A meteor fell from the sky, streaking across the air with brilliant light before disappearing, so ordinary, so commonplace.
No one noticed as the meteorite burned and peeled away layer by layer due to friction with the air, ultimately revealing the figure that emerged.
Accompanied by a soft cough, Daniel crawled out of the Meteorite Crater. Seeing no one around, he quickly left the crater and ran into the distance.
Since being transported out by the Magic Array, he had no idea how long it had been, but he had finally landed in this world and needed to hide first.
Such a conspicuous event as a meteorite falling would attract the attention of powerful beings nearby, who would come to investigate. He had to conceal himself before they arrived to avoid being discovered.
Once he was far from the crater, Daniel found a giant tree and used magic to gradually merge into it, leaving only his eyes visible to observe the surroundings.
Not long after he concealed himself, he saw a flying dragon pass overhead. On the dragon's back was a knight clad in White Armor and draped in a Red Cloak, majestic as he flew toward the crater.
He couldn't help but feel relieved that he had hidden quickly; otherwise, being caught by that knight would make survival difficult.
After staying hidden in the giant tree for over a month and confirming that the commotion caused by the meteorite had subsided, Daniel finally prepared to venture out and begin his journey in this new world.
Carefully observing his surroundings, Daniel prepared to gather information. The trees around him were tall; even ordinary plants were taller than those in the Wizarding World. The oxygen was abundant, indicating a rich oxygen environment.
The creatures here should be relatively large, but not too different from those in the Wizarding World. Given the environment, there might be Subhumans present, which would allow him to hide better without being mistaken for another species.
To his left came the cries of a High Magic Creature; it sounded like an Abyss Dragon, likely possessing dragon bloodline strength at about Third-Level Apprentice.
The voice was filled with fear and anxiety, indicating it was fleeing. A moment had passed without it being killed, suggesting that its pursuer wasn't too strong either. This presented an opportunity for him to check on the situation.
With his abilities, the opponent couldn't detect him; he just didn't know whether it was a Subhuman or another type of creature.
Daniel thought to himself as he concealed his form and gradually approached the location where the Abyss Dragon was making noise.
He then saw a corpse. Although it appeared to have been severely battered by the Abyss Dragon, torn apart, it still resembled a human.
Seeing that there were no other people around, Daniel crouched down to examine it. It was not much different from a human, but stood about two meters tall, with skin that was extremely tough, comparable to old cowhide. Its body was muscular; he wondered if it was just this individual or if the entire race was like this.
The weapon used was made of steel, indicating a relatively high level of civilization. If the entire race was like this, it could be a good source of slaves.
Daniel carefully analyzed everything before following the trail left by the creature.
Soon, he saw both sides engaged in battle. One side was an Abyss Dragon, possessing dragon bloodline traits, with a massive mouth. Daniel had no doubt that with its biting power, it could even snap steel. Its front claws were short and thick, while its hind claws were strong and powerful, covered in a layer of tough scales.
On the other side was a group of people, each over 1.9 meters tall. They worked together in coordination, skillfully maneuvering around the Abyss Dragon. Despite having immense strength, the dragon had already sustained heavy injuries and could only struggle desperately in place, trying to escape without being able to inflict much more damage.
Daniel watched from the side as this group hunted the Abyss Dragon while also learning their language. Their speech was strange, resembling a form of dragon language primarily consisting of roars. Having studied dragon language before, Daniel could understand their meaning after just listening for a while.
It was evident that these individuals possessed strength close to First-Level Apprentice or Second-Level Apprentice levels. With their excellent weapons and numerical advantage, combined with the fact that the Abyss Dragon was injured, they were able to continue fighting it and had a good chance of killing it.
As escape became impossible, the Abyss Dragon suddenly let out a long roar, its eyes glowing with bloodlust as it fought for its life. Its tail whipped around violently; two people who couldn't dodge in time were struck by its tail and sent flying over ten meters away, dead beyond recovery.
Daniel's eyes lit up; this was the best opportunity for him to make his entrance. Without hesitation, he began chanting a spell, and his body swelled up like a balloon, transforming him into a towering giant over a meter tall!
He picked up the enormous axe he had found from one of the fallen individuals and strode forward confidently. Spotting the Abyss Dragon, he let out a roar and charged at it with his muscular arms raised high.
With a loud clang, the giant axe struck the opponent's front claw, producing a sound like metal colliding, instantly dulling the blade as if it had hit a steel plate.
The Abyss Dragon was not faring well either; its front claw bent back at a ninety-degree angle, clearly broken in two.
The Abyss Dragon roared and swung its tail at Daniel. Daniel did not dodge; instead, he turned the axe around and used it like a hammer. With another loud clang amidst the Abyss Dragon's painful cries, the tail was severed in two.
The giant axe could not withstand this tremendous force and snapped with a crack, leaving Daniel weaponless.
