As I said this, I smiled and remarked, "I believe you know what will happen."
Cold sweat broke out on Zou Tianyi's forehead.
"Rest assured, my lord!" Zou Tianyi hurriedly said, "I will definitely serve you loyally!"
"Alright," I replied with a smile, "You may go."
Zou Tianyi and Yuan Bufei left, leaving only me and Scarred Eye in the room.
"My lord," Scarred Eye looked at me with a flattering smile on his face.
"My lord, what you just mentioned... about having me befriend important figures from Quanyi Hall..." Scarred Eye smiled and asked, "Could you clarify that a bit more?"
Zou Tianyi swaggered back to Wuyi Alley with three people.
This was a branch of Xia Yin, managed by Zhao Sitong, and it had quite a reputation in the Wuyi Alley area.
When Zou Tianyi entered with his companions, Zhao Sitong was engaged in an animated conversation with a customer, seemingly close to sealing a big deal.
"Hey! Mr. Zhao!" Zou Tianyi laughed heartily as he walked over.
Upon seeing Zou Tianyi, Zhao Sitong was momentarily taken aback before quickly standing up.
"Mr. Zou!" Zhao Sitong said with a beaming smile, "How come you have time to come over? What about Mr. Lin..."
"Mr. Lin asked me to convey a message," Zou Tianyi replied with a smile.
"Oh?" Zhao Sitong continued to smile, "What did Mr. Lin say?"
"Mr. Lin said," Zou Tianyi's smile faded, "that you are smuggling, evading taxes, and colluding with the Yingzhou People. The evidence is conclusive, and you are under arrest."
"What?" Zhao Sitong was taken aback, then quickly laughed, "Mr. Zou, you must be joking..."
"I am quite serious," Zou Tianyi said, his smile gone.
"Mr. Zou," Zhao Sitong chuckled as he pulled out a banknote from his sleeve, "a small token of appreciation, please accept it."
"Mr. Zhao," Zou Tianyi did not take the banknote, "the Secret Intelligence Bureau already knows about your collusion with the Yingzhou People. You cannot escape."
"What?" Zhao Sitong froze for a moment, his hand suspended in mid-air.
"Arrest him!" Yuan Bufei said coldly, and two guards rushed forward to grab Zhao Sitong's arms.
"Mr. Zou!" Zhao Sitong panicked, "Mr. Zou! You can't do this! I have been loyal to Mr. Lin! Mr. Zou..."
"Sigh," Zou Tianyi sighed, "Mr. Zhao, the evidence of your collusion with the Yingzhou People is already on the desk of the Secret Intelligence Bureau. You should accept your fate."
"What?" Zhao Sitong was stunned. "How... how is this possible?"
"Take him away!" Yuan Bufei said.
Two guards grabbed Zhao Sitong and dragged him outside. It was only then that Zhao Sitong reacted.
"Mr. Zou!" Zhao Sitong cried out in despair. "Mr. Zou! I was wrong! Please let me go! I am willing to serve you like a loyal dog! Mr. Zou!"
"Wait a moment!" Zou Tianyi shouted.
The two operatives stopped, and Zhao Sitong seemed to see a glimmer of hope as he looked at Zou Tianyi with pleading eyes.
"Zhao Sitong," Zou Tianyi said calmly, "are you really willing to serve me like a loyal dog?"
"Yes! Yes!" Zhao Sitong hurriedly replied.
"Good," Zou Tianyi smiled. "I now represent Daxia Market, and I will take over the Xia Yin Wuyi Alley branch. Zhao Sitong, I order you to assist me in making both businesses thrive!"
"Yes!" Zhao Sitong quickly responded.
"Chen Dongjia!" Zou Tianyi turned to the merchant who had been talking with Zhao Sitong earlier. "You heard everything I just said, right, Chen Dongjia?"
