Xiang Xueer The three of them walked along the road, witnessing scenes that were hard to bear. The townspeople of various sizes began to flee in all directions, and demons occasionally sprang out onto the road, baring their teeth and rushing towards them.
Xiang Xueer With a swift motion of her sword, several Demon Wolves fell dead on the spot. She looked at the townspeople who had been bitten to death on the ground, feeling an immense sorrow in her heart. No, she couldn't waste any more time; she needed to quickly find Rhinoceros Horn and Black Dog Blood.
She looked up and saw a village that had been completely looted, so she hurriedly walked inside. Normally, there would be dogs kept in the homes of the townspeople, so finding a Black Dog shouldn't be too difficult.
As she spoke, a wave of Killing Intent surged from the left side towards the three of them. Xiang Xueer quickly stepped aside and suddenly found herself facing a tall Rhinoceros. This demon had red eyes, stood about two meters tall, and had a horn as thick as an arm on its nose. Its hind legs scraped against the ground as it turned and charged at her.
"Hmph! What a stroke of luck!" A cold smile appeared at the corner of Xiang Xueer's mouth. With a leap, she firmly pressed down on the rhinoceros's nose with both hands while grabbing its horn with one hand, then jumped onto its back.
The Rhinoceros demon's red pupils scanned upwards, and immediately it began to thrash around like it had gone mad, bellowing loudly. This beast was furious and seemed intent on throwing Xiang Xueer off its back.
"Wow!" Lian Cheng Xue and Ling Zhu dared not step forward to help; the beast was jumping around wildly, making it impossible to subdue it. Ling Zhu tried several times to bind it with Vine, but each time it was quickly shattered.
With her hands slick with sweat holding onto the cursed Rhinoceros Horn, just maintaining her balance was already quite difficult. She slowly pulled out a dagger from her ankle and fiercely stabbed it towards the Rhinoceros's eye.
The surrounding sky grew darker and more terrifying. Suddenly, a roar pierced through the air as the Rhinoceros rampaged violently. Xiang Xueer clung tightly to its neck, squeezing her legs tightly around its body to secure herself on its back.
"Hmph!" Xiang Xueer dug her fingertips deep into the Rhinoceros's neck, gripping several major arteries. With a few cracking sounds, she snapped its neck; the arteries ruptured, and blood began to seep out from beneath its thick hide. Following that, with a strong pull, the Rhinoceros collapsed to the ground, frothing at the mouth and unable to move.
Xiang Xueer jumped off the back of the Rhinoceros, looking at the dying creature gasping for breath. She wiped off the blood on her hands and then took out a handkerchief to clean herself up: "Lian Cheng Xue, it's your turn now!"
Lian Cheng Xue stepped forward and swung her Black Iron Sword, causing the horn to fall bloodily onto the ground. Seeing this, Ling Zhu quickly stepped up to wrap it up and carry it on her back.
With the Rhinoceros Horn secured, now they just needed to find Black Dog Blood. This should be easier to locate; however, after searching for a long time, they still hadn't found a single Black Dog. In fact, there wasn't even a shadow of one around.
"What is going on?" Xiang Xueer frowned and looked around. Suddenly, pairs of Red Eyes lit up in the dark alley, flashing with a fierce, murderous light.
The numbers grew increasingly larger, closing in on the three of them from all directions. Xiang Xueer wrinkled her nose and sniffed; it was the familiar scent of Wolf Demon. She focused her gaze and saw the Wolf King standing in the middle of the wolf pack, holding several dead Black Dogs in his hands.
"Wolf King!" Xiang Xueer stared at the dead Black Dogs in his hands and suddenly understood. After searching for the Black Dogs for so long, it turned out this bastard had captured them all.
"Hmph!" The Wolf King opened his mouth and swallowed the few Black Dogs in his hands, tossing aside the remaining ones. Instantly, the Wolf Demons surged forward, tearing apart the corpses of the dogs until not even a hair was left.
