"Two guests, what would you like to order?" The waiter hurriedly approached us with a courteous tone as we took our seats. 0

"I'll have a pot of your best black tea, and a few signature snacks," I replied. 0

Liu Zhuang glanced at me but didn't expect me to speak, so he ordered some food for himself. 0

I looked around and noticed that my senior brother wasn't here today. That was fine; I had some matters to attend to, and his presence would only complicate things. 0

I was satisfied to withdraw my gaze, but then I caught the eye of a woman who seemed to recognize me. A hint of surprise flashed in her eyes before she approached with a warm smile. 0

"What a rare guest! Lord of Fireflies, what brings you to my little teahouse today?" 0

I was somewhat surprised. "Miss, you know me?" 0

"I've heard about you from a friend. The demeanor of Lord of Fireflies is not something ordinary women can compare to. Qiao Lan considers herself to have a discerning eye." 0

I raised an eyebrow. She introduced herself and even recognized me, coming over to strike up a conversation; it seemed she had something to say, which saved me some effort. 0

Liu Zhuang chimed in jokingly, "Madam, your teahouse is not just fragrant with tea; the people here are even more delightful." 0

Qiao Lan shot him a glance but couldn't help but laugh. "You're quite the charmer." 0

I got straight to the point. "Miss Qiao, how has my senior brother been these past years?" 0

Her hand paused slightly as she poured the tea, then she forced a casual smile. "Your senior brother... he's doing well." 0

Her evasive response clearly indicated that she was hiding something. 0

Just as I was about to press further, I suddenly felt a piercing gaze on me. I looked around and noticed an unremarkable man who was drinking tea with his head down but occasionally glanced our way. My instincts told me that something was off about him. 0

I gave Qiao Lan a knowing glance, frowning as I whispered, "Walls have ears." 0

She immediately understood, finding an excuse to lead us to the backyard, avoiding the prying eyes in the front hall. 0

The backyard was serene. Qiao Lan sighed before speaking softly, "Brother Zhou doesn't want me to tell you. He will say what he wants you to know himself; it's not my place to intervene. It's just..." She paused, her expression grave as she continued, "You must take good care of him and ensure he doesn't resort to violence." 0

A jolt ran through me. What was wrong with my senior brother? Looking at Qiao Lan's hesitant expression, I had a bad feeling. 0

"Can't resort to violence? Is there something wrong with my senior brother's health?" 0

Qiao Lan bit her lip, a glint of determination flashing in her eyes. 0

"He has been poisoned." 0

"Poisoned!" 0

I felt a bit lost, unsure how to react. How could my senior brother be poisoned? With his martial skills, it would be difficult for an ordinary person to get close to him unless it was someone he trusted. 0

The only ones who had been in contact with him all these years were Qiao Lan's family! 0

As this thought crossed my mind, a storm began to brew in my eyes. 0

At that moment, a flash of cold light appeared as a man in green descended from the sky, accompanied by dozens of men in black. Before they landed, they threw several smoke bombs to the ground. 0

I silently cursed, realizing the danger, and quickly held my breath as I drew my sword to confront them. 0

My figure darted swiftly among the black-clad men, the tip of my sword gleaming coldly as I accurately struck at their vital points. I deflected one black-clad man's weapon with a single strike when suddenly I felt dizzy; the smoke was indeed toxic. We might not last long and needed to end this quickly. 0

However, these black-clad men were formidable opponents. Their teamwork was seamless, and their moves were ruthless and difficult to handle. I initially thought they were from the martial arts alliance, but their techniques were different from those of the black-clad men from a few days ago; their lethal strikes resembled those of assassins instead. 0

I planted my sword into the ground to support myself and watched as the man in green slowly approached, giving orders without looking back, "Sit down and regulate your breathing." 0

Liu Zhuang and Qiao Lan sat down on the spot, quickly sealing several major acupoints to prevent the poison from spreading. 0

The man in green stepped closer, his voice sounding as if it came from hell, "Yu Yao, have you ever thought that you would end up like this?" 0

I looked down at him with disdain and sneered, "Do you really think you can kill me? Hmph, a mere clown." 0

Before he could finish his retort, I took advantage of his distraction, leaping into the air. My soft sword darted like a spirit snake and plunged directly into his ribs. I withdrew the sword and kicked him away several yards. 0

"I despise being threatened more than anything; you are seeking death." 0

The man in green's face twisted in rage, a manic smile creeping onto his lips. "Yu Yao, you are merely at the end of your strength. I want to see how long you can hold on." He suddenly waved his hand, and the surrounding assassins closed in on us. "She’s poisoned and won’t last long. Everyone, attack together and kill her!" 0

At that moment, a white figure floated over and landed beside me. He pulled out a porcelain bottle from his robe, poured out two pills, and held them to my mouth. 0

I sighed in relief; for an instant, the dizziness intensified. I quickly swallowed the antidote pill and softly called out, "Senior Brother, I'm fine." 0

He looked at me with concern before nodding slightly, a glint of determination flashing in his eyes. He turned and stepped forward slowly, wielding his long sword. As the sword light flickered, the surrounding black-clad assassins fell one after another. 0

Senior Brother approached the severely injured man in green and reached out to remove the human skin mask from his face. Underneath was a familiar face—Azure Sparrow! 0
