Yuan Chun suddenly pounced into Lu Feng's arms, crying, "Uncle Lu, please help us plead with Bai Xianzi not to kill us."
Qin Keqing's target was Hua Man Lou; she had long recognized that Hua Man Lou was a gentle and kind gentleman. Bai Tang was closer to Hua Man Lou than to Lu Feng.
"Playboy, can you say something nice for us? We never intended to oppose Divine Attendant and Bai Xianzi. The reason we contacted him is that he is a friend of my sister. Since I returned to this world, I naturally had to inform him. We didn't expect Divine Attendant to suddenly provoke Bai Xianzi."
Lu Feng and Hua Man Lou exchanged glances and both stepped back, with Lu Feng even pushing Yuan Chun away from his embrace. The four women were scheming against their friend; how could they possibly plead for them?
Bai Tang scoffed lightly, "Killing you would only dirty my hands!"
Yuan Chun was overjoyed, "I knew the fairy was merciful! Thank you, fairy! Thank you!"
Bai Tang chuckled softly, "I'm not a merciful person. Do you think I would let you leave easily after plotting against me and leave myself with hidden dangers?"
Yuan Chun was horrified, "What are you going to do?"
Bai Tang replied, "You want to become an immortal? I won't let you ascend."
"No! You can't do this!" Yuan Chun screamed desperately, but it was of no use. The four women along with Divine Attendant were enveloped by a black light, and when the light vanished, the five of them disappeared.
"What did you do to them?" Lu Feng asked curiously.
"They wanted to become immortals so badly that I stripped them of their immortal roots and cast them into reincarnation," Bai Tang said with a chilling smile. "Isn't Divine Attendant fond of descending to experience tribulations? I've fulfilled his wish!"
Lu Feng shivered and shook off the coldness rising from his heart. "Is this the immortal realm?"
Bai Tang shook her head. "The immortal realm is above us; this should be some remote corner of the Western Sea."
Lu Feng asked curiously, "How do you know?"
Bai Tang did not answer but said, "Let's go help that dragon."
"Do you know that dragon?" Hua Man Lou asked.
"I know her, but she doesn't know me," Bai Tang replied.
"Who exactly is she?" Lu Feng inquired.
"She is the Third Princess of the West Sea Dragon Palace, Aocunxin, and the ex-wife of the Judicial Deity, Yang Jian."
"Ex-wife?" The two were surprised.
Bai Tang nodded. "Although in this world Yang Jian is a very heroic and respected deity, he is indeed quite irresponsible when it comes to marriage."
"What do you know? Share it with us!" Lu Feng asked eagerly. This was gossip about deities, and one of the parties involved was the famous Erlang Shen. He couldn't wait to go back and show off to Ximen and Sikong after hearing it.
"This goes back to Erlang Shen splitting the mountain to save his mother."
"Wasn't it Agarwood who split the mountain to save his mother?" Hua Man Lou asked.
"It's a family trait; women descend to the mortal realm to have children with mortals, and when the children grow up, they save their Mother." Bai Tang scoffed. She always thought that the Three Holy Mothers were a bit off in their thinking when she watched television. Her Mother descended to marry a mortal and have children, which not only led to the death of her husband and eldest son but also resulted in her being trapped under Peach Mountain. If it weren't for Yang Jian's skills in saving his mother and fighting against the court, their siblings probably wouldn't have had a good outcome either. And what happened? This girl forgot her pain after healing; she clearly knew that deities and mortals couldn't be together but still made the same mistake as her mother. Did she have a grudge against Liu Yanchang? That promising scholar fell into ruin because of her.
"The Jade Emperor's sister, Yaoji, secretly married a mortal scholar named Yang You and gave birth to three children: Yang Jiao, Yang Jian, and Yang Chan. When the Jade Emperor found out, he sent troops down to kill Yang You and Yang Jiao, trapping Yaoji under Peach Mountain. Yang Jian and Yang Chan managed to escape with the help of Nezha and Marshal Peng. From then on, Nezha and Yang Jian became targets wanted across the three realms..."
"Yang Jian became a disciple of Yuding Zhenren, learned all sorts of skills, split open Peach Mountain, and finally rescued his Mother. Unexpectedly, the Jade Emperor sent ten suns to scorch Yaoji to death. Yang Jian was filled with grief and anger; he killed nine suns but managed to keep one sun due to Chang'e's obstruction..."
"Yang Jian was pursued by the court and fell into the Western Sea, where he was saved by Aocunxin, the Third Princess of the Western Sea. Aocunxin liked Yang Jian, but Yang Jian liked Chang'e..."
"Wait a minute!" Lu Feng interrupted Bai Tang. "Chang'e is friends with Yaoji; doesn't that make Chang'e an elder or aunt figure to Yang Jian? Wouldn't that feel awkward for him?"
"Deities live for thousands of years; that's considered short-lived for them, so time holds no meaning. Besides blood relations and master-disciple relationships, other elder-younger relationships are quite loose," Bai Tang explained Lu Feng's question while agreeing with his thoughts. Why would such a young and fresh Yang Erlang like that old woman Chang'e?
