Here it comes again. I will definitely never get to be with a handsome man in this lifetime. Xiang Xueer tightly gripped his salty hand, quickly turned around, and mounted the horse. The two finally left Illusion City and headed towards their next destination. 0

"Exorcism Village!" Li Yunyang had been studying the map for a long time. He stroked his chin, slapped his thigh, and exclaimed, "Ah, I know about Exorcism Village! It's a village dedicated to slaying demons and exorcising evil spirits. It is said that everyone in the village, young and old, can exorcise demons. They are really impressive!" 0

"Hmm? Is that true?" Xiang Xueer seemed quite interested upon hearing this. She raised her whip and urged the horse to go faster; they would definitely reach this place within three days. 0

Finally, on the second day, Xiang Xueer sat on the horse with a dark expression, her arms crossed over her chest as she glared at Li Yunyang and scolded, "I say, are you sure this is the right route? Why have we been wandering around here for a whole day and still haven't moved from this spot?" 0

Li Yunyang stubbornly held onto his ground, flipping through the map in his hands. Upon hearing Xiang Xueer's complaints, he shouted back, "Who says we're still in the same spot? You just don't know the way!" 0

It was only when faced with reality that one would realize the truth. Xiang Xueer pointed at a banana peel on the ground with her finger. "The banana peel I threw three hours ago is still here. Did it grow legs and run away?" 0

Li Yunyang glanced at the banana peel and suddenly found himself at a loss for words. Xiang Xueer sighed and looked around for a moment. The sun was setting in the west while they were heading south. Wait a minute, their direction was correct; why were they still stuck here? 0

Suddenly, Xiang Xueer felt something was off. She turned to look at the darkening night sky; all around them were dense thickets of bushes, and there was a faint mist rising from beneath their feet. It was imperceptible during the day but began to manifest as evening approached. 0

"There are demons!" Xiang Xueer's first reaction was this; it seemed likely that they were trapped in this circle due to some demon's interference. 0

Her words immediately alerted Li Yunyang. He cautiously scanned their surroundings and then wrinkled his nose as he sniffed the air for a long time before shaking his head and saying, "I can't smell any demons; this is really strange!" 0

Could it be that even his keen nose couldn't detect anything? What kind of monster could be so powerful? Xiang Xueer couldn't help but feel worried; nightfall was approaching quickly. They still had some advantages now, but once night fell, they could be attacked at any moment. At that point, forget about offense; just defending themselves would be quite challenging. 0

"We need to find an exit quickly," Xiang Xueer said as she began surveying the terrain while riding her horse slowly forward. Observing the rising mist, she knew they had to be extremely cautious. 0

Xiang Xueer took out the Crossbow from her back and readied herself for battle. For over an hour, she kept scanning her surroundings as darkness deepened. However, no matter which direction they took, it seemed like they were caught in a loop, always returning to that banana peel's location. 0

"What is going on? How could this happen!" Li Yunyang, unable to contain his impatient temper, finally exploded. Xiang Xueer took a deep breath and jumped down from her horse. "No need to go any further; it seems someone wants to keep us here. No matter how we try to leave, we won't be able to." 0

Upon hearing this, Li Yunyang quickly jumped off his horse and asked, "What should we do then? We can't just wander around this forest forever. When will we be able to get out?" 0

Xiang Xueer smiled slightly, the cold air carrying a scent reminiscent of Camphor Tree. She understood assassination and knew that the sap from such trees often indicated the presence of chronic Demons; anyone who inhaled it would inevitably experience hallucinations. 0

"Let's wait. I believe something will come looking for us soon," Xiang Xueer said as she found a sturdy tree and sat down beside it, taking out water and rations to eat slowly. The horse was also given water and wandered off to graze. 0

Li Yunyang, with his terrible temper, paced back and forth nearby. Watching the sky gradually darken, he became increasingly anxious and exclaimed, "I say, Dead Girl, why aren't you worried at all? It's getting dark!" 0

Xiang Xueer leaned against the tree with her arms crossed over her chest, closing her eyes to rest. Hearing him complain, she slowly opened her eyes and calmly replied, "Pighead, if I were you, I'd hurry up and eat well while there's still some light!" 0

"What do you mean?" He looked around and sniffed the air for a long time. "But I don't smell any demons at all!" 0

"Hmph!" Xiang Xueer snorted coldly. The world is vast and full of wonders; any demon could easily evade Li Yunyang's nose. Ever since she became an assassin, she realized that in this world there are only two outcomes: kill or be killed. 0

She slowly picked up the water bottle lying on the ground and tossed it into Li Yunyang's hands with a 'thud'. "Stop the nonsense; listen to me. Eat and drink well now; tonight is crucial. If we're not careful, our lives could be at stake!" 0

Since meeting Xiang Xueer, Li Yunyang had transformed from a useless girl who knew nothing into an Exorcist capable of handling herself. Her potential was far beyond what he had anticipated; just along their journey, he had witnessed her exorcism abilities firsthand. She could instinctively sense danger. 0

Thus, he obediently sat down beside her, following Xiang Xueer's advice to eat and drink well. After they finished, both leaned against the tree and closed their eyes to rest. About two hours later, Xiang Xueer opened her eyes again. She looked up at the moonlight; it seemed to be past ten o'clock at night. 0

She stood up and glanced around before lighting a campfire with a fire starter. Since they were already being watched, there was no point in hiding their presence any longer. 0

"Um?" At this moment, Li Yunyang heard the noise and woke up. Looking at the rising campfire, he asked, "What's going on? Is there any movement?" 0

"Not yet, but from now on, we will take turns patrolling!" Xiang Xueer said as she picked up the Crossbow to start the first round. The surroundings were eerily quiet, not even a bird or insect could be heard. 0

Just then, a rustling sound came from behind. She quickly turned around, raising her AK47 and preparing to aim, only to see that it was the idiot Li Yunyang grinning and saying, "Don't... don't... it's me!" 0

Xiang Xueer squinted at Li Yunyang and scolded, "What are you doing? Didn't I tell you to stay put? Why are you running around? Are you looking for death?" 0

Li Yunyang stared at the thick barrel of her gun. He knew being hit by that thing was no joke, so he shook his head vigorously and said, "I wasn't running around! I really need to pee!" 0

"Tch!" Xiang Xueer slowly lowered her gun, giving him a fierce glare while pointing to a distant bush. "Go, get far away! Don't let your urine smell come over here!" 0

"Hmph!" Li Yunyang sulked and pushed her gun aside angrily before stomping into the bushes. He muttered under his breath, "What a shrew! I'll get rid of you sooner or later!" 0

Xiang Xueer turned back to the tree where she had been sitting and prepared to rest for a while. Suddenly, strange sounds came from the forest to her left. 0

"Hehehe!" A series of childlike laughter echoed through the woods. Xiang Xueer quickly stood up, wondering if it was Li Yunyang. But he shouldn't be that crazy; he wouldn't laugh while peeing. 0

"Hehehe!" The laughter filled the entire forest and gradually became clearer. Xiang Xueer looked around and raised her gun as she walked toward the sound. 0

"Coocoo, coocoo!" It sounded like a cuckoo bird, as if a group was whispering among themselves. As Xiang Xueer watched the thick fog around her grow denser, she felt a sudden shock and quickly raised her gun, loading the bullets. 0
