"Commander, give me a Grenade Launcher." Ziyu walked directly towards a guy holding a Grenade Launcher. "This one will do."
Ziyu took the Grenade Launcher, fully loaded with ammunition, and leaped into the air, spinning around.
"Boom!" Ziyu fired at the Ground, awakening the surrounding Zombies.
"Boom!" Soon after, Ziyu detonated another explosion slightly further ahead.
"Boom!" "Boom!"...
Ziyu's Grenade Launcher fired repeatedly at the Ground, each shot landing closer to the center area... After finishing this street, he moved on to blow up another one.
Almost all the Zombies were drawn to the sound, converging in a plaza at the center of the blockade.
"Attention survivors in this area, I am about to conduct a Laser sweep. Please move underground to safety. Once this is over, you will be saved!" Ziyu announced through a loudspeaker from above.
In fact, Ziyu could wait for the police's strongest forces to arrive and let them handle this final task, but he also wanted to test what kind of impact a strike with nearly thirty percent of all Battle Armor's energy could achieve.
Ziyu minimized energy consumption and fired a shot toward the center of the plaza while hovering low above it.
"Come on, come on, I'll wipe you out." Ziyu whispered as he watched the Zombies slowly gather below.
"Sir, the communication system has received a Signal," Zero reported.
"My friend, I believe you are disrupting my plans," a man's voice echoed. "Trust me, I'm watching you."
"Zero, trace the source of Signal," Ziyu said, "The big fish behind the scenes has arrived."
Ziyu had long suspected that this incident was not a spontaneous event; it had always been part of a plan.
Months ago, the small town was filled with chilling howls, similar to the roars of Zombie. Ziyu speculated that these must be the sounds of Zombie trapped.
When Zombie is confined in a limited space and struggles to escape, it emits such sounds.
Thus, the faint howls in the small town were not due to hauntings but rather because someone was conducting live experiments! This incident was a large-scale experiment!
"The source of Signal has been located, and we are requesting to establish real-time communication."
"My friend, it seems your methods are indeed superior to those of the police," the voice echoed again. He initially released a segment of dialogue to test if Ziyu could follow the Signal to find him.
"We can cooperate; this technology poses a threat to all humanity and will certainly elevate our status," the man said.
"I'm sorry, I'm not interested... What I want to say is that those Zombie, this plan has already affected my friends, so I won't let it continue," Ziyu replied.
"Sir, we have tracked down the specific target." A map appeared on the display of the Battle Armor Helmet, marking a location as the source of Signal.
"Alright, I don't want to talk to you any longer. Goodbye." Ziyu disconnected.
Just as Ziyu was worried about how to find the instigator behind this matter, they unexpectedly revealed themselves first.
Below, the Zombies began to stack up, layer by layer, in order to catch Ziyu, quickly reaching a height of four stories.
Ziyu looked around and saw that there were no more Zombies coming to this place.
"Alright, let's get started." Ziyu turned his body, discarded the Grenade Launcher, and began to ascend.
"Battle Armor Energy output, leave one percent of energy as insurance." Ziyu extended both hands, and the Laser Emitter on his hands began to spin, adjust, and finally charge.
"Boom!"
A beam of light as thick as an arm shot out from Ziyu's hand, piercing through the Zombies' bodies layer by layer until it finally hit the ground.
"Turn a bit~" Ziyu adjusted the direction of his hand, and the Laser beam began to deviate, sweeping across the area.
"Wow, this is really effective." Ziyu gritted his teeth and started drawing patterns on the ground, creating circles that were stained red with Zombie blood.
"Sir, there is still five percent of Battle Armor Energy left. It is estimated that we cannot completely eliminate the Zombies." The Laser consumed a massive amount of energy; although its penetrating power was strong, its range was limited and not suitable for large-scale attacks.
"Stop for now and blow them up." Ziyu ceased the attack as only a small number of Zombies remained.
Even though it was a small number, it was still over a hundred in total.
Ziyu dove down, picked up the Grenade Launcher he had just discarded, and began bombarding the densely packed Zombies.
"Ye Ling, tell the officer to strengthen the defense. I led the last twenty or so Zombies into the blockade zone and let them get killed. I've run out of ammunition and energy," Ziyu said, having dealt with most of the Zombies but still falling short.
"Yes... The officer said it's fine; they have already heightened their alert," Ye Ling replied.
Ziyu couldn't contact the officer directly, so he had to rely on Ye Ling, who was next to him.
"They're coming!" A vigilant soldier spotted Ziyu, and soon after, the twenty or so Zombies following Ziyu appeared as well.
It was almost instantaneous; a barrage of bullets rained down on the Zombies from a group of soldiers, taking them out on the spot.
"Mr. Ziyu, thank you so much for your help this time..." the officer said warmly.
"It's nothing... At first, I just wanted to save her," Ziyu replied, looking at Ye Ling, who smiled slightly.
"Let's go!" Ziyu took Ye Ling's hand and started walking out. "By the way, officer, it's better not to let your guard down. I suggest you double-check everything."
"All squads, conduct a rapid area check to ensure that all Infected Entities have been completely eliminated!"
"Received!"
"Received!"
Just as Ziyu walked a short distance away, the officer ordered the nearby squad and reported to other officers as well.
“Ziyu, do you think that during the review, someone might get attacked by a Zombie and then it spreads again?” Ye Ling laughed.
“They can't be that foolish, right…” Ziyu's expression was quite strange.
If that really happened and it spread again, it would probably cause widespread panic.
“This incident has already attracted national attention. As the pacifier, you will definitely become the focus…” Ye Ling hugged one of Ziyu's arms, “Then I'll be the girlfriend of a hero~”

Ziyu disliked overly crowded places the most; they were too chaotic and messy.
Ziyu tightened his hold on Ye Ling and shot into the sky with a loud shout from Ye Ling, shaking off all the people behind them.
“Ye Ling, next, I'm going to find the organization to resolve some family disputes…”
