Li Rui was contemplating whether to ask something when he was suddenly grabbed by Mo Ruxi on the arm.
The two exchanged a smile and sent Ding Xi away.
"I don't think this is the right time; let's just wait! Should we wait until we return from the Defalia Region?"
Li Rui nodded, shaking his head with a wry smile, unsure of what he was really thinking. A sense of Eerie feeling spread from his heart.
However, Li Rui and the others were living very peacefully, as if nothing had happened before. They were just preparing to refine pills in this quiet state, ready for any upcoming changes.
In the blink of an eye, the day to enter the Defalia Region had arrived. There were no rules upon entering; it was purely survival of the fittest. Moreover, those above the Core Formation Stage simply could not enter.
But Mo Ruxi was quite frustrated for a while.
"Don't be mad at me; it's just like this. Can't you just wait for me outside? I just wanted to take a look inside."
Mo Ruxi felt helpless! There was nothing she could do.
Within the Defalia Region, perhaps there were a few strong individuals wanting to enter, but they were repelled by some inexplicable force, which was incredibly domineering.
The consequences ranged from serious injuries to death, enough to shock everyone present.
For some unknown reason, this place seemed like a strange location; it was usually very quiet. Whenever this time came, anomalies would occur, and the environment within would change in various ways.
"Isn't that Li Rui? What a coincidence!"
"Who are you..." Li Rui found himself unfamiliar with the person before him. However, he sensed something different in his eyes; perhaps the newcomer meant trouble!
"Just remember that I'm from the Royal Family. You'll see what I mean when we go in."
Li Rui awkwardly smiled, ready to engage at any moment. After all, he was only at the peak of the Core Formation Stage; he wasn't sure if he could handle himself against whoever this was. He truly couldn't understand who gave him such courage.
As they spoke, they had already entered the Defalia Region. Many people stood outside, all appearing very low-key, yet among them were many powerful individuals. However, Li Rui felt quite frustrated!
When Li Rui first set foot in the land of Defalia, a sense of killing intent enveloped him, and it was directed right at him.
"Listen up, everyone! The new clan leader has issued a command: if anyone can kill this Li Rui, they will receive our family's inheritance!"
Just the mention of "inheritance" made many people's eyes light up. Although the Royal Family's inheritance wasn't that impressive, having a family inheritance was infinitely better than any martial arts technique.
"Alright, we understand. Right now it's still daytime, so we shouldn't act too hastily. And remember to gather more people when we do; this guy is not someone to be taken lightly!"
Everyone understood that anyone capable of severely injuring someone from the Divine Transformation Realm was not an easy opponent.
At this moment, Li Rui felt a slight sense of vigilance in his heart, unaware of how many people were targeting him. Looking around, he could see the murderous intent in their eyes—it was anything but ordinary.
Li Rui smiled wryly and shook his head, not wanting to bother with this group of so-called rookies. In the entire Defalia, there probably wasn't a single person who could take him down.
As time passed and it grew later, sounds of "whoosh whoosh whoosh" echoed around him, which Li Rui took as an ominous sign.
"It seems some people can't sit still anymore and want to strike early. We'll have to see if they have the strength for it," Li Rui murmured, his fists clenched tightly.
As he walked on, the air suddenly fell silent; not even a whisper of wind could be heard. It seemed someone had set up some kind of barrier ahead.
Li Rui considered how to get through but found no way around it. It looked like he had no choice but to move straight ahead!
He deliberately slowed his pace, using his keen eyesight to observe everything around him. His heart raced as he sensed at least ten Golden Core Realm individuals hiding in the shadows.
They thought they could evade Li Rui's notice in this situation; it seemed they had underestimated his strength.
Neither side made any moves. If Li Rui was feeling tense at that moment, the group of Golden Core Realm individuals was even more anxious, sweating profusely yet unable to make a move. They didn't know what to think.
Little did they know that in an instant, as if signaled, three flying darts were suddenly thrown out with a "whoosh," landing on the ground with a clattering sound.
In the blink of an eye! The cry of "kill" erupted. Li Rui had anticipated such a situation; with a casual motion, he lifted the Water Fire Staff from his back and executed the technique "Two Steps into Void with Golden Rooster Stands." The ten or so people present were completely immobilized by this display!
They were immediately stunned; such an attack should at least inflict some damage on someone from the Realms of the True Person! Yet before Li Rui, they appeared utterly powerless—even though they remembered that this guy only possessed Cleansing Realm strength!
Li Rui found himself in a completely passive situation. Dealing with a dozen or so people at the Core Formation stage was simply absurd. While he could withstand some of the damage, he knew that his current circumstances were extremely disadvantageous.
"I have remembered all of you. I hope you can survive until tomorrow morning," Li Rui said repeatedly.
With a wave of his hand, he cast an illusion technique, seemingly attracting a lot of attention. Some even wavered in their intention to kill Li Rui.
Seizing this opportunity, he suddenly fled! A confident smile appeared on his lips, as if he was brewing something, or perhaps now! The roles of hunter and prey were about to be reversed.
The dozen or so people at the Core Formation stage saw Li Rui escape, and they felt a kind of frustration that they didn't know how to express. Moreover, they had no idea what was happening.
What they did not realize was that Li Rui was not fleeing; he was searching for his prey! If the enemy wanted him dead, why couldn't he put them to death instead?
"Alright, split up and chase. If you find any clues, signal immediately."
Li Rui clearly saw the person who made this statement; it was the one who had provocatively challenged him earlier. He hadn't expected that this guy would set up such a good show for him. It seemed that this fellow was now in for some fun.
