Prophet Brother 6: Resolving Dilemmas

My fighting spirit has been ignited. 0
I no longer simply purchase supplies as I did before. 0
I have decided to reduce direct purchases from the local market and instead buy through online channels. 0
Although this will increase transportation costs and time, 0
it effectively avoids the interference of Zhao Gang. 0
Additionally, I have decided to leverage the advantage of information asymmetry, 0
intentionally creating some false demand information in the market to confuse Zhao Gang. 0
I believe that with Zhao Gang's personality, he will definitely react to this information, which will create opportunities for me. 0
Sure enough, Zhao Gang quickly fell for it. 0
During a large-scale procurement, he misjudged market demand due to the false information he received, 0
resulting in him purchasing a large quantity of expired supplies. 0
I seized the opportunity and successfully bought a batch of cheap and practical supplies, 0
and by the time Zhao Gang realized his mistake, it was already too late. 0
"Ha ha, Zhao Gang, it seems your intelligence work isn't good enough," 0
I said with a smug smile in front of Zhao Gang. 0
This was the first time I showed such a proud attitude in front of Zhao Gang, 0
as I had been holding back my breath for a long time. 0
Zhao Gang's face turned extremely ugly; he stared at me fiercely as if he wanted to devour me. 0
"Don't be too complacent," Zhao Gang said through gritted teeth, "I haven't lost yet." 0
"Then let's wait and see," I replied with a smile, "and see who can laugh last." 0
Although I achieved victory, I did not let my guard down. 0
I knew that with Zhao Gang's petty nature, he would not give up easily; 0
he would definitely come up with new ways to deal with me. 0

I must remain vigilant at all times to face his challenges. In the days that followed, the competition between Zhao Gang and me became increasingly intense. We each employed our strategies, engaging in a fierce battle for resources in the market. During this time, I hardly took any breaks, spending all day thinking about and responding to Zhao Gang's tactics. Although I was exhausted, I didn't tell my family. 0

New changes began to emerge in the market. Some perceptive individuals had already sensed the seriousness of the situation and started hoarding supplies. The competition between Zhao Gang and me gradually entered a new phase. We became more familiar with each other, and our rivalry became less intense. We each occupied a portion of the market, achieving a certain balance in resource acquisition. I knew that this balance was only temporary; once the situation worsened further, Zhao Gang would surely take action again. However, at least for now, both of our families had stockpiled a considerable amount of supplies, allowing us to feel somewhat secure. 0

A few days later, the situation became even more serious. "I think we should inform Aunt's family," I suggested during a family meeting. Although we did not live in the same city as Aunt's family, our two families had always maintained a close relationship. "I agree," Dad nodded and said, "We are family; we should prepare them." After some discussion, we decided to inform Aunt's family of our findings and suggest that they also stockpile some supplies. 0

Unexpectedly, Aunt's family did not take our proposal seriously. "I watched the news; it's not as exaggerated as you say," Aunt said with a smile. 0

"Our lives must go on; we need to maintain an optimistic attitude," my aunt said. Her attitude left us feeling somewhat helpless. 0

While we also hoped that things wouldn't get too bad, it was always wise to prepare for the worst. 0

"Aunt, we're doing this for your sake," I said earnestly. "No matter what happens, it's always good to stock up on supplies." 0

"Oh, you all just love to worry," my aunt waved her hand dismissively and said, "We need to trust the government; they will protect us." 0

Her words left us momentarily speechless. Although we were anxious, we knew that her optimistic mindset was hard to change. 0

"I think we should still make some preparations," my uncle suddenly spoke up. "Better safe than sorry." 0

"Why are you joining in on this fuss?" my aunt shot him a glare and said, "You're just being overly concerned." 0

"This isn't being overly concerned; it's being prepared," my uncle retorted. "Storing more food is never a bad thing." 0

Watching my uncle and aunt argue, we couldn't help but laugh. 0
