Before descending the mountain, a boy around thirteen or fourteen years old approached. "Hello, friend. Have you also chosen the Flame Throne?" 0

"Yes, may I ask who you are?" 0

"Hello, my name is Furnal, and I am also an apprentice of the Flame Throne. If you have any questions in the future, we can communicate with each other." 0

"It’s a pleasure to meet you." 0

"This is my companion, Princess Caroline of the Skelke Empire." 0

The two nodded at each other, and Caroline smiled briefly. It was evident that she still maintained the pride of a princess and looked down on Daniel, whose status was far lower. 0

After waiting for a while, three boys emerged from the Flame Throne's tent. Furnal called them over in the name of communication. In truth, it was merely out of fear of the unknown; following the principle that there is strength in numbers, they wanted to unite. 0

Seeing that it was getting late, the group began to descend the mountain. The newcomers were Hamilton, Simpson, and Mike, all of whom had chosen the Flame Throne Wizard Academy. 0

It was clear that Furnal was good at socializing. "We are all apprentices from the Okto Archipelago. Once we get to the academy, we can consider ourselves fellow townsmen and help each other out." 0

"Okto Archipelago? What does that mean?" 0

Daniel keenly noticed the location mentioned by Furnal. 0

Furnal glanced at him and continued, "Oh, you know? This continent we are on is actually quite large and is referred to as the Okto Archipelago in the outside world." 0

Islands? Daniel's mouth dropped open in surprise. After months of travel, he could be certain that this continent was at least as large as the Eurasian Continent from his past life; how could it possibly just be an archipelago? It seemed impossible! 0

How large should the true landmass be, and in what form does it exist? 0

The Eurasian Continent is already a vast area, with large deserts formed in the middle due to its distance from the ocean and scarce rainfall. 0

If it were larger than the Eurasian Continent, he could not imagine what kind of environment it would be. 0

Princess Caroline flashed a hint of disdain and muttered, "A bunch of country bumpkins." 0

This drew angry glares from several people, but they chose to ignore it for Furnal's sake. 0

"The Okto Archipelago, which is also known as the Desert Islands in the outside world." 0

Desert? Daniel was somewhat puzzled; there were quite a few people here. What kind of desert was this? It seemed to refer to a lack of certain resources. 0

"That's right. The Okto Archipelago was once a sacred place for wizards ten thousand years ago. For some unknown reason, the resources needed by wizards gradually diminished, and even the number of apprentices significantly decreased, making this land unsuitable for wizards to live in. 0

Apart from hopeless apprentices and wizards who chose to retreat from the world, there were almost no other wizards left on this continent. 0

I see, Daniel nodded. No wonder he searched through the entire study and found so little about wizards; it turned out that there were no wizards left. 0

"The true continent lies on the other side of the sea we are heading to. I've heard that there are not only various Wizard Academies up there but also countless hidden ruins and laboratories remaining. On that continent, wizards are not extinct; although they are relatively rare, they can still be seen. Only there can we engage in wizardry studies." 0

"What is the name of the place we are going to?" Daniel asked. 0

"I don't know; actually, I heard it from others. That continent is so large that it has never had a unified name, and we are going to the southern part of the continent, an area filled with academies." 0

As they talked along the way, they soon arrived at a town. Furnal led them to a bar called Flame Throne. 0

Daniel could tell just by the name that this was a gathering place for apprentices of the Flame Throne Wizard Academy. 0

A tall, burly boy with curly golden hair that resembled a lion's mane shouted at them: 0

“Furnal, you introduced me to new recruits again. Everyone, my name is Glover, and I come from the Lambasa Empire. Since you're here, don't hold back; everyone here has decided to attend Flame Throne. Feel free to ask any questions, and I will be happy to help you.” 0

Furnal shot him a fierce glare and led a few people to a nearby table. Daniel found it somewhat inappropriate that they were already forming cliques, but he understood that it was normal. 0

Traveling such a long distance to an unfamiliar place would naturally make anyone feel anxious. It was only sensible to find a few companions for mutual support in case anything happened. 0

After chatting with them for a while and agreeing to help each other out, Daniel returned to the inn where he was staying. He had brought three knights and over a dozen Squires not only for protection along the way but mainly to assist him at the Wizard Academy. 0

However, upon seeing the hundreds of knights forming an army in the military camp, Daniel realized how narrow-minded his previous perspective had been. 0

