"Really? Can you copy a copy for me?" Tang Minglang asked.
"You should ask Tian Yuan for that; all my video sources come from his computer."
Tang Minglang looked expectantly at Tian Yuan, who nodded while holding his bowl: "Sure! Do you have a USB Drive? I can copy it for you."
A light sound came from the door, followed by Karen Adrian walking in. Seeing so many people at home, Karen Adrian was slightly taken aback but quickly regained composure, nodding at everyone before heading straight to his room.
"What a cool guy!" Tian Yanran remarked.
"Not just cool; he has an aura of danger about him." Yuan Mingyi turned to Bai Tang, "Aren't you going to date him? It looks more like he's out hunting."
Bai Tang snorted lightly: "How would I know if he's going on a date or hunting zombies? I'm not a worm in his stomach!"
Bai Tang was obviously lying; the system displayed the Experience Points related to pets, and during this time, Karen Adrian's Experience Points had increased significantly.
Everyone exchanged glances; with Karen Adrian's interruption, the atmosphere had dropped considerably. They hurriedly finished their meal and several people took their leave one after another. Karen: "What about outside the base?"
Bai Tang: "As long as you aren't caught!"
Karen: "I understand!"
With the answer in hand, Karen returned to her room, and the door closed again.
Bai Tang stared at the door for a while before opening it and stepping outside.
The temperature at night was twenty degrees lower than during the day, and the cold wind blew against her skin, raising goosebumps. Two moons climbed languidly into the sky—no, you weren't mistaken; there were indeed two moons. One of them was a fragment of a meteorite that somehow separated and didn't crash into Earth but entered the Moon's orbit, becoming a satellite of Earth alongside the Moon.
The light from the two moons was twice as bright as that from one moon, yet everything around remained dark—most areas were unlit to conserve energy, with only a few important buildings and main roads illuminated. However, as far as Bai Tang knew, the research institute's project on converting Crystal Core energy into electricity had reached the experimental stage and would soon be ready for promotion.
Bai Tang walked slowly, her mood gradually recovering with each step. Sigh, this could be considered a heartbreak! Compared to others, she was rather unfortunate; not only had she not fallen in love, but she could only be considered to have a crush while dealing with other admirers of the guy.
"Do you want me to invite you out?" Bai Tang said coldly. Why did she come to such a desolate place if not to avoid being discovered by the base's patrols? Her frustration needed an outlet.

Although killing was prohibited within the base, that didn't mean there were no murders; in fact, there were quite a few incidents, as long as they weren't discovered by patrols. There was also a group of hunters who took on missions to kill or beat people; as long as someone paid, they would eliminate targets for their employers.
"Is Xia Mo treating you like this?" Bai Tang couldn't help but look down on the intelligence of these four men. Clearly, she and Karen were from Beijing Base while Xia Mo was an outsider. The four men paused for a moment; after thinking it over, they realized Bai Tang had a point.
"Isn't it possible for someone to fall in love at first sight?" The leading man argued defensively. They were killers and thugs; they didn't care about the actual situation. Since they had been paid, their job was simply to complete it for their employer.
Bai Tang responded with a sarcastic "Heh, heh," saying, "Aren't you trying to take my life? Why aren't you making a move?"
Xia Mo was quite willing to spend resources, having invited four individuals, all of whom were Ability Users of at least Intermediate Level Three, with the leading man already at Level Four. One could even tell from his movements that he had practiced martial arts.
"Big Brother, this woman looks pretty good. How about we have some fun with her before we kill her?" suggested a lecherous-looking man with a sly grin.
Leader shot him a glare: "Do you want to be discovered by the Patrol Team? Don't be troublesome; just kill this woman and leave quickly!"
"Oh!" Perverted Man replied reluctantly. Suddenly, he pressed down with both hands, causing a spike of earth to rise from beneath Bai Tang, aiming to impale her.
Bai Tang calmly stepped to the left, narrowly avoiding the earth spike.
"Big Brother, this girl has some skills!" Perverted Man remarked.
Leader snorted, summoning a bolt of lightning in his hand: "All together now! Take her down as fast as possible!"
Bai Tang let out a mocking snort and moved gracefully through the lightning, flames, earth spikes, and bullets. Suddenly, her figure vanished into the flames, and the next moment, Bai Tang appeared directly in front of Leader, just half a foot away. She swung her fist, sending the man flying like a meteor. In such fashion, four meteors were created. Once they landed, Bai Tang walked over to Perverted Man, stepping on the man's legs with one foot and twisting hard... A scream pierced the air. However, Bai Tang had set up a barrier that muffled the sound within the area, so no Patrol Team came to rescue the poor man being tortured!
The other three men immediately clamped their legs together, their faces turning pale with fear: What a vicious woman! After this encounter, was Zhang San still even a man?
Bai Tang elegantly retracted her leg and gracefully walked over to the handsome leader. He shivered and regretted it deeply; had he known that the target was such a fierce and powerful being, he would never have taken this job.
"Hey!" Bai Tang kicked the leader's waist. "How much did Xia Mo pay you to come kill me?"
"Five Fourth-Stage Crystal Cores," the leader stammered. "Sister, we were wrong; please let us go! We will gladly offer you these five Crystal Cores; I'll even give you two more!"
Bai Tang scoffed: "Just a few Fourth-Stage Crystal Cores? I don't care about that."
She kicked the handsome man's face again: "I don't want these five Fourth-Stage Crystal Cores; instead, I'll give you an extra Fifth-Level Crystal Core if you help me with something."
A Fifth-Level Crystal Core? The men inhaled sharply; the higher the level of a Crystal Core, the more valuable it was. Moreover, they were less common in circulation and harder to obtain. A Level Four Crystal Core was already considered rare; a Fifth-Level Crystal Core was practically priceless!
"You want us to turn around and kill Xia Mo?" Leader Man said thoughtfully.
"No!" Bai Tang raised her right index finger and shook it. "You don't need to kill her; I'm not as ruthless as she is. Just give her a few cuts on her face, and I want to see how she can still seduce men after being disfigured!"
Aren't you ruthless? You should know how important looks are to women. Disfigurement is a huge blow to a woman, especially a beautiful one whose goal is to conquer men!
"I guarantee the mission will be completed!" Leader Man thought he was going to be killed this time, but now he had saved his life. He felt grateful to Bai Tang. After all, it was just a lesson for the woman who sent him to his death. Even if Bai Tang hadn't spoken, they would have done it anyway. Now they could also get a Fifth-Level Crystal Core for free; wasn't that like winning the lottery?
