Zhang Feng did not have Bai Tang pick him up this time when he arrived in City D. After settling down at the hotel, he called Bai Tang. Bai Tang parked her bicycle and walked into the hotel. The bicycle was a very ordinary one, costing just over five hundred yuan, which she had bought recently for convenience. She felt uneasy about driving and didn't want to keep taking taxis to save money for others, so she decided to buy a bicycle—her demeanor did not resemble that of a wealthy person with millions in assets at all. 0

"Miss, are you checking in or having coffee?" A handsome hotel staff member approached Bai Tang enthusiastically. Bai Tang was dressed in a comfortable and warm down jacket, which didn't seem flashy, but the fashion-savvy staff member quickly recognized that she was wearing a brand-name item worth half his annual salary—Bai Tang never skimped on herself or her family when it came to clothing and food. 0

"I'm going to the café; I have an appointment," Bai Tang smiled at him. The handsome guy was pleasing to the eye, which lifted her spirits. 0

"Please follow me!" The staff member led the way. Although De City Grand Hotel was only a three-star establishment, its layout and facilities were comparable to five-star hotels in larger cities. Located in the most bustling area of the city center, adjacent to two major shopping malls, the building stood twenty-five stories tall. The first floor housed the reception lobby and café, the second floor had a Western restaurant, the third floor featured Chinese Cuisine, the fourth floor had a tea house and game rooms, and from the sixth floor upwards were guest rooms. Since opening nearly ten years ago, it had hosted high-ranking leaders from the central government, foreign dignitaries, as well as famous singers and sports teams from both domestic and international backgrounds, making it one of the landmarks of City D. 0

Zhang Feng sat by the window, with winter sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows, warming him pleasantly. 0

"What would you like to drink?" Zhang Feng asked as he ordered a pot of black tea. 0

"Same for me!" 0

"This pot of black tea has no sugar," Zhang Feng waved for the waiter to bring over a jar of sugar cubes. Bai Tang added three cubes while stirring and observed Zhang Feng's expression. She noticed that his attitude towards her had shifted slightly towards respect; he hadn't been like this during their last two meetings. Previously, his friendly demeanor had carried an air of condescension typical of someone in a higher position addressing an ordinary person. Now, however, Zhang Feng seemed to place himself beneath Bai Tang, leaving her quite puzzled. 0

"I am sincerely here to discuss cooperation with you!" Zhang Feng took a sip of tea while looking at the delicate girl across from him; he found it hard to imagine she was the powerful High Master portrayed on television. 0

Bai Tang was momentarily taken aback but quickly smiled and said, "Mr. Zhang is joking, right? You're a big boss while I'm just running an online store; what could we possibly cooperate on?" 0

Zhang Feng smiled slightly: "Sister Bai, let's be straightforward. I know your background; you have quite a few valuable items on hand. I happen to own an Antique Shop and can help you sell those antiques." 0

"Background? What background could a girl from an ordinary family have?" Bai Tang was startled, thinking Zhang Feng had discovered her secret. 0

"I know you are a disciple of a hidden sect," Zhang Feng stated confidently. "My brother got promoted a few months ago and has come into contact with your circle; he pointed this out to me." 0

Huh? A disciple of a hidden sect? So such existences still exist in this world? Poor her as an ordinary citizen; if it weren't for accidentally obtaining game hacks, she might never have known about these secrets in her lifetime. But this was also good; letting Zhang Feng and others misunderstand her as some hidden sect disciple reduced her concerns and made things easier for her. 0

Bai Tang laughed without confirming or denying anything. She simply said, "I do have some valuable items on hand, but their quantity is limited. I can't take them all out at once; I can only provide you with one or two pieces every so often." 0

Zhang Feng was pleased; although he could only get one or two antiques every so often, he believed that what Bai Tang had would definitely be high-quality items far superior to what he could collect on his own. 0

"Can you give me two items now?" 0

Bai Tang nodded, "The items are not with me. Wait here, and I will bring them to you later." 0

In fact, there were many valuable antiques in the gang's base. However, to solidify her identity as a hidden sect disciple, Bai Tang needed to make a show of going out, indicating that she was retrieving items from her sect. Who knows if Zhang Feng would send a private investigator to track her movements! 0

The next day, Bai Tang rode her bicycle to Dongshan, bypassed Dongshan Park, and headed into the mountains. Dongshan was actually an entire mountain range; although each peak was not very high, it stretched for hundreds of miles. The deeper one went, the fewer signs of human presence there were. In the very center, there were no traces of anyone having been there at all. The mountains retained their primitive appearance; if a sect were to hide here, it would not raise Zhang Feng's suspicions. 0

There were no large predatory beasts in the Dongshan mountain range, but wild boars and weasels could still be found. Bai Tang encountered a few groups along the way but ignored them. The mountain paths were very difficult to navigate, so she packed her bicycle into her bag and simply used lightness techniques to enter the mountains. 0

"A formation!" Bai Tang laughed. With the system map in hand, what kind of formation could possibly stop her? Especially such a rudimentary one? Compared to those formations in the cultivation world that could easily create illusions or summon floods of fire and sand, this was child's play. 0

