Yang Jing and Su Jianyang hurriedly walked along the path leading to Earth deities Temple. The overcast sky cast a gloomy atmosphere over the entire town. Their steps were tense and hurried, and suddenly, the whole town seemed to tremble briefly, causing Yang Jing and Su Jianyang to involuntarily stop in their tracks. They exchanged a wary glance, feeling a strange sensation in their hearts. 0

"What's going on?" Yang Jing furrowed his brow in confusion. "Could it be an earthquake?" Su Jianyang's face turned serious. "This kind of tremor... feels a bit unusual." Suddenly, they felt an inexplicable flow of air circulating around them, as if something was approaching. Yang Jing couldn't help but shiver. "Do you think... something is happening?" Su Jianyang tried to remain calm. "I'm not sure, but we should hurry to Earth deities Temple and maybe find some clues." 0

Both of them quickened their pace, nervously heading towards Earth deities Temple. Their heartbeats accelerated, unable to conceal their inner anxiety. The entire town seemed to become even quieter, with only the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves echoing in their ears. 0

When Yang Jing and Su Jianyang arrived at the dilapidated Earth deities Temple, an indescribable sense of unease enveloped them. The temple gate was a half-open, half-closed, and cracked wooden door. The once bright red paint had long peeled off, leaving only some remnants of color and exposed grayish-white wood. A string of old wind chimes hung on the lintel, swaying with the breeze and emitting a series of chilling clinks. 0

The stone steps in front of the temple were covered with moss and dried yellow leaves, clearly untouched by human feet for many years. Candle wax remnants and extinguished joss sticks were scattered along the edges of the steps, along with some indiscernible dark red stains, sparking endless imagination. 0

Especially unsettling were the stone lions on either side of the entrance, which appeared unusually terrifying. They were supposed to be majestic guardians, but after years of erosion from the wind and rain, the faces of the stone lions had become distorted and blurred. The hollow eye sockets seemed unfathomable, making people want to avoid their gaze. 0

The exterior of the Earth deities Temple gave off a gloomy and sinister feeling, as if it were a black hole that swallowed all light and hope. Yang Jing couldn't help but tighten the strap of his camera, while Su Jianyang unconsciously checked the status of his gun, then decided to take out his baton as a precaution against the nearby unknown and oppressive atmosphere. 0

Two people stood there, their faces looking very serious. They both felt that the temple seemed to be more than just an abandoned place of worship, but rather a gathering point for some kind of evil force. Even in the daytime, sunlight seemed unable to penetrate the gloom and illuminate the place. An unknown smell of blood accompanied by the stench of decay slowly wafted into their nostrils, making it impossible not to imagine what terrifying secrets might be hidden here. 0

"Why... why is this place so eerie?" Yang Jing's voice trembled, his eyes revealing deep unease. 0

Su Jianyang lit up the flashlight, illuminating the blurry images ahead. He looked around vigilantly and said, "We need to be careful, something doesn't feel right here." He tightly gripped the baton, with Yang Jing hiding behind him, feeling uneasy. They proceeded cautiously, every step seeming particularly careful, as if they could encounter an unknown threat at any moment. 0

The atmosphere inside the Earth deities Temple became increasingly eerie, with thin mist obscuring the surroundings. Suddenly, they felt the air around them becoming stagnant, as if some unknown force was affecting everything around them. "Do you feel it..." Yang Jing trembled, "the air here seems to have solidified." Su Jianyang nodded solemnly, "I have the same feeling, there must be something unusual hidden here." 0

The two looked at each other nervously, both filled with tension. The smell of blood they detected became even stronger, making it unbearable. However, they had to continue forward, searching for evidence that could explain everything. In this eerie atmosphere, Su Jianyang and Yang Jing moved slowly, holding a baton and a flashlight. The leaves around them rustled softly in the wind, as if the whispers of ghosts echoed in their ears. However, the two were not affected by these sounds and continued their advance. 0

