Looking at the people kneeling on the ground, Fang Miao felt quite emotional. She understood that if it weren't for the Ancient Sorcerer, not only would the lives of the villagers be at stake, but their freedom would also be impossible. Therefore, the Ancient Sorcerer was a tremendous savior to them. 0

"These people... are all grateful to you." 0

The Ancient Sorcerer nodded and smiled, saying, "They should be." 0

This was said rather quietly, and only Fang Miao heard it. However, she was taken aback upon hearing it; she never expected the Ancient Sorcerer to say such a thing—shouldn't he be more modest under normal circumstances? 0

Seeing the surprised expression on Fang Miao's face, the Ancient Sorcerer understood and said, "I saved them; it's normal and right for them to be grateful to me." 0

Fang Miao finally regained her composure, shrugged her shoulders, and said, "Alright, I must admit you are absolutely right." 0

The Ancient Sorcerer was indeed correct; that was simply the truth. He wasn't being modest at all; he was just being straightforward. 0

It wasn't until the Ancient Sorcerer and Fang Miao had walked far away that the villagers who had been kneeling slowly stood up. Of course, what the Ancient Sorcerer didn't know was that after he left the village, these simple villagers began to set up a shrine in his honor, which would be passed down through generations. 0

"Are you leaving?" 0

At the village entrance, Fang Miao wore a strange expression on her face. Just moments ago, the Ancient Sorcerer had suddenly announced he was leaving—and that he would leave immediately. 0

"Yes, I need to go now; I have other matters to attend to." 0

"Is it urgent? If not, why not stay a few more days? You haven't received any proper thanks for healing my grandfather yet." 0

Although she saw the reluctance on Fang Miao's face, the Ancient Sorcerer remained unmoved and said, "I have something urgent to attend to, so I must leave immediately." 0

"Something urgent?" 0

Fang Miao looked at the Ancient Sorcerer. She had been with him for a while and hadn't seen him take any calls; how could something suddenly come up? 0

"Arrange a vehicle for me; I need to leave now." 0

The Ancient Sorcerer did not provide further explanation but directly stated his request. 0

"Okay, no problem." 0

Fang Miao no longer asked any questions at this point. There were still troops stationed around the village, and arranging a vehicle was easy. Within ten minutes, Ancient Sorcerer drove off alone. 0

"What on earth is going on?" 0

Fang Miao watched as Ancient Sorcerer disappeared into the distance, filled with confusion. Anything unusual is considered a monster; Ancient Sorcerer's current behavior was indeed unusual, and extremely so. 0

After leaving Dashi Village, Ancient Sorcerer pressed the accelerator to the floor, showcasing the full performance of the military off-road Jeep. It sped away like a horse that had broken free from its reins. With a grim expression, Ancient Sorcerer gripped the steering wheel tightly, constantly changing directions. An expert would easily recognize this as tactical evasion, albeit executed with a vehicle rather than by a person. 0

This was a last resort for Ancient Sorcerer. If he didn't act this way, it would likely lead to his demise. He had sensed someone was watching him while he was still in the village—though it was purely a feeling, his numerous experiences of surviving near-death situations told him that this was definitely not a good sign. Similar situations had occurred before, and each time proved that his instincts were correct. 0

So, with this feeling returning again, how could Ancient Sorcerer afford to be careless? 0

There were too many people in the village; while it felt safer, it could also lead to innocent casualties. Thus, Ancient Sorcerer decided to leave the village and confront whoever was secretly watching him. 0

Suddenly, Ancient Sorcerer felt the hairs on his back stand up as if a knife had been thrust toward him. 0

"Damn it!" 0

Ancient Sorcerer cursed loudly and sharply turned the steering wheel to the right. The speeding Jeep made a sudden turn, causing the vehicle to sway violently. The immense centrifugal force nearly threw him out of the car. 0

Clenching his teeth tightly, he held onto the steering wheel with all his strength while keeping his foot firmly on the accelerator. The car spun wildly, kicking up clouds of dust until it seemed to "bury" itself. 0

Then, Ancient Sorcerer suddenly turned his head, and with a loud bang, a thumb-sized hole appeared in the windshield! 0

"Son of a gun! They’re using a gun?!" 0

Ancient Sorcerer shouted angrily. With his vast experience, he immediately recognized it as a sniper rifle and realized he was up against a true expert. Otherwise, it would have been impossible for someone to achieve such accuracy while he was executing evasive maneuvers and kicking up dust. 0

After sensing danger, Ancient Sorcerer initially thought that he was being targeted by a sorcerer. This was one of the main reasons he left the village; under sorcery, ordinary people—including Fang Daoming's troops—wouldn't be able to do much. However, he never expected that his adversary would actually be a sorcerer using firearms instead of magic! 0

"Hmph! If you want to die, then don’t blame me!" 0

Ancient Sorcerer wasn't afraid of dueling sorcery; how could he fear this? During his time in the military, he was among the best of the best. No matter how formidable his opponent might be, he had confidence in defeating them! 0

The vehicle continued to spin, dust rising higher and higher. The Ancient Sorcerer knew that the person had definitely not left and was watching from somewhere. As long as he revealed even the slightest opportunity, it could mean the end of his life. 0

So, despite his confidence, the Ancient Sorcerer did not underestimate his opponent at all! Having faced life and death multiple times, he had long learned that unless he ended his opponent's life, he must never let his guard down! 0

The vehicle spun round and round, while the Ancient Sorcerer's mind raced. Continuing like this was definitely not a solution. Not to mention that fuel would eventually run out; when that time came, even if he didn't want to stop, he would have no choice! 0

If he waited until then, he would surely be a lamb waiting to be slaughtered! 0

Therefore, he needed to think of a way to solve the problem—he had to find a way to escape from his current situation. 0

The Ancient Sorcerer was an experienced individual and quickly came up with a plan. 0

"Hmph! Let's see how you die in a moment!" 0

A cruel smile appeared on the Ancient Sorcerer's face. 0

Three hundred meters away, a person lay on the ground, but unless one was a professional, they would never notice. 0

Dize bit down on a blade of grass, his eyes fixed intently on the high-powered scope of his sniper rifle. The thickening cloud of dust nearby confirmed that his previous shot had missed the target. 0

"You're quite skilled, but how could you possibly escape from my grasp? Keep spinning if you dare!" 0
