With a loud 'thud', a tail swung over and smashed the bed to pieces. With a whoosh, Ling Zhu rushed out from inside, her dagger flashing as it stabbed into the Serpent Empress's back. 0

"Is that the Serpent Empress? I thought you were dead!" Ling Zhu's dagger was knocked away, and she quickly stepped back. She had clearly seen the Serpent Empress being gutted by the Witch, yet here it was, alive and beyond her comprehension. 0

"What are you?" The Serpent Empress's red pupils contracted as she stared at the unfamiliar Ling Zhu, roaring, "Hmph, so you’ve hidden her away? In that case, I will bring her out myself!" 0

With that, its serpent tail swept through the room, and the Gigantic Snake broke through the walls and eaves of the inn, starting to wreak havoc. Its only thought was to kill Xiang Xueer. In no time, the three-story inn was on the verge of collapse. 0

"This is bad!" Ling Zhu cursed under her breath, feeling shards of debris scrape her cheek. Hiding across from her, the Platypus looked up at the raised serpent head, trembling in fear. "Oh my gosh, it's the Serpent Empress!" 0

It hugged its head in an attempt to flee but turned to see Xiang Xueer still lying unconscious on the bed. It felt a deep conflict within; while self-preservation was important, she was in grave danger. It had promised to protect her at all costs. 0

Help! Forget it! Without hesitation, it picked up Xiang Xueer and began to dash downstairs. The Serpent Empress raised its serpent head and quickly spotted them. 0

"You little pest, you run pretty fast!" The Serpent Empress rolled its body, causing walls to collapse and roofs to tilt. Moments later, all that remained in the open space was emptiness. The Duck sat on the ground holding Xiang Xueer, looking up at the gaping maw filled with fangs that could swallow them whole without effort. 0

"Help! Big sister, please wake up!" The Duck was terrified to the point of nearly wetting itself as it pushed against Xiang Xueer's body. Unfortunately, she had already been poisoned and was unconscious; no matter what they said or how much danger surrounded them, she remained oblivious. 0

"Roar!" The Serpent Empress let out an angry roar and bent down to attack. The Platypus sat on the ground in despair and grabbed Xiang Xueer's AK-47, mimicking her actions as it pulled the trigger. However, whether due to nerves or something else, not a single bullet fired. 0

"What do I do? I'm going all in with you!" The Platypus stood up and held its ground with both hands on the weapon. If the Serpent Empress dared to come closer, it was ready to fight back. 0

"Get out of my way!" The Serpent Empress treated it like an insignificant presence. With a sweep of its tail, the Duck was sent flying eight meters away. On the ground lay only the unconscious Xiang Xueer, utterly powerless against the reborn Serpent Empress. 0

"Hmph! Witch, today I can finally take revenge for that day. Prepare to meet your end!" Serpent Empress roared, opening her mouth filled with sharp fangs. Duck was lying on the ground with its rear in the air, reaching out and shouting, "No!" 0

"Huh?" Serpent Empress frowned, her body seemingly held tightly in place, unable to move. She turned her head in surprise to look at her body, only to find that it was ensnared by countless vine-like tendrils. 0

Following the direction of the vines, she realized it was Ling Zhu's doing. Countless Vines were extending from her sleeves, desperately holding onto Serpent Empress's body, preventing her from harming Xiang Xueer. 0

Ling Zhu was sweating profusely. Even though she could temporarily restrain this damned Giant Snake, her strength wouldn't last long. She turned and shouted at Platypus, "Don't just stand there! Hurry and take her away!" 0

"Ah, I got it!" Duck was taken aback at first; it hadn't expected that Ling Zhu would be a demon, and that this creature would risk herself to save Xiang Xueer. What on earth was this woman thinking? 0

There was no time to ponder that; saving the elder sister came first! Duck quickly rushed over, grabbing Xiang Xueer's body and sprinting toward the forest ahead. "Sister, hold on! I'll get you to safety right away." 0

As they stumbled along, Platypus struggled to carry the taller Xiang Xueer. Finally, they found a secluded spot in a corner of the woods—a small cave formed by rocks. It placed her inside the cave and quietly covered her with leaves so she wouldn't be easily discovered. 0

"Ugh, I'm exhausted!" It looked up at the sky; dawn was still far off. It wondered how long Ling Zhu could hold out. Just as it feared, what it dreaded came true. Turning to look back, Ling Zhu had already been thrown into the air by Serpent Empress, and the Vines had been broken free. 0

"You little brat, do you think you can trap me?" Serpent Empress sneered at Ling Zhu, who was struggling to get up from the ground. She didn't even bother to torment her for her life; her eyes were fixed on the direction where Xiang Xueer had escaped. 0

For her own survival, she had to kill this Witch today! The mysterious person had revived her but also controlled the Snake Gallbladder. If she didn't obey the orders of that Masked Man, her fate would be dire as well. Moreover, this Xiang Xueer had a deep-seated grudge against her. 0

"Oh no, it's too late!" Just as Platypus had hidden Xiang Xueer, Serpent Empress was already attacking, moving so fast that it hadn't even left itself time to escape. 0

Serpent Empress glared with beast-like eyes at the collapsed Platypus, scanning the surroundings fiercely but failing to detect any trace of Xiang Xueer. 0

"Die, Duck, where have you hidden that Witch?" The Serpent Empress roared, opening her mouth and bending down, ready to swallow Duck whole. 0

"I-I won't tell you! You filthy snake demon!" Duck trembled and shouted loudly, infuriating the Serpent Empress, who glared with her Red Eyes and angrily retorted, "Hmph, you have some guts. Let's see if you can keep that up!" 0

With that, she swept her tail, instantly pinning Platypus to the ground. Blood covered Platypus's mouth and nose as it lay motionless. The Serpent Empress warned one last time, "Tell me where you hid it!" 0

Duck, usually cowardly and quick to flee at the first sign of danger, surprisingly acted like a tough warrior today. It laughed heartily and turned to spit at the Serpent Empress, saying, "Pah! You think you can hurt me even a little? You don't deserve it!" 0

The Serpent Empress's eyes twitched uncontrollably; this fearless Duck had hit her limit. She coldly chuckled, "Very well, since that's the case, let me send you to meet Yama first, then I'll kill that Dead Girl!" 0

With a roar, she raised her serpent tail to strike Platypus. Suddenly, a figure appeared on the heights opposite them. A melodious flute sound filled the air, followed by an eerie rhythm. The Serpent Empress's raised tail was suddenly frozen in mid-air. 0

Ling Zhu was struggling to get up from the ground when he heard that familiar flute sound. He breathed a sigh of relief and leaned against a nearby tree trunk. "Thank goodness the master is nearby; otherwise, I would have lost my life today." 0

"What’s going on?" The Serpent Empress found herself unable to move and looked up at the person on the heights, instantly filled with hatred. "Heart Demon, it's you again!" 0

Heart Demon slowly lowered the flute from his mouth and swiftly positioned himself in front of Platypus. His Blue Eyes flashed as a Killing Intent radiated from him, stirring the air around them into a powerful current. "Serpent Empress, don't blame me for not giving you a chance; it seems you're truly tired of living!" 0