Seeing an opportunity, the Abyss Dragon opened its massive jaws to bite down. Amidst the crowd's gasps, Daniel clenched his fists, his entire arm bulging with veins as if all his strength concentrated together. He slammed down with a thunderous crash, and the Abyss Dragon could not bear it, collapsing to the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.
Daniel stepped directly onto it and delivered several powerful blows, causing blood to flow from all seven orifices of the Abyss Dragon, killing it on the spot.
Daniel's fierce demeanor vividly portrayed the image of a super strongman skilled in close combat. The crowd was not only astonished but also deeply impressed by his martial prowess.
This was why he was so respected; these people were clearly experts in close combat, and nothing earned their admiration more than such direct fighting.
A mysterious figure skilled in ranged combat would only instill fear in them; only someone stronger than them could earn their respect.
While Daniel was not particularly adept at close combat, relatively speaking, as a Formal Wizard pretending to be a Third-Level Apprentice, he found melee combat quite easy.
"May I ask where the warrior comes from?"
After a moment of hesitation, one of the strongest men, standing nearly a meter tall, approached and asked.
"I am traveling around and happened to encounter the Abyss Dragon going wild; that's why I came out to save your lives," Daniel casually fabricated an excuse.
A group of people knew that Daniel was fierce, but out of fear of his bravery, no one dared to speak up. After exchanging glances for a while, one of them said, "Thank you, warrior, for helping us defeat the Abyss Dragon. If it weren't for you, we don't know how many more lives we would have lost."
"This is nothing. I had no use for the Abyss Dragon, so I’m giving it to you," Daniel said casually, waving his hand as if the valuable Abyss Dragon meant nothing to him.
The strong man was overjoyed upon hearing this. After exchanging a few pleasantries with Daniel, he called a few others over. At this point, out of the dozen or so who had fought against the Abyss Dragon, only ten remained.
Initially filled with sorrow, upon hearing Daniel's words, everyone was elated. They rushed over to lift the Abyss Dragon, and the foul-smelling dragon blood poured over them like a waterfall. They cried out in pain but were reluctant to let go.
Daniel observed this and analyzed the situation. No wonder these people risked their lives to deal with the Abyss Dragon; it turned out they were after the baptism of dragon blood.
As creatures at the top of the food chain, dragons are extremely rare, and every part of them is considered precious material. Among these, dragon blood can enhance a person's physical attributes. Those who bathe in dragon blood gain superior defenses, and the blood of high-ranking dragon species can even stimulate the skin to form a layer of scales on the surface.
Although the Abyss Dragon did not possess the abilities of a true dragon, its blood still had certain effects.
After waiting for them to finish bathing in dragon blood, the strong man approached Daniel and said, "Thank you for your help, warrior. We cannot repay you. Alyss would like to invite you to our village to rest for a while; we hope you will accept."
"Sure, I am feeling a bit tired and would like to rest at your place," Daniel replied.
Alyss was delighted and signaled for everyone to carry the Abyss Dragon ahead as their guide. The Abyss Dragon weighed at least several thousand pounds, yet with ten people lifting it, it felt as light as carrying a goat. It was evident that each person was capable of lifting immense weights.
Daniel himself was not particularly strong; he realized that this mission might not be easy to complete.
It seemed that everyone he encountered was capable of extraordinary strength. Even those who couldn't lift such weights were unlikely to be weak; it appeared that the entire race was formidable.
Upon arriving at the village, Daniel received a warm welcome. This hunting team was the strongest force in their village. They had not expected to encounter an Abyss Dragon; if they had suffered heavy losses, it would have caused turmoil throughout the entire village.
In the evening, he quietly slipped into several places to check the books inside, frowning more and more as he read. This world was not easy to deal with.
Unlike the unfathomable power of the Wizarding World, even as a wizard, Daniel had no idea how many formidable powers existed in the Wizarding Continent; he couldn't even make a guess, only seeing a glimpse of it.
As he learned more about this otherworld, its power gradually unfolded before him. There were a total of Ten Great Empires distributed across three continents. He even discovered a World Map at a household that marked the extent of the Ten Great Empires.
Surrounding the three continents was an endless expanse of sea. To his surprise, there were five words written on the outer edge: "The End of the World."
The End of the World was no joke; unlike Earth, which is round, humans could only circle around it no matter how strong they became.
The Wizarding World has boundaries. Even though the Wizarding World seems vast and boundless, as long as one possesses great power, they can find its limits, much like a circular area.
The discovery of The End of the World in this realm signifies the world's strength. It was found in an ordinary farmer's house in a village, which could clarify many issues.
Just like in ancient times in his previous life, maps were military secrets that could never fall into the hands of ordinary people! Only in modern times has the world become less of a mystery to humanity; with technological advancements bridging distances between people, it became known as a global village, and maps gradually became widespread.
This indicated that the development level of this world was quite high, at least comparable to that of his previous life. This raised the difficulty for the Wizarding World to conquer this place and reduced potential gains.
After all, not to mention the knowledge, wealth, and culture possessed by this race, other aspects would be diminished.
