"Shut your mouth; no one thinks you're mute!" Xiang Xueer scolded angrily but then suddenly felt weak in her legs and fainted.
"Miss Jiao Rong!" Lan Ran Qingtian quickly caught her as she collapsed against his broad chest. He looked down at her pale face and hurriedly took out a small bottle from his pocket, anxiously asking, "Are you okay?"
Xiang Xueer felt weak and dizzy but managed to keep her mind clear enough to shake her head: "I'm fine, I'm fine. Quickly find a doctor! I saw that liquid in Hellhound's mouth; it must be poisonous!"
Seeing their intimate actions, Li Yunyang scrambled up from the ground, his legs no longer hurting or wobbling. He rushed over, pushed Qingtian aside, and picked up Xiang Xueer to carry her into the market: "You don’t need to worry about it; I’ll take care of my wife!"
Qingtian stood there for a moment holding the small bottle before quickly following behind. They arrived at a nearby clinic where the doctor checked her pulse and examined her wound. He said, "It's just a fever; that's easy to treat. I'll prescribe some medicine. However, this wound has poison in it, which is difficult to handle because we don't know what kind of poison it is. The antidote won't be easy to prepare!"
Li Yunyang became anxious upon hearing this and shouted, "What do you mean? You need to save her quickly! If she dies, I'll make sure you pay for it!"
He dragged the doctor into a never-ending commotion. The doctor shouted anxiously, "Oh dear, I say, young man, you are making it impossible for me! This is clearly the poison of a demon beast, but I don't know which one unless there is 'Bear Gall Poisonous Herb'!"
"'Bear Gall Poisonous Herb' can detoxify?" Li Yunyang released the doctor and said, "This is a sacred antidote; just one drop can neutralize a hundred poisons. It's not easy to obtain, not easy at all!"

Qingtian's face broke into a bright smile. Xiang Xueer slowly closed her eyes: "Ah, you are truly my lucky star! Every time I'm in trouble or danger, it's always you who saves my life. Are you my guardian angel sent by God?"
"What God? What angel!" Li Yunyang glared at Qingtian with extreme displeasure. Ever since this guy appeared, everything seemed better than him—his skills were superior, he was more handsome than him, and even his sidekick was a Lion-Hybrid and the tenth of Saint Ten. It was obvious he was deliberately trying to put him down in front of her.
Lan Ran Qingtian's Bear Gall Poisonous Herb Juice was very effective. Xiang Xueer only needed to drink one drop to feel her wound starting to hurt less. She got up and looked at the wound on her arm; it finally began to show signs of healthy skin color as the black poison gradually receded.
"Ah!" Xiang Xueer's complexion finally looked much better. She turned to Qingtian and smiled sweetly: "Thank you so much, Qingtian! I always worry you have to take care of me!"
Li Yunyang shot her a sideways glance at her flirtatious face, grinding his teeth in frustration. This Dead Girl was flirting right in front of him; it made him furious.
While he was fuming, Lan Ran Qingtian really didn't know how to read the room and handed the medicine bottle to Li Yunyang: "I see you're injured too; you should apply some medicine. Look at your entire leg; it's all black."
"Ah?" Li Yunyang looked down and saw that indeed, after carrying Xiang Xueer for quite a distance earlier, the poison had spread even faster now; his entire calf had turned black.
Li Yunyang turned to glance at Qingtian, feeling extremely dissatisfied as he stretched out his hand. In the end, he turned around and ran outside, angrily shouting, "I don't want your medicine!"

As she searched along the roadside while asking around, she got tired and sat down at a tea stall to have a drink. Nearby, she heard several elderly people talking mysteriously by a vegetable stall.

Another old man with a white beard was even more eccentric; he picked up a carrot and placed it on his head: "I've seen it! It has a horn on its head, and its teeth are so big they could scare anyone to death!"
"Stop talking nonsense!" The Vegetable Vendor snatched the carrot from his hands and laughed, "You old man really tells tall tales without any preparation. If you had seen the Taotie, you would have been eaten by now and wouldn't be alive to tell the tale."
Taotie? What is that? A magical beast? Xiang Xueer listened to their descriptions and became increasingly interested. She thought that this Taotie must be a magical beast and certainly of a high level. So she stepped forward and asked, "Excuse me, sir, where exactly can we find this Taotie?"
The old man looked her up and down for a while, stroked his goat-like beard, and grunted for some time: "This Taotie is an ancient divine beast. It is said that whatever it sees, it eats. Its appetite is enormous, and it especially loves to eat humans. Many people in our village have already died; it's said they were all eaten by the Taotie!"
"Eating people!" Xiang Xueer pouted after hearing this. A monster that eats people? Wow, that sounds thrilling! If I could get a Taotie as a mount instead of Lion-Hybrid, wouldn't that be impressive? Then I could retrieve the Azure Wind Sword and see if Ouyang Zhentian dares to say anything.
While she was calculating in her mind, she turned her head and spotted Li Yunyang sitting on the edge of a dry well in the alley across from her, resting his chin in his hand and sulking.
