After the explosion, Wu Cheng found himself in a strange and ominous space. The bloody smell mixed with a fishy wind blew through his short gray hair. This space was not only constructed from multiple bodies, but also seemed to be a living entity. 0

The walls around him seemed to breathe, emitting heavy inhales and exhales from time to time, as if some evil force was controlling everything. The entangled chunks of flesh and blood vessels on the walls, and even eyeless eyeballs, stared at him aimlessly. An imperceptible rhythm circulated within this space, making it chilling. 0

Suddenly, a white dress appeared in the detective's line of sight. It was Xiaoting. Her smile had always been warm, but today it was unsettling. 0

"It's scary here, isn't it?" Xiaoting spoke. 0

"Countless souls oppressed by Black-faced god will be brought here even after their physical bodies have perished, to continue punishing their spirits..." 0

Wu Cheng furrowed his brow, feeling the pressure and unease surge in an instant. 0

Suddenly, Xiaoting's expression twisted, and she was engulfed in a frenzy of madness and rage. 0

"Do you know why she did this?" she roared with wide eyes, "Just for fun, she thought it was amusing!" 0

With this sentence, the whole space seemed to tremble with Xiaoting's anger, even the entangled flesh and blood vessels became more chaotic. 0

Feeling Xiaoting's anger, Wu Cheng also couldn't help but feel a surge of anger in his heart, but soon calmed down and took a deep breath. 0

"So where is the place that held you captive?" He clenched his fists, his eyes burning with intensity. 0

Xiaoting silently pointed ahead, where there was a door made of human skin and bones. 0

"After you go in, you'll know," Xiaoting's smile appeared again, but this time, it was an indescribable kind of eerie. 0

The detective walked towards the door, understanding in his heart that this step would lead him into an irreversible abyss. 0

Wu ChengCrossing through the door woven from blood and skin, the disgusting screams gradually faded behind the door. A cold sweat dripped down, blending with the damp, bloody air around. 0

"What place is this..." The air seemed to carry a sense of oppression, with occasional sounds of panting and dripping mucus, as if some huge creature was quietly approaching. 0

Suddenly, a little boy appeared in his line of sight, with short hair and a bright smile. It was his youthful appearance. Wu Cheng gazed at it all, feeling an indescribable emotion welling up inside him. 0

The little boy gradually grew up before his eyes, becoming more robust in stature, but the smile gradually disappeared, replaced by pressure and fatigue. 0

"The days in the police force, did they make you lose your smile like this?" He muttered to himself, and then, a memory began to echo in his mind. 0
It was a routine raid, Wu Cheng at the time was a rookie cop, leading the team into an old apartment building. His short, gray hair danced messily on his head, and his gray suit was soaked with sweat and unease. In the moment of giving orders, his eyes were filled with tension and hesitation as he glanced at his team members. 0

"Open the door!" Wu Cheng commanded loudly, holding a gun and a flashlight. His eyes scanned every corner, waiting solemnly. 0
The sound of the door breaking echoed in the narrow hallway as the team rushed in. But Wu Cheng's heart felt like it was being squeezed when he saw the mother and her three-year-old child appear in his sight. "Don't shoot!" Wu Cheng realized his mistake, but a gunshot cut through his shout. The room's light flickered, and shadows danced on the walls. 0

The bullet accidentally killed the mother and the three-year-old child. From that moment on, Wu Cheng could no longer sleep peacefully. He only wanted to work hard to delay the pain in his heart. 0

When he came to his senses, Wu Cheng found himself back in an endless darkness, with heavy breathing and a low, sticky sound reminding him that he was still in the eerie space. Suddenly, he felt his legs and shoulders being grabbed heavily. In a panic, he turned around, and in that moment, his heart almost stopped beating. 0

"It hurts so much! Why me? Not you!" The mother and child, covered in blood, roared at him with hatred in their eyes. This extreme mental torment made Wu Cheng lose control, and he broke free from those hands and ran wildly. 0

In the darkness, flashes of red light appeared, as if guiding his way, and he nervously followed. After an unknown amount of time, Wu Cheng pushed open the door to the room, his heart racing almost out of control. Upon entering, the scene before him struck him like a heavy blow, leaving him almost breathless. 0

Inside the room, intermittent white mist seemed to create an illusion. He saw the figure of Li Xiaoting, the eternal pain in his heart. Her long black hair was scattered, and she was wearing a white dress. But at this moment, her expression was twisted, her eyes filled with madness and resentment, as if consumed by some indescribable emotion. Her long black hair hung disheveled in front of her face, partially obscuring her view, but her warm smile had disappeared without a trace. She suddenly spoke, repeatedly shouting, "It's all Wu Cheng's fault! It's all because of you!" 0

Suddenly, the scene changes, and Li Xiaoting walks to the edge of a tall building. She tightly grips the railing, her face showing a complex mix of despair and relief. Then, she leaps off. 0

Seeing all this, Wu Cheng immediately holds his head and cries in pain. He feels like he's being cut open by an invisible knife, and the fear and panic from deep within erupt once again, dragging him into an inescapable abyss. Despite understanding that all of this is fake, an illusion, the guilt and pain feel more real than anything physical. In this moment, he seems to see the darkest corner of his soul, where his most unwillingly faced fears are hidden. This is a dream, a terrifying yet real dream, making Wu Cheng deeply aware once again that he cannot escape his past or his inner demons. In this terrifying alternate dimension, everything becomes incredibly real, and every painful detail becomes unbearable. 0
