In the deep of night, the Villa Area was quiet, with no one in sight except for the lights and patrolling security guards.
"This tea is quite good."
The Ancient Sorcerer took a sip, and a refreshing aroma flowed down his throat like silk, instantly revitalizing him.
"Not resting yet?"
Turning around, the Ancient Sorcerer found it was Zhong Wenxin.
"Almost done, just a little more. I'll rest after I finish."
Zhong Wenxin sat down on the sofa opposite the Ancient Sorcerer. During the day, her close friend Kong Ying had brought the Ancient Sorcerer to treat her, and then he requested to see some recent MTVs and choreographed dances she had made. So, her assistant found them, piled high on the table like a small mountain, but the Ancient Sorcerer had nearly finished watching.
"Did you discover anything?"
"Yes, I found some issues."
He picked up a disc from the table, opened it, and started playing while saying to Zhong Wenxin, "Look at this."
"What’s wrong?"
Zhong Wenxin looked at the Ancient Sorcerer in confusion; this dance was called "Witch," one of her favorites.
"This dance has problems."
The Ancient Sorcerer's words furrowed Zhong Wenxin's brow further as she became even more puzzled. "This dance has problems?"
"Yes. When you perform this dance, do you ever feel faint?"
Zhong Wenxin relaxed a bit and replied, "No, I've never felt faint while dancing."
"Never?"
Ancient Sorcerer paused for a moment, "How could that be possible?"
On the surface, Zhong Wenxin's dance appeared to be just a strange and seductive performance, but in reality, it was not that simple. Logically speaking, Zhong Wenxin should have fainted while performing this dance, yet she claimed she did not, which was quite perplexing.
"I really haven't fainted."
Ancient Sorcerer furrowed his brows tightly, until they formed a knot. He knew that Zhong Wenxin had no reason to lie about such matters.
What could possibly be the problem? Why was his judgment wrong?
Suddenly, Ancient Sorcerer had a thought and immediately asked, "Miss Zhong, how long has it been since you last performed this dance? I mean, after you experienced fainting spells, have you danced this piece?"
Shaking her head, Zhong Wenxin replied firmly, "No, this is a piece from almost two years ago. It was very popular at the time, but trends come and go; I haven't danced it recently."
"You must have a dance studio here, right?"
"Yes, why?"
Zhong Wenxin looked at Ancient Sorcerer curiously, unsure why he suddenly asked that.
"Can you perform this dance again now?"
"Will I really faint?"
Seeing Ancient Sorcerer so certain made Zhong Wenxin hesitate.
"Trying it will tell us."
Zhong Wenxin nodded and stood up, saying, "Alright, let's go to the dance studio."
The dance studio was located on the first floor of the villa. Ancient Sorcerer surveyed the space and found it to be about 200 square meters large. Aside from the sound system, all four walls were made of large glass panels.
After turning on the light, Xianhao Bi appeared.
Zhong Wenxin found her old outfit and changed into it, then began to dance to the music.
It must be said that Zhong Wenxin indeed had the right to be proud; her singing was exceptional, and her appearance, especially her figure, was top-notch. She wore a multicolored Beast Skin mini skirt, her face painted in blood red, with a bright red feather in her hair, and beast teeth around her neck. She looked like an elder from a primitive tribe. The short skirt exposed her snow-white thighs, making them even more eye-catching and alluring, complemented by a deep cleavage that gave off an eerie yet irresistible charm.
A poppy stained with blood!
There was no better description than this.
What effect would it have if such a beauty swayed her body to the rhythm of the music?
Not only men but women would go crazy for her; the allure was simply overwhelming.
Zhong Wenxin was unaware of the feelings stirring in the Ancient Sorcerer at that moment because she was completely immersed in the dance—once the music started, it felt as if something had drawn her in, and she immediately threw herself into it wholeheartedly. Each movement flowed effortlessly as if it were second nature.
She became increasingly devout and focused; her mind went blank, as if nothing existed except for a single belief.
The Ancient Sorcerer stared intently at Zhong Wenxin. At that moment, she wore an expression of purity on her face, as if what she was performing was not merely a dance but a tribute to the deity within her heart.
But therein lay the problem!
Zhong Wenxin knelt down, raising her hands high in prayer, closing her eyes. Slowly, she bent forward and prostrated herself.
"Ah."
As soon as her forehead touched the ground, Zhong Wenxin suddenly let out a cry and collapsed softly onto the floor. After twitching for a moment, she lay still.
"Hmph! Just as expected!"
The Ancient Sorcerer sneered and walked over to Zhong Wenxin, pinching her forcefully several times.
"Mm~"
With a soft hum, Zhong Wenxin opened her eyes, and she immediately realized that she must have fainted.
"Why did this happen? I never experienced anything like this when I danced this before."
Zhong Wenxin was truly puzzled. She had danced this particular routine at least eighty times before, yet nothing like this had ever occurred. Why was it different now? She was still the same person, and the dance was still the same dance; why was there such a significant difference?
Was it that her body had deteriorated, or was it as the Ancient Sorcerer said, that there was something wrong with the dance itself?
Pouring a glass of water and handing it to Zhong Wenxin, the Ancient Sorcerer said:
"This dance has issues. Of course, it's not just this dance; many of your dances have problems, and this one is the earliest among them. You didn't have issues when you performed this dance before because your body was still in good shape back then, and your illness wasn't severe. Now the situation is different, which is why this happened."
"If you don't believe me, there's another way to prove it."
Half an hour later, Zhong Wenxin's face was as dark as water. During that time, she had danced two routines—one that the Ancient Sorcerer said would make her faint and another that he said would not—and indeed, that was exactly what happened!
She didn't understand why it was like this, but she knew something strange was definitely happening to her!
"What on earth is going on?"
Zhong Wenxin's face turned pale, and a hint of anger surfaced. If these dances had issues, then someone must have done it intentionally!
