Cheng Mo sat gracefully in Shangguan Yiting's room. Shangguan Yiting reached out to open the window, and the gentle breeze scattered her thoughts, with scattered flower petals mingling with the scent of dust, falling onto the pure white carpet. 0

"Sister, just say what you want to say," she said, her eyes exceptionally bright. The petals reflected in her gaze added vibrant colors to her water-colored eyes. Shangguan Yiting turned to look at her and felt that Cheng Mo's clear gaze seemed to understand everything, just waiting for her to speak. 0

"Mo Su, your health is too weak. If you truly cannot get pregnant, I hope our Shangguan Family can still have an heir." Shangguan Yiting knew her thoughts were selfish, but she had to consider the entire family. 0

Cheng Mo smiled lightly, her lips calm, but her gaze did not meet hers; instead, it focused on an unclear point far away. "Sister, are you thinking of marrying Miss Xia?" 0

Shangguan Yiting paused for a moment before finally saying, "Yes..." Seeing Cheng Mo's unchanged expression, she hurriedly added, "But don't worry, Miss Xia can only be a concubine. Your position in my and my brother's hearts will not change at all." 0

She paused again, looking at Shangguan Yiting. The fallen flowers carried by the breeze landed on Shangguan Yiting's fair shoulders, softening her smile and making it less bright than before. Shangguan Yiting felt flustered under her gaze and avoided eye contact. "I'm sorry, Mo Su. You've sacrificed so much for him and done so much for our Shangguan Family. In the end, I have to find him a concubine." 0

"Sister, I understand what you mean." She held Shangguan Yiting's hand, knowing that since her return, Shangguan Yiting had genuinely opened her heart to her; she probably felt particularly guilty at this moment. But... how should she choose? 0

"Sister, please allow me some time to think." She stepped out of the room. Shangguan Yiting watched her thin figure leave, and the pain in her heart grew stronger. 0

Cheng Mo had only taken a few steps when she became flustered. Shangguan Shaoyi appeared in front of her without her noticing. Before she could react, he reached out and embraced her, carrying her back to their room. 0

"Mo Su." He adjusted her body and held her chin firmly, forcing her to look up at him. Her fair cheeks bore eyes like a thin layer of ice, with dark eyelashes fluttering as they avoided his inquiry. He sighed and said, "Mo Su, don’t think too much. I won’t have any entanglements with other women." 0

She smiled quietly, like pure moonlight reflecting off her skin that appeared even whiter than snow. 0

Suddenly, light footsteps approached; Shangguan Yiting frowned slightly with a hint of helplessness as she opened the door. 0

Shangguan Yiting held a silk fan and wore a red Qipao, accentuating her graceful figure. She smiled slightly, her eyes dark, "Lin, I haven't asked you yet. How have you been busy these days, and when do you plan to retake Feng Province?" 0

"We've had military meetings for several days, and the deployment is nearly complete. We will go to war in the next couple of days." His gaze slid over to Cheng Mo Su, gentle and evident, "While I'm away, sister, please take good care of Mo Su. She likes peace and quiet, so don't invite those friends over." 0

"What are you talking about? Stop pretending to be confused." Shangguan Yiting's eyes glinted sharply as she glanced at Shangguan Shaoyi. "The Shangguan Family cannot die out. I've already discussed it with Mo Su; she is the lady of our Shangguan Family, a position that cannot be shaken. However, a concubine must still be married." 0

Shangguan Shaoyi was taken aback, feeling a surge of anger as his dark eyes turned to Cheng Mo Su. 0

"Isn't that right, Mo Su? Do you agree to marry a concubine? You should at least say something." Shangguan Yiting's gaze was bright, her tone urgent. Cheng Mo Su didn't want to stir up trouble but felt chaotic inside. She forced a smile but remained noncommittal. 0

Shangguan Yiting waved her silk fan and laughed, "Alright then, you two take your time to think about it. You're going off to war in a few days; I'll leave the space for you." She paused, "But you must promise me that after this battle, you'll give me a clear answer." 0

Watching her descend the stairs, Cheng Mo Su's eyes fell again, silent. Shangguan Shaoyi wrapped his arms around her; her faint fragrance was particularly elegant and pure, providing him with the best relief from his fatigue over the past few days. Cheng Mo Su pressed tightly against his heart, her eyelashes fluttering slowly as she felt Shangguan Shaoyi's voice become ethereal, "Mo Su, after this farewell, I wonder if we will meet again." 0

He didn't mention his sister's suggestion; his pleasant voice still rushed into her heart as usual. She looked up at him; his handsome face showed slight weariness but remained as strikingly cold and handsome as ever. A faint smile appeared on her lips as she avoided mentioning those bothersome matters. "You will definitely succeed this time; you've prepared so thoroughly." 0

He ruffled her hair gently and said warmly, "You always have so much confidence in me." 0

"Yes." She replied softly, "Because Shaoyi, you always create miracles and have never broken your word." 0

Shangguan Shaoyi's handsome face stiffened slightly, his gaze intense. "So you must believe in me; my sister truly cares for you now. After some time, she will compromise and won't let me marry any concubine." 0

"Yes." Cheng Mo Su nodded with a gentle smile. "I understand. So just focus on the war; leave these matters to me. If you want to marry a concubine, I won't stop you. But if you only want to grow old together with me, then I'll play the villain and not allow any other women through the door." 0

Shangguan Shaoyi was a bit surprised by Cheng Mo's resolute attitude, yet he felt her unwavering heart towards him, and couldn't help but smile. 0

Cheng Mo smiled gently, but suddenly felt drowsy, yawning repeatedly. 0

Shangguan Shaoyi supported her petite head; her snow-white skin was as flawless as jade, with delicate brows forming a graceful arc. Beneath her Water-colored eyes, her eyelids were slightly darkened, and her Eyelashes fluttered, hiding her fatigue. He felt a pang in his heart and held her tightly in his arms. "Why aren't you resting properly?" 0

She lowered her Eyes, no longer speaking. He picked her up and placed her on the soft bed, gazing longingly at her gentle yet stubborn lip line. He gently pressed a kiss on her lips, filled with longing and tenderness. 0

He ruffled her hair and spoke softly, "I'll watch over you; go to sleep." 0

"Don't," she instinctively murmured. "In a few days, I won't be able to see you again. How can I…" 0

He chuckled, covering her eyes with his large hand. "Silly girl, I'm not going anywhere. Once Feng Province is reclaimed, I'll be with you every day." His voice carried a warmth that slowly eased the tension in her heart from the past few days. She obediently nodded, her Water-colored Eyes shimmering with evident softness, and a faint smile appeared at the corners of her lips. He covered her with a blanket, pulled the thin curtains closed, and sat beside her quietly, watching her slightly closed Water Eyes. 0

No matter what decisions were made, as long as their hearts were together, it was enough to be by his side. Cheng Mo thought to herself as her eyes moved slightly; his pitch-black gaze remained fixed on her. She smiled serenely and closed her eyes peacefully. 0
