In the following days, I found it increasingly difficult to stock up on supplies. I contacted several suppliers, but they all reported shortages and were unable to meet my needs. I tried to find other channels for supplies, but discovered that almost all suppliers had closed their doors to me. This was highly unusual; I realized someone was deliberately sabotaging my efforts to prevent me from obtaining more resources.
I began to investigate and soon discovered the involvement of Zhao Gang. It turned out he had been obstructing me all along, wanting to monopolize all the supplies to keep me in check. What a ridiculous situation! It truly felt like a case of someone being foolishly wealthy and burning money for no reason. Why was he fixated on me? I pondered this in my mind.
I reached out to suppliers in other regions. Utilizing online resources, I quickly found several willing partners. Although their prices were slightly higher than local suppliers, they had ample resources. While contacting these suppliers, I also started preparing other materials.
When Zhao Gang learned of my actions, he became furious. He immediately contacted those suppliers in an attempt to stop them from providing me with supplies. However, these suppliers were not under his control; they had their own business rules and reputations. Zhao Gang's actions only stirred their resentment, leading them to refuse cooperation with him and continue supplying me.
Zhao Gang's plan failed; he did not expect me to find alternative solutions so quickly. Enraged and humiliated, he decided to confront me personally for negotiations.
"Lin Hao, don't think you can stop me like this. I still have plenty of supplies at my disposal, enough to weather any crisis," Zhao Gang said fiercely as he glared at me.
I looked at Zhao Gang in confusion. "Crisis? What crisis? You're just an old relic trying to play the big boss?"
"What's wrong? Am I not allowed to change my hobbies? Have you changed yours too?"
Zhao Gang's expression changed, as if he realized something.
He didn't say anything; he gave me a deep look and then turned to leave.
I continued to acquire supplies without interruption.
However, Zhao Gang did not give up; he kept intensifying his efforts to create trouble for me.
Although it didn't affect me, it was still annoying, like a toad clinging to my hand!
Just when I was about to confront him, an unexpected opportunity arose.
That day, I was searching online for new suppliers when suddenly a small supplier reached out to me.
This small supplier was usually inconspicuous, so Zhao Gang didn't pay him any attention.
But this little supplier was willing to help me.
"Boss Lin, I know you've been having some trouble lately," the small supplier said straightforwardly. "I can help you, but I have one condition."
"Go ahead," I said eagerly, not minding his address.
"I hope you can ensure the safety of my family," the small supplier stated his condition.
It turned out that this small supplier also sensed the crisis but lacked the resources and ability to protect himself.
So, he thought of collaborating with me to leverage my strength for his own safety.
I agreed to his condition without hesitation; it was a win-win choice.
Soon, we reached an agreement, and he began supplying me with materials.
Since this small supplier was not very large, Zhao Gang did not notice him.
Our collaboration is progressing smoothly, and my stress has been alleviated. However, Zhao Gang did not stop there; he continued to increase his efforts. The competition for resources in the market is becoming increasingly fierce, and the rivalry between Zhao Gang and me has reached a boiling point. I have to expend more energy to deal with Zhao Gang's challenges, and I also need to adjust my plans.
I realized that I could not complete this task relying solely on my own strength; I needed more help. Thus, I began to consider the possibility of collaborating with others. Just as I was preparing to take further action, Zhao Gang appeared before me again.
"Lin Hao, you are truly becoming more surprising," Zhao Gang said with a forced smile. "I didn't expect you to find new suppliers."
"Zhao Gang, you surprise me too," I replied coldly. "I didn't expect you to come looking for me."
"Hmph, don't think you can succeed," Zhao Gang's gaze turned fierce. "I won't let you succeed."
"Then let's see," I said fearlessly, meeting Zhao Gang's gaze. "Let's see who can laugh last."
