"You... how are you? Where are you hurt?" Li Yunyang looked at her, too afraid to move, tightly closing his eyes. After a few trembles of his hands, he reached out to feel her breath and sat down on the ground: "There... there's no breath."

"Pfft!" Xiang Xueer slowly opened her eyes. She had intended to tease him and held her breath when he approached, not expecting this fool to actually believe it. She couldn't help but laugh, which caused her wounds to hurt so much that tears streamed down her face.
"Huh?" Li Yunyang blinked, looking at Xiang Xueer who suddenly opened her eyes. He immediately hugged her tightly: "Great! Great! You're not dead! You scared me to death!"
"Ah! It hurts so much! Let go of me!" Xiang Xueer screamed in agony. Was this the punishment for tricking him?
Lan Ran Qingtian and Lian Cheng Xue rushed over upon hearing the commotion. From a distance, they heard Xiang Xueer's painful cries and hurried over to see what was happening. They sighed in relief and smiled: "Great! You're okay!"

After returning to Ghost Night Village, Xiang Xueer lay in bed resting while Li Yunyang, Lian Cheng Xue, and Lan Ran Qingtian continued their efforts without relaxing, constantly seeking news about the Serpent Empress.
"How's it going?" Xiang Xueer slowly got out of bed and saw Qingtian returning in a disheveled state. She asked. Seeing this, Qingtian hurried over to support her: "Hey, don't get up; just rest!"
"Rest? I've been lying down for almost half a month! If I keep lying here, I'll become a vegetable!" Xiang Xueer reached out to touch the hard wooden board on her chest: "What have you found out?"
Qingtian helped her sit down: "I have been inquiring in the nearby village for a long time, and it is said that several young girls have gone missing in the neighboring villages these past few days!"
Young girls going missing? Xiang Xueer didn't need to guess; she knew it was the work of the Serpent Empress: "This Serpent Empress is very cunning. To maintain her human form, she has to eat the hearts of women every day. It seems she hasn't gone far."

Lian Cheng Xue walked in and gulped down a few cups of tea: "There's no time to waste; let's take action tonight!"
"Wait!" Xiang Xueer quickly interrupted their plan: "Are you saying that the three of you are going to hunt down the Serpent Empress tonight?"
"Yes!" Li Yunyang stared at the wooden board on Xiang Xueer's body and immediately shouted: "You are not going anywhere; just stay here and recover."
"I'm not going! Just thinking about that Crimson Python makes my ribs hurt!" Xiang Xueer rolled her eyes: "What I mean is, even if the three of you go together, you might not be able to defeat her."
"Really? Is this Demon that powerful?" Li Yunyang raised his Azure Dragon Sword: "I'm not afraid; killing this kind of monster is for the good of the people!"
Qingtian slowly stood up: "No, Shirley is right. The Serpent Empress is after all the master of the Ghostly Realm. We must be extremely cautious in this hunting operation."
"Hmph! Ignoring wise words will lead to trouble!" Xiang Xueer shook her head helplessly: "I don't care what you do; you decide for yourselves. If something happens, don't blame me for not warning you!"
In the evening, she lay on the bed and looked out at the sky; it was already night, and her stomach was growling: "Hey, is anyone there? Why hasn't my dinner arrived yet?"
"It's coming, it's coming." The inn's attendant pushed the door open with food in hand. Xiang Xueer frowned and asked: "Why are you here? Where are they?"
"Ah! You mean those three guests? They went out and told me to bring in the food!" The attendant replied while setting down the dishes.
"What? Those fools actually went?" Xiang Xueer sat up anxiously, touching her chest where her ribs ached faintly. Although she said that, deep down, she was still worried.
The ability of the Serpent Empress is simply unfathomable, and because she is very cunning, these three guys are all rather simple-minded. What if they end up suffering a loss?
As Xiang Xueer thought about this, she became restless and finally jumped off the bed, grabbed her weapon, and left Ghost Night Village, riding towards the nearby Shallow Bay Village.
While on her way, she took out a map to check the terrain. The distance between the two villages was quite short; it would only take about an hour to reach. When Xiang Xueer arrived at the village, it was the most bustling time, with crowds everywhere shopping and eating.

At that moment, a figure appeared in the distance. As the footsteps grew closer, Li Yunyang excitedly signaled to the other two. When the person reached the bridge, he quickly emerged from below and wrapped a strong arm tightly around the stranger's neck.
“Serpent Empress, we finally caught you!” Li Yunyang shouted angrily. Just then, Qingtian and Lian Cheng Xue jumped out from under the bridge. Upon seeing who it was, their faces instantly darkened.
“Cough cough cough!” The person being choked swiftly turned around and easily threw Li Yunyang to the ground. Dazed and seeing stars, he focused his eyes and exclaimed in shock, “Dead Girl? How is it you?”
