to the country this time for Xiao Cheng."
"Oh?" I raised an eyebrow slightly, "Then do you want to make a bet with me?"
"What kind of bet?"
"Let's bet on Xiao Cheng's heart." I smiled, "If Xiao Cheng has feelings for you, then I willingly concede and will no longer pursue him."
Yong Nan's eyes lit up: "Are you serious?"
"Of course." I smiled faintly, "But if you lose..."
"I won't lose!" Yong Nan declared firmly.
"Don't speak too confidently." I smirked, "If you lose, I want you to disappear from our sight immediately."
Yong Nan stared at me intensely, her gaze sharp.
I let her stare without backing down.
After a long while, she finally spoke: "Alright, it's a deal."

I returned home.
I sat at my desk and opened my diary.
After writing a bit, I noticed footsteps coming from outside the door.
I quickly shoved the diary into the drawer.
Xiao Cheng pushed the door open and came in.
He looked at me, his eyes flickering slightly: "Duo'er, you're back."
I nodded, looking at him without saying a word.
Xiao Cheng walked over, sat down beside me, and reached out to ruffle my hair: "What's wrong? Feeling down?"
I shook my head and forced a smile: "No, just a bit tired."
Xiao Cheng hummed in response and didn't say anything more.
...
In recent days, Xiao Cheng had been coming home earlier.
That night, I finished my shower and sat on the bed reading a book.
Xiao Cheng suddenly leaned over and wrapped his arms around me.
I rested against his strong, broad chest, feeling his body heat as he held me while we read a melodramatic romance novel together.
When I saw the male lead help the female supporting character, and she slapped the female lead, Xiao Cheng's hand around my waist unconsciously tightened.
I pretended not to notice his unusual reaction and casually turned to the next page to continue reading.
Finally, I reached the last page of the novel.
I sighed in relief, closed the book, and placed it on the nightstand.
I looked up and found Xiao Cheng staring at me.
I felt a bit uneasy under his gaze and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"
Xiao Cheng didn't say anything; instead, he lowered his head and gently kissed my lips.
The kiss was soft and lingering, like a feather brushing against my lips, making my heart race.
