The spaceship's hull cracked open, revealing a massive exit, and forty-eight Fighter Jets took off, sweeping through like a storm!
Ziyu, piloting one of the Fighter Jets, was naturally among them.
"Zero, calculate the trajectory and switch to manual control," Ziyu began to operate on his own.
After all, human driving is inherently more adaptable than that of Intelligence.
"A desolate planet ahead has a Cosmic Life form belonging to the Sky Beast race. The strength of the Sky Beast is unknown, but its estimated size is about five hundred meters," Zero reported the known data.
"Given this situation, how many Sky Beasts should there be in the Thirty-Sixth Area?" Ziyu asked.
"Unknown. The Sky Beasts seem to have strong concealment abilities, so there could be many," Zero couldn't confirm.
Ziyu nodded; it seemed this mission was indeed not simple.
"Sir, we can conduct a probing attack first, but it may alert the Sky Beast."
"Let's wait for the captain's strategy," Ziyu took a deep breath.
"All team members, activate stealth systems," Captain Yuming began issuing orders. "Then activate communication systems to avoid accidentally harming our hidden teammates."
"Everyone surround this Sky Beast and stand by."
This Sky Beast appeared to be resting... lying alone on the surface of a planet.
The form of the Sky Beast resembled the Qilin from Earth's mythology but had a long tail extending from its rear, much longer than that of a Qilin.
The Sky Beast was covered in scales and had an exoskeleton that looked extremely hard; this might be why it could survive in a vacuum.
"Preparation complete." Everyone surrounded the Sky Beast, which still remained unaware, lying on the ground.
"Begin attacking simultaneously... five... four... three..." Yuming counted down.
"We might have underestimated this thing's intelligence..." Ziyu frowned and said.
A Cosmic Life that lives in a vacuum, and it doesn't even notice when a large spaceship flies by?
Let's say that sound cannot travel in the vacuum of space; then this Cosmic Life should have other protective measures in place.
"Three... two... one... launch!" With Yuming's command, all the members of the Squad pressed their buttons!
As Ziyu had anticipated, when all the Squad members simultaneously launched their Laser attacks, the Sky Beast instantly opened its eyes, leaping upward and pouncing on one of the team members.
All the Laser attacks hit the spot where the Sky Beast had originally been.
Only the attack from the teammate who was pounced on struck the Sky Beast, but according to data transmitted from the Fighter Jet, the Sky Beast did not suffer significant damage.
A single Laser merely caused a minor injury to the Sky Beast.
As the Sky Beast lunged forward, that teammate naturally had to dodge, and surprisingly, the Sky Beast was not specifically targeting anyone; it simply took advantage of the opening and ran away.
"Uh... this..." Ziyu knew that if killing the Sky Beast were that easy, it wouldn't be a mission assigned to the Core Group.
"Is that blood?" Many people noticed what was on the Ground where the Sky Beast had been resting, and so did Ziyu.
The surface was not like other areas covered in sand but rather some blue liquid that appeared to be blood.
It's actually not surprising for blood to be blue; there are many creatures on Earth with blue blood, such as shrimp.
"Go down and investigate, but be careful." Yuming also descended from the spaceship, wearing vacuum-proof armor and equipped with a Thruster.
"Everyone wait a moment, I'll go." Ziyu stepped out from the Fighter Jet, fully clad in his Battle Armor.
Now in the real external environment, Ziyu could finally use his skills... His Battle Armor technology had been continuously improved and now integrated many advancements.
Ziyu signaled for everyone to return, taking on the risk himself.
"Really, just go back. I'll handle this myself; if anything goes wrong, our whole Squad will be done for..." Ziyu said with a smile. "I have my own precautions; nothing will happen."
"Everyone, recall your Fighter Jets and trust Ziyu." Yuming hesitated for a long time before finally agreeing.
Ziyu's Nuclear Propulsion device activated, instantly accelerating to the surface of the planet, stopping next to the blue liquid.
From the Fighter Jet, it didn't seem like there was much blue liquid, but as Ziyu approached, he realized that the area of this blue liquid could definitely be considered a lake.
"There are currently no abnormal conditions... I will attempt to collect some liquid samples," Ziyu said cautiously, then extended a bit of his Battle Armor to touch the blue liquid.
"Hiss..." The indestructible Mysterious Metal began to emit a hissing vibration, which transmitted through the solid Battle Armor to Ziyu's ears. Ziyu was startled and quickly retracted it, only to find upon careful inspection that the metal had not been corroded.
"Ziyu, what's wrong?" Yuming observed the situation and noticed Ziyu's retraction.
"Nothing much, this liquid is a bit strange and startled me, but there is no significant damage so far," Ziyu said as he reached his hand back into the liquid, this time leaving it submerged.
"Hiss... Hiss... Hiss..." The vibrations reaching Ziyu's ears grew more intense, and the sounds became louder.
"Come out!" As Ziyu tried to withdraw the metal, he found there was some resistance.
"Fortunately, nothing serious." With great effort, Ziyu pulled the metal out of the liquid; it remained intact.
"A simple test shows no severe corrosiveness, but it's a bit odd. Captain, should we take a sample?" Ziyu asked.
"Take some back to the Mother Ship. I'll have Intelligence conduct tests. The other Squad members should search this planet for that Sky Beast we encountered earlier," Yuming instructed.
Ziyu shaped part of his Battle Armor's palm into a small spoon and collected some liquid to send back to the Mother Ship.
"Place it here," Yuming said, pointing to a tray.
This was the testing and research area, mostly automated.
"Okay..." Ziyu relaxed his palm, allowing the liquid to flow down naturally...
"Hissssss..." The intense hissing sound was very noticeable in the air; almost instantly, the liquid began to evaporate.
"How could it have leaked?" Yuming widened his eyes.
The liquid had just touched the tray and began to corrode it... and now it was corroding all the way down.
"Oh no, the air will leak!" Ziyu quickly reminded Yuming.
"Whoa..." The moment the internal space connected to the vacuum, the pressure caused the air to almost instantly dissipate.
"Mother Ship repairing..."
Soon after, the spaceship's automatic repair system fixed the ship again.
The automatic repair used spare materials to fix the ship, but it wasn't unlimited or random repairs.
"Why is your Battle Armor fine?" Yuming frowned at Ziyu.
Ziyu had initially brought it back with his hands, and Yuming had seen it clearly.
"I... I don't know either..." Ziyu didn't expect it to turn out this way.
