Severed Arm? The expression on the Rakshasa King's face immediately darkened. He looked at his arm; time was running out. If there was no antidote within two days, he might have to sever his arm to save his life.
"I am a little bird, no matter how I fly, I can't fly high!" Xiang Xueer lay bored on the ground, humming a tune. Qingtian stood there and sighed, "I must say, it's impressive that you can sing so calmly at a time like this!"
"Since we're stuck here and can't get out, I call this finding joy in hardship!" Xiang Xueer pouted and smiled confidently. "Don't worry, it won't be long before they come to let us out!"
"Huh? Really?" Qingtian looked at her with confusion. Just as she finished speaking, Lu Pan from the Eighteenth Layer of Hell walked over. Xiang Xueer raised an eyebrow at Qingtian, "What do you think? Didn't that horned man come?"
The Eighteen Judges of Hell lightly tapped the door of Xiang Xueer's cage with the plaque in his hand. "Come out, the King of Hell wants to see you!"
Xiang Xueer stood up leisurely, brushed off the dust from her clothes, and swaggered out of the cage. "Qingtian, don't worry; now they need us. Soon they'll treat you like a lord. Just wait and see!"
Lan Ran Qingtian looked at Xiang Xueer with confusion as he followed Lu Pan out, muttering in disbelief, "Is that true?"
Lu Pan brought Xiang Xueer to the King of Hell's palace and told her to wait outside while he went in to announce her arrival. She looked around the room: "Wow, life here isn't bad. I didn't expect such luxury even in hell."
"Go in!" Lu Pan came out from inside, and only then did Xiang Xueer enter the room. The spacious room was furnished with antique redwood tables and chairs. In the southwest corner was a round bed where the Rakshasa King lay shirtless, revealing his perfectly sculpted chest. His silver hair was casually spread across the sheets as he reclined against the headboard, one hand propping up his chin while his silver eyes fixed on Xiang Xueer as she entered.
Oh no, I'm going to nosebleed! Xiang Xueer quickly turned her head and covered her nose; this was just too tempting—an outright seduction.
"Come here!" The Rakshasa King commanded. Xiang Xueer swallowed hard and turned around to face the handsome man before her. Her feet began to move involuntarily; those fiery eyes—could he be trying to use his looks against me?
Suddenly, the Rakshasa King's expression darkened. He abruptly raised his right arm; black venom was already spreading close to his shoulder. She focused her gaze and gasped! It seemed this guy had been seriously injured by the Serpent Empress!
Xiang Xueer stepped forward, grabbed his arm to take a look, and confirmed that he was indeed poisoned by the Unified Poison. She frowned and said, "At this rate, he won't last until tomorrow's sunset. Once the poison invades the internal organs, he will become a Zombie like Li Yunyang under the control of the Serpent Empress."
The Demon King abruptly pulled his arm away and adjusted his clothing. "Nonsense! When I accessed your memories, I saw that you had dealings with the Serpent Empress. If it weren't absolutely necessary, I would never have any interactions with people from the Demon Realm."
"Hey, are you done? What do you mean by people from the Demon Realm? I have no idea what you're talking about!" Xiang Xueer retorted impatiently, which surprised the Demon King.
"Don't you even know yourself?" He stared into Xiang Xueer's eyes for a long moment before standing up and quickly pulling her toward the back of the house. "If that's the case, then let me show you clearly."
Show her clearly? What was he talking about? Xiang Xueer was led to a stone wall in the backyard, where he suddenly pulled away a red curtain hanging over it, revealing an oval-shaped black stone that was as tall as a person.
"This is called the True Mirror. Anyone standing here will see the most genuine side of their soul!" The Demon King said as he brought Xiang Xueer in front of the stone mirror.
The depths of her soul? Xiang Xueer stared at the black mirror in confusion. Suddenly, a figure began to appear in the mirror—it was her own self from when she was alive. Her perfect figure and beauty were undeniable; who else could compare?
Just as she felt a sense of comfort, the mirror began to shift direction, and another person's shadow appeared in the True Mirror. Fiery red hair flowed in the wind, and atop their head were black Dragon Horns. A dragon-claw-shaped Black Cloak draped over their shoulders. Suddenly, that person opened their eyes; their crimson pupils constricted into thin lines, and a wicked smile curled at their lips. She broke into a cold sweat and quickly stepped back.
The Demon King swiftly covered the stone wall with the red curtain again, staring at her panicked expression. "What do you think? Do you still dare to say you're not from the Demon Realm?"
"I've seen her once, but I really don't know anything about her! Who is she?" Xiang Xueer turned to look at the Demon King with wide eyes. He was equally confused and exclaimed, "How would I know? I need to ask you!"
This was truly overwhelming; no wonder the Demon King said she had dual souls. Earlier, Taotie and that Duck mentioned something about transforming—could it be that this entity appeared without her knowledge?
She reached up to touch her chest; there was another person inside this body, and they were a demon? A bead of sweat trickled down Xiang Xueer's face as she struggled to accept this sudden revelation.
The Rakshasa King looked at her expression, wondering if this person really didn't know. Forget it, finding the Serpent Empress was more important. He took out a red Jade Token from his body, palm-sized, with the character 'Yan' inscribed on it, and handed it to Xiang Xueer. "This token is for you... with this token, you can freely summon my Ghost Messenger from the Underworld."
After saying that, he turned and walked towards the room. Xiang Xueer stood in place and asked, "Why do you trust me? What if I am from the Demon Realm?"
The Rakshasa King did not look back, sneering as he said, "Trusting you comes at a price. You can leave with that Exorcist, but the man named Li Yunyang must stay in my Underworld. If you do not bring back the antidote by sunset tomorrow, I will ensure he suffers eternal reincarnation in the Eighteen Layers of Hell, enduring all kinds of torture!"
"What?" Xiang Xueer shouted angrily and quickly walked towards him. "You dare to threaten me!"
The Rakshasa King glared at her furious expression, feeling he had her figured out perfectly. "Without some concern, how could you bring back the antidote with a determination to die?"
He turned and entered the room. Xiang Xueer stood still, forcibly suppressing her anger. This King of Hell was indeed not to be trifled with; if she didn't quickly capture the Serpent Empress, Li Yunyang's life would be in jeopardy.
The gate to the Underworld opened again, and Xiang Xueer and Lan Ran Qingtian emerged safely from the great door of the Underworld. Lian Cheng Xue and Platypus had been waiting there and rushed out from behind the trees when they finally saw the two.
"Sister, I missed you so much!" Stinky Duck clamped his legs together and tightly hugged Xiang Xueer's thigh, drooling all over her pants. Normally, she would have given him a punch for this behavior, but today she stood there with a worried expression, lost in thought.
"What happened?" Lian Cheng Xue asked as she noticed the troubled looks on their faces. Qingtian sighed, "Don't mention it. The Serpent Empress dug a cavern beneath the Eighteen Layers of Hell. We accidentally entered the Underworld and were imprisoned by the King of Hell in an iron cage. Unexpectedly, the King also fell victim to the Serpent Empress's poison and detained Brother Li, demanding that we bring back the antidote before sunset tomorrow; otherwise, Brother Li will never be released!"
"What?" Lian Cheng Xue and Platypus exclaimed in shock, their mouths agape. Although they had witnessed the battle between the King of Hell and Serpent Empress and saw him poisoned, they never expected it would lead to such a situation: "This is bad! We have to find the Serpent Empress before sunset tomorrow and obtain the antidote; there's simply not enough time!"