Bai Tang paid no mind to the surrounding mist and followed the path indicated on the map. After walking for about five or six minutes, the mist suddenly dissipated, revealing a flat area halfway up the mountain with several wooden ancient-style pavilions standing above. A young man holding a long sword glared at Bai Tang. 0

"Who are you? Why did you trespass into our Dongshan Sect's base?" 0

Huh? Dongshan Sect? What a straightforward name. Bai Tang couldn't help but laugh; she had just heard about hidden sects yesterday and now had truly encountered one. She was merely here to take a break in the mountains; what luck... tsk tsk. 0

"I'm sorry, I didn't know this was your base. I'll leave immediately!" 0

"Stop! Our Dongshan Sect's base is not somewhere you can come and go as you please!" The young man shouted, leaping forward to block Bai Tang's escape route. 0

"Lightness technique!" Bai Tang exclaimed with sparkling eyes. 0

"Hmph!" The young man proudly lifted his chin. "You won't escape my grasp; stay obediently!" 0

"You want to unlawfully detain me? I will call the police," Bai Tang pretended to be scared and took out her phone. 0

"Hmph, there's no mobile signal here; good luck contacting the police," the young man pointed his sword at Bai Tang's throat. "Turn around and walk back." 0

"Are you going to kill me?" Bai Tang asked. 0

"Don't worry, we don't kill people casually." 0

"Then why won't you let me go?" 0

"Naturally, it's because we're afraid you'll leak our sect's secrets," Young Person said. "Just stay here honestly!" 0

"Stay? Are you going to support me?" Bai Tang feigned surprise. 0

"Dream on! You'll stay here as a servant, and if you slack off, well, the lightest punishment is that you won't get any food. Of course, if you perform well, the sect will reward you with some martial arts training to strengthen your body..." Young Person seemed to have been starved for conversation and couldn't stop talking. 0

"..." Bai Tang dug at her ears. "I can't stay; my parents are waiting for me at home! If I go missing, they'll be really worried." 0

"You don't need to worry about that. We'll send someone to inform your parents so they won't have to worry about your safety," Young Person replied. 0

Bai Tang shook her head. "I still can't stay." 0

Young Person got angry. "Whether you stay or not is not up to you! You are my captive, so hurry up and turn around!" 0

"No!" 0

"I'll kill you!" Young Person threatened Bai Tang, pushing the tip of his sword forward by an inch. 0

Bai Tang extended her finger and gently pinched the sword tip. Young Person felt a sharp pain in his wrist, and in the next moment, his sword was in Bai Tang's hand. 0

"You, you..." Young Person pointed at Bai Tang in shock. "You're not an ordinary person? Which sect are you from that came looking for trouble?" 0

Bai Tang flicked her finger, and the Longsword plunged into the ground beneath Young Person's feet, embedding itself up to the hilt. 0

"Not at all, I really just stumbled into your sect by mistake, I didn't mean to cause trouble," Bai Tang said innocently. 0

The young man did not believe Bai Tang's words at all, thinking she was toying with him. Angrily, he drew his sword and attacked Bai Tang. She lightly dodged, finding the young man's swordsmanship full of flaws. 0

"Ming Yi, stop!" A shout came from one of the pavilions. Immediately, a shadow flashed, and an elderly man in his fifties or sixties appeared between them. 0

The old man pulled the young man aside and cupped his fists toward Bai Tang. "I am Lin Wenbin from the Dongshan Sect. I apologize for my nephew's offense; please forgive him." 0

Bai Tang suddenly felt as if she had crossed into an ancient martial arts drama. Ha, it turns out Bai Dad wasn't exaggerating; this world truly has martial arts. 0

"I am Bai Tang, a woman of no sect. I apologize for intruding on your territory," Bai Tang replied, mimicking the old man's gesture. She was quite interested in these hidden sects and naturally wanted to make a good impression. 0

"May I ask which sect you belong to?" The old man was very curious about Bai Tang's background. He was familiar with the younger generation of various martial arts sects and confirmed that this girl was not a disciple of any other sect. Could she be a rogue cultivator? But how could a rogue cultivator possess such profound skills? Yuan Mingyi was no match for her; after all, Yuan Mingyi was a standout among the younger generation and had placed third in last year's competition, showcasing remarkable strength. Yet here he was, unable to even graze the hem of this girl's clothing with his sword. 0

"I have no sect or affiliation; I merely obtained a Secret Manual and cultivated to my current level," Bai Tang fabricated a reason that convinced the old man. Such situations were not unheard of, but those who obtained Secret Manuals often had limited achievements due to lack of guidance from elders. However, this girl had managed to cultivate extraordinary skills without such guidance, indicating her exceptional talent. The old man felt a desire to nurture and befriend her. 0

"Since you have come here, it seems we are fated to meet. Would you like to come inside for a cup of tea?" The old man invited Bai Tang. 0

"Since you invite me, I dare not refuse!" Bai Tang smiled politely and followed the old man into one of the pavilions. 0
