"Let's go! We'll hail a taxi outside to head back!" Jiang Jun had already thought of how to punish Zhang Lin and the others, so he decided not to discuss it any further.
The three of them walked outside the hotel, ready to flag down a cab when an Audi pulled up in front of them. The window rolled down, revealing Gao Tianqi.
"Director Jiang, is that you? Let me give you a ride!"
"Sure, thank you, Mr. Gao!"
Inside the car, Jiang Jun introduced them to each other.
"Mr. Gao, please drop Teacher Gong off at Ningzhou Middle School first, then take Lin Jingzhu back to her place, and finally drop me off," Jiang Jun said to Gao Tianqi after the introductions.
"Okay." Although Gao Tianqi harbored resentment towards Jiang Jun, he couldn't help but be polite for some reason—perhaps he had learned about Jiang Jun's capabilities from his son, Gao Wenbin.
After returning to their residence, Jiang Jun called Old Qin to ask if he knew the principal of Ningzhou Middle School.
"Hua Dongfang from Ningzhou Middle School? Of course I know him. Xiao Jun, do you need something from him?" Old Qin chuckled over the phone.
"I have a matter I'd like to trouble Principal Hua with. I was hoping you could speak to him on my behalf."
"Oh? What is it?"
"Last night at your Chamber of Commerce Hotel, I ran into Zhang Lin, the General Affairs Director of Ningzhou Middle School, who was treating a few teachers to dinner. One of the teachers was surnamed Gong, someone I know. During dinner, Zhang Lin and the others made excuses to leave one by one, leaving Teacher Gong to foot the bill. Is someone like that fit to be a school leader?"
"Really? How do you know this? Do you have any evidence?" Old Qin sounded somewhat skeptical.
"I do. I'll send it to you!" Jiang Jun hung up and sent Old Qin photos of Zhang Lin's reservation at the Chamber of Commerce Hotel and footage of Zhang Lin leaving the hotel alone.
"This is outrageous!"
After reviewing the photos, Old Qin felt furious and called Jiang Jun back. "Xiao Jun! I'll make sure Hua Dongfang addresses this matter."
"Thank you so much, Old Qin!"
The next day, a notice was posted on Ningzhou Middle School's bulletin board stating that Zhang Lin had been relieved of his duties as General Affairs Director, though no specific reasons were given.
Jiang Jun learned about the outcome from Old Qin, who also mentioned that Principal Hua had assured him of two things: first, that those teachers would not be reused in the future; second, that Zhang Lin's position would temporarily be filled by the deputy director until after the college entrance exams when the deputy would be promoted and Teacher Gong would become the new Deputy General Affairs Director!
Hua Dongfang's actions undoubtedly suggested that he believed Teacher Gong had some connection with Old Qin; otherwise, why would Old Qin speak up for him? As President of the Southeast Province Chamber of Commerce and a major benefactor of Ningzhou Middle School, Old Qin was someone Hua Dongfang needed to please.
Seeing Teacher Gong so young being promoted to a school leadership position made Jiang Jun happy for him! Good people shouldn't suffer losses, especially those who treat him well!
That night, just as Jiang Jun was getting ready for bed, his phone rang.
"Hello? Is this Jiang Jun? We have your girlfriend. Don't you want to come save her?" came a strange male voice.
"You've got the wrong person; I don't have a girlfriend!" Jiang Jun was about to hang up!
"No girlfriend? Listen to her voice!"
"Jiang Jun, come save me!" It was Lin Jingzhu's voice.
"What do you think, Jiang Jun? With such a beautiful girlfriend, if you're willing to let us have some fun with her, then maybe you won't need to come!"
What the hell! Who are these people? Are they looking for death?
"What do you want? Where are you?"
"What do we want? You'll find out when you get here. We're at Xiaoshan Park." The man hung up.
Damn it! How could they kidnap Lin Jingzhu? Even though he no longer considered her his girlfriend, he still had to go save her.
Was Lin Jingzhu part of a play directed by someone? It was possible.
Ten minutes later, Jiang Jun arrived. This was a place Jiang Jun was quite familiar with. He quickly found Lin Jingzhu's location. She was indeed bound hand and foot, with a towel stuffed in her mouth. Upon seeing Jiang Jun, she became agitated but could only make muffled sounds.
There were only two guards watching over Lin Jingzhu, one tall and one short, dressed like company security. They were quite surprised by Jiang Jun's appearance.
"Hey, kid, what are you doing here at this hour? Get lost!" They didn’t recognize Jiang Jun.
"Weren't you the ones who called me here? I'm Jiang Jun! I'm giving you both a chance to let this lady go, and I won't hold it against you. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude." Jiang Jun assessed that the two didn’t seem like criminals and didn’t want to hurt them.
"What? You’re Jiang Jun? How did you get here so fast? Don’t you see what we’re doing? You’re just a kid who looks like a scholar, completely defenseless, and you think you can boss us around? If you beg us nicely, we might consider it!"
"If you don’t want the chance I’m giving you, then don’t blame me!" As soon as Jiang Jun finished speaking, both guards fell to the ground with a thud.