"Even for mortals, a gap of ten or twenty years can make a significant difference; to the immortals, it's merely a slight difference." Lu Feng agreed with Bai Tang's perspective while his mind began to imagine Chang'e, wondering how beautiful she must be to have young men like Nephew fall head over heels for her. He thought he must meet this beautiful goddess if given the chance.
Hua Man Lou's impression of Chang'e was shaped by the poem, "Chang'e should regret stealing the Elixir, as the blue sea and clear night weigh heavily on her heart." He neither liked nor disliked her, despite her being known as the most beautiful woman in the realm, for she had abandoned Hou Yi, a human hero, to ascend to immortality.
"...Out of gratitude, Yang Jian married Aocunxin, but his heart was with Chang'e. This led to a tragic marriage between him and Aocunxin, where they tormented each other for nearly a thousand years..." Bai Tang sighed, disapproving of Yang Jian's actions. Marrying Aocunxin while harboring feelings for Chang'e was disrespectful to Aocunxin. Aocunxin was too foolish in love, too naive in life; this kind and proud girl deserved someone who would love her wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, before meeting that person, she encountered Yang Jian. Yang Jian truly behaved poorly towards his wife and their marriage; on their wedding night, he left her to gaze at the moon in longing for another woman. No matter how magnanimous a woman is, she would find it unbearable. It was no wonder Aocunxin often quarreled with him; if Yang Jian had shown more respect towards his wife, Aocunxin wouldn't have been so troubled.
Listening to Wan Bai Tang's account, Lu Feng and Hua Man Lou felt sympathy for Aocunxin, especially Lu Feng. Beyond his usual compassion for women, he particularly admired Aocunxin. Throughout his years among flowers, he had encountered countless strong-willed women, but whether it was Xue Bing or Ouyang Qing, they all had their own thoughts and would not devote themselves entirely to him. However, he had never met anyone like Aocunxin who would sacrifice everything for the one she loved. After hearing Bai Tang's description, Lu Feng couldn't help but feel jealous of Yang Jian. How could he not cherish such a wonderful wife?
"Let's hurry; I see that Aocunxin is becoming increasingly distressed," Lu Feng urged. Although they could clearly see the image of Pink Dragon, the distance between them was still considerable. Lu Feng activated his Lightness Skill to its fullest; it would take some time to reach her.
Hua Man Lou glanced at his friend in confusion, sensing something unusual about his behavior.
"Why do I feel like she's in even more pain?" Lu Feng frowned without noticing Hua Man Lou's gaze.
Bai Tang activated his identification skill and scanned: "Aocunxin is in labor; she may be facing complications."
"Labor?" The two men were startled; they were witnessing the birth of a divine dragon up close—after all, they were just two mere mortals throughout history.
"Shouldn't we keep our distance?" Hua Man Lou hesitated. With a woman giving birth, it seemed appropriate for them to step back, even if it was a female dragon.
"She's about to face complications; what are we waiting for? We need to help!" Lu Feng grabbed Hua Man Lou's arm and ran forward.
Hua Man Lou questioned him: "When did you become so enthusiastic?"
"Life is at stake; it's not just about dragon lives," Lu Feng replied.
"Even so," Hua Man Lou said, "Aocunxin is the Western Sea Third Princess; she must have caretakers around her. We shouldn't need to rush over."
Bai Tang interjected: "Although Aocunxin is the Western Sea Third Princess, she was banished by the Jade Emperor to the Western Sea. The Dragon King and Queen dare not openly care for their daughter here in such a remote place; Aocunxin may very well be alone."
Lu Feng: "It's really pitiful! Bai Tang, do you have any way to help Third Princess?"
Bai Tang was also puzzled by Lu Feng's attitude towards Aocunxin, and replied, "Some medicine should be able to help Aocunxin."
As the three hurried along, suddenly the pink dragon in the sky trembled and fell from the air.
"Oh no!" Lu Feng quickly gathered his energy, and his speed immediately increased.
Bai Tang and Hua Man Lou exchanged glances and hurried to follow.
Soon, the four arrived at West Sea Shore, but did not see the pink dragon. Instead, they found a woman in a red dress weakly leaning against a rock on the beach. The woman was holding a swaddled baby in her arms, who was crying loudly. The woman was too weak to soothe her own child, tears streaming down her cheeks. Beneath her was a large pool of blood, which continued to spread outward. Lu Feng felt as if his heart had been seized, and he asked with great concern, "Are you Western Sea Third Princess Aocunxin? What happened to you? Do you need our help? Please feel free to command us!"
Aocunxin looked at the four with confusion; two of them were mortals, while she could not see through the other two.
"Who are you?" Aocunxin moved her lips; due to her weakness, her voice was barely audible, only heard clearly by the four due to their keen hearing.
"My name is Lu Feng, and these three are my friends Hua Man Lou, Bai Tang, and Karen Adrian." Lu Feng introduced himself casually. " Bai Tang, you had a difficult delivery; how are you feeling now? If there's anything uncomfortable, just tell me, and I will definitely help you!"
Aocunxin revealed a sorrowful smile: "Can you help me take care of my child?"