The beam of their flashlight illuminated a large bloodstain on the ground and a black human-shaped corpse without a head, soaked in blood. This scene startled the two, causing them to stop and stare at the horrifying sight. "What... what is going on?" Yang Jing's voice trembled. Su Jianyang pursed his lips, a hint of alertness flashing in his eyes. He gently waved the flashlight, letting the light sweep over the surroundings of the corpse. The bloodstains scattered on the ground, creating a chilling scene. "The atmosphere of this place is becoming more and more eerie, and the position and condition of the body are also unusual," Su Jianyang said in a low voice, his brow furrowed. 0

Yang Jing Swallowing hard, she looked incredulously at the black humanoid corpse. "Could this... have been killed by something?" 0

Su Jianyang began to carefully investigate the headless corpse, bending down to examine it and search for any details that could provide clues. He discovered that the body had suffered from malnutrition, its emaciation almost unbelievable. Its limbs had strangely elongated, and its nails were in disarray, resembling the claws of some kind of monster. 0

Even more shocking, the body bore signs of a fierce struggle, with blood under the nails indicating a violent confrontation with someone. Su Jianyang furrowed his brow in puzzlement, and as he turned the body over, he found a small hole in the chest. Though small, it appeared quite deep. Was it caused by a small knife, or a weapon like a dagger? 0

"Thank goodness it's not Wu..." Su Jianyang sighed softly, but before he could finish his sentence, a sudden scream interrupted him. "Officer, this... this is all blood," Yang Jing pointed at the walls surrounding the corpse, her voice trembling. Su Jianyang followed Yang Jing's gaze and saw the walls covered in splattered blood, as if a vivid red brush had painted terrifying scenes. The blood clearly had sprayed from the body, staining everything around in crimson. 0

"This... this is too eerie," Su Jianyang said in a low voice, feeling increasingly heavy-hearted as the place was filled with a terrifying and inexplicable atmosphere. Yang Jing's hand covered his mouth, his face turning pale. "This blood... could it have sprayed out from the corpses?" 0
Su Jianyang immediately responded, "No, it's not." He picked up a flashlight, shining it around the walls and then began to circle around the bodies, before carefully examining the already deformed altar. 0

"Look, although this table also has bloodstains, this particular circle is clearly a specific area. The bloodstains within this small area don't appear to have splattered like those on the wall..." As he explained, he poked at the blood on the table, disregarding Yang Jing's disgusted expression, and continued to express his analysis. Then, he rubbed the blood on his hands and continued, "You see, the blood accumulated here is quite thick, indicating that a body was placed here for some time..." He paused, looking at the empty space on the divine table, "And now, the only thing missing... is just the head." 0

Su Jianyang's gaze swept around the corpse, discovering more horrifying scenes. There were scattered human cartilage and skull fragments on the ground, as if it were a scene of a terrible massacre. Although his face did not show fear, it revealed inner shock. 0

"It seems that a powerful external force caused the head to... explode from the inside," he muttered to himself. "That's why there are bloodstains and various human tissues everywhere." 0

The analysis seemed to excite him, as he continued to ponder the situation and express his speculation. "So, the beginning of the event was someone coming in and engaging in a struggle with this person, then using a small weapon, like a knife or dagger, to stab the man in the chest, causing a fatal wound. Then, the assailant cut off his head, placed it on the altar, and then, I don't know what happened, but the head exploded..." 0

His tone was filled with disbelief, unable to comprehend why someone would commit such a twisted act. "What's the point of doing this? It makes no sense at all! Who would commit a crime and then do so many unnecessary things?" Yang Jing was already emotionally shattered, finding it difficult to bear the horrifying scene before him. 0

"It's a bit too early to discuss the motive now. Let's first investigate the area nearby, and... what about Wu Cheng?" Su Jianyang's voice became calm. He knew he had to stay composed in order to solve this mystery. "We need to be careful; the situation has already exceeded our expectations." 0