"Ouch!" They cried out in pain, not even understanding how Jiang Jun had struck them.
Jiang Jun tore the towel from Lin Jingzhu's mouth and untied her ropes.
"Jiang Jun!" Lin Jingzhu wanted to throw herself into his arms and cry, but he blocked her with his arm.
"Thank you!" Unable to act spoiled, she settled for being polite.
"What happened?" Jiang Jun didn’t want to waste time.
Lin Jingzhu explained the situation. Earlier that evening, she had gone out looking for a place to have dinner when she ran into Gao Tianqi. Gao Tianqi had driven her home before and knew she was the beautiful girl his son was pursuing. This time, he said he was going to visit his son Gao Wenbin in the hospital and asked Lin Jingzhu to join him.
Although Lin Jingzhu had a bad impression of Gao Wenbin, she felt it necessary to see him since he was in the hospital because of her. So she got into Gao Tianqi's car. However, instead of going to the hospital, Gao Tianqi stopped at a hotel next to it, saying they would have dinner first. She thought it would be a casual meal, but Gao Tianqi ordered a private room and insisted that she drink alcohol.
She didn’t drink much, but for some reason, she later passed out. When she woke up, she found herself in Xiaoshan Park, bound and gagged. She felt extremely anxious at that moment.
The two guards began calling Jiang Jun as soon as Lin Jingzhu woke up; Jiang Jun already knew what happened next…
Now the two guards wanted to run away.
"Don’t run! Come here; you can't escape!" Jiang Jun shouted at them.
The shorter guard seemed skeptical and took off running. But after just a few steps, he felt a strong wind behind him and fell forward with a thud.
The taller guard hesitated about whether to run but froze in fear at the sight of his partner falling.
"Come here and explain what’s going on!" Jiang Jun pointed at the tall guard.
"Great… great hero! We were just following orders to bring your girlfriend here and call you when she woke up!"
"Is it really that simple? Following orders from whom?"
"From Mr. Gao! It really is that simple; otherwise we wouldn’t have agreed to come. We don’t want to do anything illegal. Mr. Gao said we just needed to keep an eye on this lady and call you when she woke up; that’s our task!"
"Mr. Gao? Which Mr. Gao? Why would you go through all this trouble for something so simple?"
"It’s Vice President Gao Tianqi from Fortune Clothing Company. We are security guards for Fortune Clothing!"
The shorter guard got back up this time without running away and obediently returned to Jiang Jun’s side to answer questions.
"Hero, we can't really call this kidnapping, can we? Kidnapping is a criminal act. We received a call from Mr. Gao, and when we arrived, your girlfriend was like this. After I finished the call with you, I called Mr. Gao to ask what to do next, and he just told us to wait, saying someone would arrange it. So we were just here waiting for his notification. I didn't expect you to arrive so quickly."

Exiting the park would require passing through the entrance since he had Lin Jingzhu with him. So he could let these two security guards clear the way for him.
Although he wasn't afraid of any accidents or other schemes, having Lin Jingzhu around made it better to avoid unexpected situations. Besides, Jiang Jun didn't want to appear too unusual in front of her.
"Kidnapping someone and still not calling it kidnapping? You two, come on, I'll take you to turn yourselves in and let the officer tell you whether it is or not!"
"Ah, where are we going to turn ourselves in?" The shorter security guard reacted quickly and "plopped" down on his knees.
"Hero, spare my life! I have elderly parents above me and young children below me; I'm the only one earning a salary to support them. If I go to jail, how will my family survive?"
Seeing this, the taller security guard also knelt down. The two men regarded Jiang Jun as a formidable figure.
"Yes, Hero, please spare us! I'm just like him; if I go to jail, my whole family will starve! We were just afraid of losing our jobs, so we had no choice but to listen to Mr. Gao. We didn't do anything to your girlfriend!"
Jiang Jun thought about it; aside from disturbing his sleep, they hadn't caused any real harm. So he decided to let them go! But Gao Tianqi needed to be punished!
"Get up! You don't have to turn yourselves in if you don't want to, but you must agree to confront Gao Tianqi in person. Where is your company?"
"Our company is on the thirteenth floor of Huangming Building. If we confront Mr. Gao directly, will we still keep our jobs?" The two security guards stood up but still looked troubled.
"Don't worry. Gao Tianqi is just the Vice President; after doing something like this, can he keep his position? If he can still be Vice President after this, then your entire Fortune Clothing company will be in trouble!"
"Alright then!" Since Jiang Jun said so, the two security guards had no choice but to agree. If they didn't agree now, it was clear they wouldn't be let off easily.
"Then let's go home!"
The four of them walked out of the park together without any incidents occurring there. Once they reached the city area, Jiang Jun hailed a taxi for himself and Lin Jingzhu!
The two security guards breathed a sigh of relief. The taller security guard took out his phone and called Gao Tianqi.
"What? Jiang Jun has already rescued Lin Jingzhu? How did he get here so fast? How did he get into the park?" Gao Tianqi was shocked when he received the call from the security guard.
The guards couldn't answer Gao Tianqi's questions; they wanted to ask their Mr. Gao too!
