Suddenly, a person vanished without a trace like a ghost! Li Rui felt very displeased; it seemed that he had little connection with them, and he was also confused about where this Murong Family came from. That aside, their tone seemed to suggest they were watching Li Rui closely!

Upon seeing it, Li Rui's brows furrowed slightly; this item seemed familiar, but he couldn't recall where he had seen it before.

In the blink of an eye, a week had passed. Li Rui had been living in turmoil, feeling as though someone was following him wherever he went.
It was now nighttime, and he had no idea where he could find a place to rest. Ahead, there seemed to be an inn, but it didn't look legitimate!
There was a pool of blood in front of the door, lanterns hung from the beams but were unlit, while lights inside were on, accompanied by the occasional sound of blades being sharpened.
Li Rui concluded that this must be a black shop! He thought to himself that he couldn't be this unlucky! To end up staying in a black shop when there were no other establishments within miles seemed like this place existed solely for that purpose.
Gathering his courage, he approached the inn's door and knocked loudly.
"Is anyone there? I'm here to stay," Li Rui said.
"Who is it? Why aren't you going home at this hour? Staying at an inn? Young Hero, I advise you to leave; this is not a safe place."
Li Rui smiled; it was his first time encountering such a business. Looking at the inn with no guests and a pool of blood in front, it was truly absurd.
"I ask the innkeeper, you are the only inn for miles around. I hope you can..."
Before he could finish, with a 'creak,' the door opened right in front of Li Rui! Yet, there was no one to be seen.
"The first room is free of charge, as long as you can survive tonight's calamity. That will be your payment! Don't ask questions I won't answer!"
The voice seemed to come from nowhere, causing Li Rui to furrow his brows again. It seemed like there was a trick in the surroundings! Moreover, judging by the innkeeper's tone, it appeared that something significant would happen tonight. Perhaps...
Li Rui didn't hesitate; he steadied himself and lightly walked up the stairs. Looking up, the large characters of 'First Room' were particularly eye-catching. Li Rui didn't say much and pushed open the door to sit down on a chair.