This damned creature had actually gotten ahead of her again. Lian Cheng Xue wanted to step forward but was stopped by Shirley. She shook her head, "It's too dangerous. Don't get entangled with these guys; we need to leave quickly!"
That's right, I don't believe that this Wolf King can kill all the Black Dogs in the nearby village! As Xiang Xueer spoke, she turned to leave, but the wolf pack immediately surged forward, closely pursuing them from behind.
"Faster!" Xiang Xueer ran wildly while quickly forming hand seals with both hands. She bit her finger and struck it on the ground. In the thick fog, Taotie lifted its legs and threw all three of them onto its back, soaring into the air just in time to evade the wolves' pursuit.
"That was close; if we were any slower, it would have been dangerous!" Ling Zhu sighed. Just as she was about to relax, she turned her head and exclaimed in shock, "Not good! Look, that Wolf King is chasing us!"
Indeed, this Wolf King was relentlessly pursuing them. She stood up immediately: "Ling Zhu, leave this Wolf King to me; you two hurry and find Black Dog Blood!"
"Wait, Shirley!" Ling Zhu and Lian Cheng Xue hadn't had a chance to call her back when Xiang Xueer had already leaped forward to fiercely attack the Wolf King. She reached behind her back and cursed; she almost forgot that her Azure Wind Sword wasn't with her. Forget it; she drew out an AK47 and shouted angrily: "Exorcism Essence: Crimson Lotus Demon-Breaking Soul-Locking Spear!"
Countless chains intertwined with burning flames instantly blocked the Wolf King's advance. Watching Ling Zhu and Lian Cheng Xue grow further away, it cursed under its breath. There was no choice but to deal with the obstacle in front of it first; however, wanting to eliminate Xiang Xueer would not be that simple.
"Stop!" Xiang Xueer fixed her gaze on its moving feet and shouted immediately. The Wolf King's green pupils glared at her: "Damn girl, get out of my way!"
"Hmph!" Xiang Xueer sneered, "I heard that you were the one who injured Li Yunyang last time, right?"
"So what? Anyway, their lives have long since been extinguished!" Wolf King said with a smile, taking out a small bottle from his waist and grinning wickedly in his hand. "Do you want their souls? Come and take them if you can!"
Souls? Xiang Xueer immediately widened her eyes. She thought that the souls of Li Yunyang and Qingtian had been taken by that damned Demon Lord, but unexpectedly they were here with Wolf King.
"Hand over the bottle!" Xiang Xueer pointed at Wolf King. "Otherwise, you won't leave here today!"
Wolf King narrowed his cunning eyes, raised an eyebrow with a smile, and then tightly squeezed the bottle in his hand. "Shut up! If you dare to take another step closer, I'll crush this bottle immediately!"
Looking at the bottle clutched in Wolf King's hand, which was making creaking sounds from being tightly squeezed, Xiang Xueer became anxious. With a flying kick, she sent the bottle flying into the air.
"Hmm?" Wolf King frowned as both sides rushed forward to fight for the soul bottle. The situation became tense, while Ling Zhu and Lian Cheng Xue had to dodge the wolves behind them and find a way to search for Black Dog.
However, after searching the area thoroughly, they still couldn't find Black Dog. It felt like heaven was trying to eliminate them. At this moment, dark clouds gradually engulfed the entire Sky Beyond Mountain, rolling ominously and spreading in all directions.
It seemed that the situation on the Ancestors' side was not optimistic either. Time passed second by second as they watched the human realm suffer calamity, but they felt powerless to do anything. Ling Zhu and Lian Cheng Xue cursed themselves for being so useless.
"What should we do?" Ling Zhu turned to look at Lian Cheng Xue, who shook his head. "We can't find Black Dog Blood for now. Let's return to Shirley first and think of a way!"
The two nodded and rode Taotie back to Xiang Xueer's side, only to be stunned by what they saw before them: the world turned upside down, the ground cracked open, trees were completely destroyed, and flames engulfed the Tree Trunk.