The soldiers were all composed of knights, which highlighted the strength of the Wizard Academy. Bringing along this group of Squires was practically useless; it would be better to send them back. 0

Daniel had been puzzled about how the academy would notify him. When it was time to depart, he heard a thunderous roar from above. 0

“All apprentices who have been accepted into the academy, pack your things and arrive at the port before 1 PM; there will be Vessels waiting for you.” 0

A few people agreed to go together, and Caroline scoffed, “We're going to learn magic; how could we possibly take a boat? Isn’t there a Skyship?” 0

Furnal explained, “The energy consumption of a Skyship is too high. We’re not important figures; we can only take a boat.” 0

Daniel felt somewhat disappointed; he had hoped to see a Skyship from the Wizarding World to compare it with flying vehicles from his past life. Now it seemed there was no hope for that. 0

At this moment, four large Vessels, each with distinct designs, were docked in the empty port. 0

Despite being only medium-sized compared to the Ten-Thousand-Ton Giant Ship from his previous life, these ships did not seem particularly impressive in Daniel's eyes. 0

However, while the Ten-Thousand-Ton Giant Ship was a lifeless creation of steel, these vessels felt as if they possessed their own souls, quietly docked between the mountains and waters, drifting freely across the ocean. 0

In the presence of the mysterious, primal, and awe-inspiring aura of these four Vessels, the surrounding ships were almost completely ignored! 0

Nevertheless, the group was not particularly fond of this situation. They believed that since wizards were mysterious and powerful, as apprentices they should be traveling on a Skyship, not a regular ship. 0

The Third-Level Apprentice Cecil, whom Daniel had first met, was standing at the bow waiting for them. Upon seeing them approach, he directed them to board. 0

"Alright, my future junior brothers and sisters, do you see the person sitting in the middle? That is our academy's mentor, Lord Maxwell, a powerful Formal Wizard. I advise you not to disturb him; otherwise, if anything goes wrong, don't blame me for not warning you." 0

Daniel looked over at the mysterious wizard and saw him clad in a white robe with fiery red hair, adorned with six or seven large gemstone rings on his fingers. He was chatting with two apprentices. 0

Behind him stood a man dressed in white knight's attire. 0

Daniel recognized both of them; the boy was named Randolph, and the girl was named Regina. They had awakened their bloodlines and had an extraordinary affinity for fire, able to produce flames without using magic. Once they practiced fire magic, their progress would be rapid, allowing them to go further. 0

It was unexpected for them to be received by a wizard. As for the man behind Maxwell, he was Baron, Maxwell's servant, whom Daniel had seen from a distance during a recent visit to town. He was a powerful Legendary Knight. 0

Cecil glanced at them and said, "They are not someone you can compare with. Apprentices who awaken their bloodlines will be taken as disciples by mentors." 0

Instantly, everyone cast envious glances at them; however, since they had not awakened their bloodlines, they could only envy. 0

"Stop staring; go inside and find a cabin to settle down. The one marked with flames is already occupied. Remember not to cause any trouble; otherwise, I will show you what it means to wish you were dead." 0

Furnal, Caroline, and Daniel walked together. They had already agreed to stay together as a group for mutual support in case anything happened. 0

On the road, they encountered a few sailors, and Daniel greeted them with a smile. The sailors were momentarily taken aback, nodded, and showed signs of excitement on their faces. 0

"Truly worthy of your humble beginnings; you even greet lowly sailors," Caroline said disdainfully. 0

Daniel looked at her deeply and said, "I don't know how long it will take to get to South Coast. I advise you to show them some respect. Here, being a princess doesn't mean much. So when facing knights and Great Knights, you should be respectful; who knows when we might need them." 0

Furnal couldn't believe it. "They are knights?" 0

"That's right. I've seen it; even the lowest-ranked on the ship is a knight, and that one just now was a Great Knight." 0

The group instantly felt a chill run through their minds and dared not look at the people on the ship anymore. Even the incredibly proud Caroline felt the same way. 0

Even in the Empire, knights are high-ranking nobles, and Great Knights are even more remarkable figures. Who would dare to offend them? There are plenty of ways to get rid of you if you cross them. 0

This was just an apprenticeship trip to the academy; one could only imagine how powerful the academy must be to use knights in such a manner. 0
