A few people hurriedly walked towards the deck, eager to see the scenery outside.
As soon as they stepped out, they saw Maxwell standing at the bow of the ship, dressed in a white robe. They quickly greeted him in hushed tones, "Master, Master."
He stood at the front of the ship, ignoring them.
Looking around, they noticed that the sky was clear and blue after the recent Tornado had passed, making the sea appear as if it was one vast expanse. It lifted their spirits.
“Maxwell, have you thought about it?”
A booming voice echoed from above. Daniel quickly looked up and saw a figure standing in mid-air, as if something was supporting him.
Maxwell looked up at him, his expression very grim. “Gerald, you've been following me for a long time, haven’t you?”
“So what? Hand over Randolph, Regina, Curtis, Jim, and Toby. The others can go, but Jim is a Dark Gift. What do you gain by having him learn Fire Magic under you? You might as well let me take them to Blood Thunder Academy.”
“That depends on whether you have the ability. Cecil, guard the ship well. If even one of them goes missing, you can forget about graduating for the rest of your life.”
Having already taken to the air, a fireball shot towards Gerald.
“Yes.” Cecil replied with a bitter face. He had thought that taking on students would be easy; he had fought hard to get this task, but he never expected things would turn out like this.
With a wave of his hand, Gerald enveloped himself in a dark mist, and the fireball disappeared into it without a sound. Then, a streak of light shot out from within, heading straight for Maxwell.
The two engaged in battle and quickly vanished from sight.
Just a few meters away, suddenly a ship leaped out from beneath the sea, its prow adorned with a skull that looked fierce and menacing. The surge of water caused the Flame Throne to rock violently, making everyone struggle to maintain their balance and nearly fall.
As soon as it emerged from the water and before the Vessels could stabilize, water cascaded down from the ship. The cabin had opened, and a group of crew members rushed out, brandishing flying claws and howling as they flew towards the Flame Throne.
At the Dock, dozens of people shouted in unison and pulled with all their might, their arm muscles bulging like rocks. The two boats swayed and slowly drew closer.
This scene shocked those on the Flame Throne; they were unprepared and did not expect anyone to dare intercept the Wizard's Vessels.
Daniel observed the situation, analyzing what was happening. For some unknown reason, the instructor from Blood Thunder Academy had set his sights on Randolph and his group, preparing to abduct them.
The situation was very unfavorable for those on the Flame Throne.
However, it wasn't too concerning. As long as Cecil was at the forefront, with him around, the people on the Flame Throne would quickly be able to organize themselves. At that point, it was still uncertain who would win or lose.
"Senior, you look so handsome! Let me learn from you!"
With those words, a stunning beauty with an alluring figure and dressed revealingly, exposing her long white legs, leaped from the bow of the ship. Her long twin ponytails swayed gently as she moved, creating a breathtaking effect.
Before Cecil could respond, she blew him a kiss, leaving him momentarily stunned. His expression changed drastically as he exclaimed, "You dare to use magic to seduce me!"
Unfortunately, the woman ignored him entirely. She waved her staff, and Cecil was enveloped in a cloud of gray mist. When the mist dissipated, a Frog appeared in the spot where Cecil had been standing, croaking as it jumped into the sea.
Daniel was astonished; this was likely a type of Transforming Spell that turned a person into a Frog, rendering them unable to act independently and forcing them to follow the Frog's instincts.
Fortunately for Cecil, he was a Wizard Apprentice; if he had been an ordinary person, he would have drowned upon jumping into the sea.
The beauty scanned the many apprentices on board with an overwhelming aura that made everyone too afraid to meet her gaze.
With a cold smile, she said, "Everyone get on the Blood Thunder! Anyone who dares to resist will be killed."
A sense of despair flashed through everyone's hearts. With their instructor and only third-level senior taken away, what use were they—this group of weaklings who knew nothing? They were no different from meat on a chopping block; they could be dealt with however one pleased. They were all prepared to surrender.
However, before they could take any further action, a vine suddenly wrapped around her from below the ship and pulled her down instantly.
Daniel felt a surge of joy; it seemed that Cecil was not as useless as he thought, at least managing to draw away the terrifying beauty. The balance of power between both sides had once again been restored.
The first to react was the mentor's servant, Baron, who swung his cross sword and severed a dozen flying claws in succession.
He shouted loudly, "Crew, quickly prepare for battle! All Wizard Apprentices, go to the cabin and fetch weapons to fight!"
However, before he could finish his sentence, a knight in armor rushed over from the opposing ship, drawing Baron away.
In the blink of an eye, the person in charge on their ship had been lured away. The exchange was very clean. As a result of this series of events, the crew on the ship had not reacted at all.
The Wizard Apprentices obeyed Baron's last command and ran to the cabin to get weapons. The crew rushed out from the cabin to fight, and in an instant, the entire ship was thrown into chaos.
Sherlock's expression was extremely grim; it would be difficult to get through this. Looking at the group of apprentices on the opposite side wielding cross swords, war hammers, bright shields, and other assorted weapons ready to charge over for a fight, and then glancing at his own side where apprentices had just experienced an underwater adventure and were completely unprepared. Everyone knew what the outcome would be.
If someone could take charge, it would be fine; now all three people who could lead on the ship had been drawn away by the enemy, leaving everyone else divided into several factions.
Among them were the crew; although they were few in number, they were all at least knights or above in strength. But the opposing ship also had a considerable number of crew members; drawing them away led to a clash between both sides.
The only ones left were the Wizard Apprentices. Although there were many Wizard Apprentices, they came from different places. They formed teams but barely knew each other and could hardly trust one another. If someone could lead them, it would be fine; now they could only fight individually.
Some had already come out from the cabin, while others were still on their way to fetch weapons. Some were even more timid and directly hid back in the cabin. What good would that do?
Furnal grabbed Daniel and tried to pull him toward the cabin. "We should hurry back and hide."
"Hide? Where can we hide? They clearly have a purpose; besides capturing those five awakened apprentices, they won't let us go either. Didn't you hear their shouts? They will capture as many as they can; our mentor will benefit from them.
If our mentor can return quickly, it would be fine; at most only some apprentices would be taken. But if he can't return in time and the entire Vessels is breached by them, where can we hide?
If we really do nothing, even if we escape this calamity, who can withstand Maxwell's wrath?"
Furnal was stunned, and for a moment, he couldn't think of much. He couldn't help but ask, "What should we do? What can we do with just the few of us?"
"You know a few team leaders. Explain the situation to them and have them gather their apprentices to hold the line while I go in to find someone."
"Find someone? Who are you looking for?"
"Randolph. Right now, he's our only option. Without a leader, we'll eventually fail."
Before the conversation was finished, Daniel had already dashed into the cabin.
Furnal's expression changed, and he stomped his foot before running off to find others. After boarding the ship, he had deliberately made connections with several team leaders, hoping they could support each other when needed. He never expected he would need them so soon.
After explaining the situation to them, they all realized there was no other way and gathered their team members to rush out and fight against the opposing apprentices. They relied on the cabin door to barely withstand the attacks.
But everyone could see that it wouldn't hold for long.
Fortunately, the opponents believed the situation was already in their favor and were busy capturing apprentices, so they didn't really go all out; otherwise, the defense would have collapsed even faster.
Daniel headed straight for the upper part of the cabin, where several lavishly decorated rooms were located. He kicked open several doors in succession but found no one inside. He thought everyone must have hidden away and felt so frustrated that he wanted to curse.
