A black plateau appeared on the screen, with torrents carving a massive horizontal trench, forming a bottomless gorge. The walls of the gorge were terraced, made up of various rocks representing different geological eras, layered like billions of books stacked together to create ever-changing patterns, with rugged rock formations and towering peaks.
Bai Dad and Bai Ma naturally did not recognize this scenic area and asked Bai Tang, who was equally clueless. So they turned to the internet for answers. After some searching, Bai Tang finally discovered where the scenery on the screen belonged.
"This is the Grand Canyon in the United States, also known as the Colorado Canyon because the Colorado River flows through it. It is a world-renowned natural wonder," Bai Tang read aloud. "The Grand Canyon is located in the Kaibab Plateau in northwestern Arizona and is one of the most magnificent sights on Earth. The Colorado River has carved out nineteen major canyons on the Colorado Plateau, with the Grand Canyon being the deepest, widest, and longest among them, stretching 446 kilometers long, making it one of the longest canyons in the world. The horizontal rock layers of the canyon walls are clearly defined; these are geological deposits from billions of years ago, resembling tree rings and providing ample evidence for understanding geological changes. Not all rocks are uniformly hard; those fragile parts cannot withstand wind and rain or the impact of torrents and gradually disappear over time, leaving behind uniquely shaped remnants. This includes natural stone bridges, winding paths through secluded areas, and sheer cliffs that frame a narrow strip of sky. Additionally, there are rock caves formed by water erosion. The shapes are varied and colorful, with some rocks appearing fiery red; each rock seems like a beautiful painting, immersing one in an otherworldly realm. The composer Grofé, known as America's 'musical landscape painter,' was inspired to create after visiting the Grand Canyon in 1920. He spent nearly ten years observing and experiencing it multiple times to depict its grandeur and ever-changing beauty through vivid musical imagery, resulting in the 'Grand Canyon' symphonic suite, often referred to as 'a travelogue written in notes.'"
"It's really impressive; too bad it's too dark at night to see such beautiful scenery," Bai Ma lamented.
"Then let's come back again next time!" Bai Tang suggested.
"Forget it!" Bai Dad replied. "Seeing it on screen is never as good as being there in person. After some time, I'll take your mom on a trip."
Bai Ma's eyes lit up; after so many years of marriage, Bai Dad had only taken her out once before Bai Tang was born. Since then, they hadn't gone out together again for nearly thirty years. The fact that he proposed taking her out now surprised and delighted her. The warmth in her eyes seemed to melt Bai Dad's heart.
Under his wife's gentle gaze, Bai Dad felt soft-hearted too. He recalled that after so many years of marriage, he had only taken Bai Ma out once before being overwhelmed by life's pressures, filling him with guilt and prompting him to make it up to her.

Bai Tang immediately covered her eyes: "I didn't see anything; I didn't see anything."
Bai Dad chuckled: "Our daughter can't see!"
"Go away, you old rascal!" Bai Ma playfully scolded him, her face flushed. Just then, the screen changed to show Las Vegas at night, with colorful neon lights illuminating the entire city like a magical crystal world; beautiful fireworks exploded above Venice Square, enhancing its dreamlike quality...
The spaceship circled around Earth before heading toward it. The spaceship that Bai Tang bought was the latest model from a future world and was incredibly fast; even at its lowest speed for her parents' comfort, they reached the moon in just five minutes. To be honest, up close, the moon wasn't as beautiful as Mars! Both were desolate; Mars appeared fiery red and vibrant while the moon looked gray and pockmarked.
Bai Tang hadn't prepared spacesuits for them; thus, they couldn't leave footprints on the moon like Armstrong did—of course, seeing Chang'e or Jade Rabbit was out of the question. Bai Dad could only recite a poem by Great Ancestor while looking at the pitted sphere: "I lost my proud willow while you lost your poplar; willows sway gently straight up into the sky. Asking Wu Gang what he has there—he offers me osmanthus wine. Lonely Chang'e spreads her wide sleeves; let her dance for loyal souls across this vast sky."
Next, Bai Tang took her parents on a grand tour around Mars, Jupiter, and Mercury. Due to time constraints, they skipped Neptune and Wang Xing (Pluto). After disembarking from the spaceship, Bai Dad and Bai Ma found their legs trembling as if walking on water. Bai Tang supported them as they walked quite a distance before they returned to normal.
"Though space travel is interesting, my body can't handle it!" Bai Ma sighed. "Do future people manage fine traveling by spaceship?"
"The physical fitness of future people is exceptional; they practice martial arts regularly. Ordinary adults have better physical fitness than our special forces today—interstellar travel has no effect on them."
"Is it really that strong?" Bai Ma was both surprised and envious.
Bai Tang said, "There's no need to envy them. As long as you get an injection of Gene Enhancer every year and exercise properly, your and Dad's health will improve."
"Then I'll start exercising with your dad every morning." Bai Ma, who didn't usually like to exercise, made this decision after hearing her daughter's words, not knowing that this decision would later save her life.
After a day trip to the Solar System, life returned to normal. Not long after, Tian Yuan came knocking. They only knew that Bai Tang had gone on a trip, but they couldn't find out where she had gone no matter how hard they tried. So they speculated that Bai Tang must have gone to meet some aliens. Bai Tang did not correct Tian Yuan's speculation and smiled, saying, "I didn't really get anything good this time—"
Seeing Tian Yuan's disappointed expression, Bai Tang quickly changed her tone: "I only bought two Robots, one for home use and one exploration Robot."

Bai Tang pulled her hand back and poured half a plate of fish slices into the bubbling oil pot. The fish slices were thin and cooked quickly. She scooped up the white fish slices and placed them into her dipping sauce while waiting for them to cool.

Seeing the fish slices in Bai Tang's bowl, Tian Yuan also poured half a plate of his favorite tripe into the pot, watching it roll three times before scooping it out.
