"I'm not in the mood!" Sima Zhao glanced over and said, "Then why don't you go? Just standing here enjoying the breeze!" 0

Xiang Xueer initially wanted to say that it was a place for kids, but after thinking it over, she decided against it and shrugged her shoulders, "It's too noisy; I prefer quiet!" 0

The two of them chatted back and forth. Not far outside the courtyard, a figure swayed atop the high tower. Under the moonlight, it appeared particularly eerie. 0

"Hmm? What a lively scene!" The small figure stood steadily at the top, looking down at the entire street and Illusion City. Then, he formed a circle with his fingers in front of his eyes. His large eyes suddenly flashed with a cold gleam as he began searching for his prey. 0

After circling around above, he suddenly focused his gaze on the backyard of Sima Manor. A crescent-like icy smile immediately appeared on his lips as he chuckled, "Hehehe, found it, found it!" 0

After a series of laughs, he leaped down, cutting through the black night sky in an arc. In a flash, he circled around the low courtyard wall and landed lightly in the shadows at the base of the wall. 0

Inside the courtyard, as the two were chatting, Xiang Xueer suddenly sensed a wave of Killing Intent behind her. She quickly turned around, shielding Sima Zhao behind her. Crouching down, she drew a dagger from her ankle. 0

"Who goes there!" she shouted angrily, her posture shifting into one ready for both attack and defense. Her leopard-like hunting eyes fixed intently on the small figure in the shadows. 0

Clap! Clap! Clap! Sounds of applause echoed from the dark corner of the wall. Then, feet slowly emerged from the shadows. At the boundary between darkness and light, a pair of devilish Azure Orchid eyes flashed momentarily as the person stepped into view under the moonlight. 0

Xiang Xueer squinted at the unexpected visitor before her, slowly revealing an angry expression at the corners of her mouth: "Hmph, it's you? Long time no see, Heart Demon!" 0

"Heart Demon?" Sima Zhao, hiding behind Xiang Xueer, scrutinized the petite figure in front of him. Judging by age, this child seemed even younger than Xiang Xueer. From his perfect appearance, it was clear that this so-called demon had evolved into a nearly human form. 0

At this moment, Heart Demon took a slow step forward. Xiang Xueer immediately became alert, pointing her blade directly at his nose: "Don't come any closer; take another step and we'll be at war!" 0

Xiang Xueer assessed her unique combat range; it wasn't that she was afraid of him. Last time this little brat disguised himself as her father and almost got away with it. Just talking about his abilities could probably lead to trouble... 0

"Ha ha ha!" The Heart Demon suddenly laughed, stretched out both hands and shrugged, saying, "Don't be so nervous, I'm not planning to kill you, so relax!" 0

"Hmph!" Xiang Xueer glanced sideways at Sima Zhao behind her, then turned her gaze back to the Heart Demon and said firmly, "You need to leave quickly; I can't fight with you here!" 0

Sima Zhao immediately understood. Although he didn't quite grasp the situation, he turned around and reminded her, "Shirley, be careful. I'm going to find Li Yunyang!" 0

Watching Sima Zhao run off, Xiang Xueer finally felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She slowly straightened up and looked at the Heart Demon, who seemed to have no intention of attacking. "Why are you here? What do you want?" 0

The Heart Demon pouted, slowly crossing his arms over his chest and smiling. "Actually, it's nothing serious. I just wanted to see if you were still alive!" 0

"Hmm?" Xiang Xueer recalled the Water Lily demon from before; wasn't she incited by the Heart Demon? This seemingly young demon was far from simple and appeared quite scheming. 0

"Speak! What exactly is your purpose?" Xiang Xueer's eagle-like eyes pierced him with Killing Intent, provoking the Heart Demon to burst into laughter. "Hahaha! You're really something! Didn't I say I'm not here to cause trouble?" 0

"Oh? Not here to cause trouble?" This made things even more interesting. Xiang Xueer slightly lowered the dagger in her hand and stared at him intently. "Then this is interesting; you shameless demon came to see me just for a chat? Don't make me laugh!" 0

"Of course not!" The smile on the Heart Demon's face gradually darkened as he slowly said, "I was just ordered by a certain lord to come and give you a warning!" 0

This statement left Xiang Xueer even more puzzled. Before she could ask for clarification, the Heart Demon vanished in a gust of wind beneath his feet. She widened her eyes in shock; the spot where he had stood was already empty. Looking up, she saw that the Heart Demon had leaped onto the wall, his small figure contrasting beautifully with the crescent moon behind him. 0

"The Demon Lord commands me to tell you that he will be waiting for you in the Demon Prison Tower!" The Heart Demon let out a sharp howl before disappearing into the night. Xiang Xueer stood there with her brows tightly furrowed, staring at the gradually fading figure, completely unable to comprehend the meaning of his words. 0

Demon Lord? Demon Prison Tower? Xiang Xueer felt restless in her heart; what did this Heart Demon mean? He wouldn't go out of his way just to say such a thing. Thus, she began to analyze his words piece by piece. 0

At that moment, a familiar roar erupted not far away: "I am the chief disciple of the current Holy Ten Exorcists, Feng Qingyang: Li Yunyang, Heart Demon, come out and see how I will take you down!" 0

This idiot! Xiang Xueer's train of thought was abruptly interrupted by the fool who rushed out. She took a deep breath, turned around, and left. Li Yunyang charged into the courtyard but found nothing; Heart Demon had long since vanished. He blinked and asked her, "Hey? Where's Heart Demon?" 0

Xiang Xueer shot him a disdainful glare: "It left ages ago. Did you think it was waiting for you to save me? The food is already cold; it’s too late!" 0

"It left?" Li Yunyang looked around in shock, sniffing the air for a long time. Indeed, there was no trace of the Demon. He became even more puzzled: "No way, could it have run away because it was scared I was coming?" 0

"Ugh, you really have thick skin!" Xiang Xueer muttered a few words and patted Sima Zhao, who had hurriedly followed behind Li Yunyang: "Little guy, you should talk to him less in the future. Be careful; his stupidity might rub off on you!" 0

"Oh!" Sima Zhao nodded, somewhat understanding. The two ignored Li Yunyang, who was left shouting alone: "Hey, you two don’t stand so close! Men and women shouldn’t be too familiar! Hey, can you hear me when I’m talking?" 0

This day marked the last day in Illusion City. Xiang Xueer thought about how she needed to set off tomorrow, so she went to bed early. She took out the map in her hand and looked at it: "Next stop, Exorcism Village!" 0

Exorcism Village, located nearly 100 kilometers away from here, meant she would need to prepare horses for tomorrow. As she continued looking at the map, she grew increasingly drowsy and soon fell into a deep sleep. 0

Running, running, running fast; there was not a glimmer of light in the night. Dark clouds obscured the entire sky without revealing any brightness. Xiang Xueer felt as if she were flying down a chaotic little path. 0

Where is this? She felt her legs completely unresponsive to her commands as she continued to run wildly for no apparent reason. With every step she took, she sensed a chilling aura in the surrounding air that made her spine tingle with fear, causing goosebumps all over her body. 0

What kind of place is this? Xiang Xueer was almost suffocating from running when suddenly she looked up. The sight before her nearly took her breath away—a suspension bridge appeared ahead, with a thick chain extending across to the other side, disappearing from view. In the distance stood a tall black tower looming ominously on the opposite bank, reaching high into the dark clouds like a towering inferno. Surrounding it were countless black bats and crows that made the already dark sky seem even more sinister and bloody. 0
