"Ah, I see." Xiang Xueer suddenly understood and couldn't help but feel delighted, but then she thought of the problem: "But the most important thing now is how to find the Thousand-Year Mysterious Iron?"
This brought them back to the original topic. Lian Cheng Xue kept muttering, "To forge the Thousand-Year Mysterious Iron, we must find a Meteorite!"
Meteorite, it should refer to a meteorite, Xiang Xueer thought, feeling overwhelmed. This meteorite probably wouldn't be easy to obtain!
"I got it!" Lian Cheng Xue suddenly remembered. "I know where there is a Meteorite!"
"Where?" Xiang Xueer quickly leaned in.
"Ghost Night Village!" Lian Cheng Xue recalled slowly. "I remember when I was young, there was a legend in the nearby villages about Ghost Night Village. It was said that a stone fell from the sky and created a big hole in the ground. People thought it was heaven's anger punishing them, so they devoutly built a shrine for this stone and offered incense morning and night!"
"Oh my god!" Xiang Xueer exclaimed, staring at Lian Cheng Xue. "You can't be suggesting I go steal the stone from the shrine in Ghost Night Village, right? That's their deity! If I'm caught, they'll definitely throw rotten vegetables at me until I'm dead!"
Lian Cheng Xue looked down at his injured arm and sighed with shame. "Miss Xueer, I want to help, but I'm powerless... so..."
"Alright, alright!" Xiang Xueer interrupted him. "I'll go myself; I wouldn't ask you to help when you're injured. I'm not that evil!"
Xiang Xueer glanced out the window at the sky. Qingtian had left early in the morning, and it was still relatively early now. If she set off now, she could probably steal the stone by evening.
Sigh, how did I, the Lone Wolf, end up resorting to stealing? Heaven, are you blind?
"I'm leaving now. Take care of yourself at home," Xiang Xueer said as she handed him an AK-47 and then picked up a piece of paper to draw a rough sketch. "This gun body stays with you; study it a bit. The bullet shape is roughly like this; I've marked the dimensions as well. It was made for me by Fire King before. The inside of the bullet needs Black Powder, and it should be coated with silver on the outside; you should understand this!"
After finishing her words, Xiang Xueer quickly left. Lian Cheng Xue stared at the oddly shaped AK-47 and then frowned at the drawing, feeling utterly confused. "What kind of weapon is this? Is it some kind of hidden weapon?"
Xiang Xueer rode her horse towards Ghost Night Village. It seemed her journey went smoothly; today was a market day, and there were crowds bustling through the streets with vendors calling out their wares non-stop. Naturally, there were many people offering sacrifices as well.
The shrine of the Meteorite mentioned by Lian Cheng Xue is very easy to find, located right in the busiest part of the street. The people offering incense come and go endlessly. Xiang Xueer wondered just how big that stone could be, and as soon as she entered, her eyes nearly popped out.
A black stone stood in the center of the shrine, towering at least two people high, around three meters tall. As for its weight, it must be at least a thousand pounds.
This damn Lian Cheng Xue! Why didn’t he clarify this earlier? Even if I could bring it back with a cart, I would still have to be able to carry it!
“Ah!” She sighed deeply, feeling utterly helpless. If it weren't for that idiot Li Yunyang, she wouldn't have ended up resorting to stealing stones.
“Ah-choo!” Li Yunyang sat in the exclusive suite cage on Duckbill Mountain and couldn’t help but sneeze. Rubbing his nose, he cursed angrily, “Damn it, who’s cursing me?”
Suddenly, a burst of laughter came from the entrance of the mountain. Li Yunyang looked up and saw that foolish Platypus walking in, draped in a golden cloak, proudly flaunting it around his waist and laughing wildly at him.
“It's you again, traitor!” Li Yunyang turned his head away, too lazy to deal with this heartless Stinky Duck. But that guy, wanting to show off his golden cloak, turned around and wiggled his butt while shouting, “Hey, look at my new outfit as a general! Isn’t it majestic?”
Hearing him brag like that, Li Yunyang turned to look at the cloak and his mouth dropped open in shock. Written boldly on the back were three large characters: General.
What the hell! This Duck actually had the audacity to flaunt his title on his back, afraid others wouldn’t know he got promoted. Li Yunyang frowned and asked with a conflicted expression, “Hey, Duck, are you brainless?”
Platypus immediately exploded with rage. He jumped up and down angrily, pointing at him and shouting, “How dare you call me brainless? You stupid human! If you weren’t brainless, would I have locked you in this cage? You idiot!”
“What did you say?” Li Yunyang's forehead bulged with veins as he grabbed one of Platypus's legs and pulled hard inside. “You dead Duck! If you have guts, come inside and see if I don’t pluck your feathers!”
“Ahhh!” Platypus screamed in panic as his face got stuck outside the cage while one leg was being pulled by Li Yunyang. It cried out in pain, “Someone come quick! An assassin is attacking the general!”
A group of Little Goblins rushed in upon hearing the commotion. Seeing the situation before them, they stood frozen in place looking at each other. Frustrated, Platypus yelled out, “Hurry up and open the cage! My leg is about to be torn off!”
"No way, General! The Great Yokai said that no matter what happens, we cannot let this Exorcist out!" Little Goblin hurriedly reported.
"What? I am the General! Do you mean my life doesn't matter?" Platypus howled, but the group of Little Goblins still shook their heads vigorously in response: "No way, General! We must listen to the Great Yokai!"
"Damn it, let me go!" Platypus clutched the cage tightly, screaming in pain. Li Yunyang, however, took out the Azure Dragon Sword from his back with great interest and waved it: "Shut up, you're so annoying! I'll chop off one of your legs first and see if you can still scream!"
With that, he raised the Azure Dragon Sword and aimed it directly at the Duck's leg. Before the sword even came down, the cowardly Platypus wet his pants and then slumped over, eyes rolling back as he fainted.
"Tch, coward, scared to death!" Li Yunyang disinterestedly lifted one of its legs and flung it away: "Take this dead Duck away from me; it annoys me just seeing it!"
A group of Little Goblins hurriedly dragged their General away. Li Yunyang rested his chin on his hand: "Dead Girl, what are you doing right now? Still not appearing? You haven't forgotten about me, have you?"
Xiang Xueer was waiting for nightfall. She had heard from Li Yunyang and Lan Ran Qingtian that in Ghost Night Village, every household closed their doors early at night. If that was the case, this ancestral hall would be no exception; it would be the best time for her to take action.
As she expected, by afternoon, fewer and fewer people were in the market. By evening, most hotels began to close down, and nearly everyone had left the ancestral hall.
While munching on a steamed bun, Xiang Xueer glanced at the sky, then took a big gulp of tea. Standing up and stretching her back to loosen her muscles, she said: "I've eaten and drunk enough; it's time to get to work!"
She quickly walked into the ancestral hall. The door opened easily with a gentle push; there was no one around—not even a guard. Xiang Xueer looked up at the giant stone and felt frustrated. What method could she use to move this stone? She didn't have any Thousand-Year Mysterious Iron to cut it apart; Xiang Xueer felt completely helpless.
She stood there contemplating for a long time before shaking her head: "This won't do; it seems I need to find some help!"
